    A:
    {Source: B.E. / B.Tech students & alumni}

Is BE/BTech at Hindusthan Institute of Technology worth the investment?

Based on the reviews from students and alumni, here's a summary:

    Infrastructure:

    * Poor infrastructure, lacking facilities such as a swimming pool, extensive extracurricular activities, and grounds for sports.
    * Good hostel facilities, with a choice of rooms (Ultra, Dual, and Normal) and clean maintenance.
    * Availability of basic amenities like Wi-Fi, labs, classrooms, and library.

    Placement Situation:

    * Placements are poor, with only about 30-40% of students getting placed.
    * Average salary package offered is around INR3 Lacs per annum.
    * Limited job opportunities due to the recession.
    * Some companies like TCS, Infosys, and Zoho do participate in the campus placement process.

    Teaching Quality:

    * Majority of faculty members are not well-trained, but some do provide good theoretical knowledge.
    * Helpful teachers who assist students in completing coursework.
    * Pass percentage is generally high, around 80%.

    Other Aspects:

    * Extracurricular activities and events are limited.
    * Scholarship options are available for government-quota students.
    * A mix of both online and offline resources are used for learning.

Considering these factors, whether or not the BE/BTech programme at Hindusthan Institute of Technology is worth the investment depends on individual priorities and expectations. While the institution has its strengths, such as good hostel facilities and relatively affordable fees, it falls short in terms of infrastructure and placement opportunities. Therefore, prospective students must weigh these pros and cons carefully before making a decision.

Absolutely good if you are willing to learn and grow, with decent placements.
Placements: There is a special placement team providing placement training for students. The highest package is 21 lakhs per annum, and the lowest is 4 lakhs per annum. The most recruiting companies are CTC and PayPal. The placement rate this year is around 70 percent.
Infrastructure: The lab is equipped with free Wi-Fi and has the necessary software to build projects. The hostels are really good, with quality food and accommodation. We can choose rooms based on our budget and facilities. The girls have deluxe and ultra deluxe rooms, while the boys have deluxe, ultra deluxe, and super deluxe rooms, all with built-in dining.
Faculty: The faculties are highly qualified and very friendly. They encourage participation in various events like hackathons and other tech events. The syllabus is precise and based on Anna University’s curriculum. The semesters are easy to clear because most of the questions get repeated from previous years.

    Everything about my college.
Placements: There is only 30 to 50 percent of students who got placed. The highest package offered is the 8 Lacs per annum and the lowest package is 2 Lacs per annum. The placements start from 3rd year onwards which helps us gain experience.
Infrastructure: There are many facilities in our college provided by the management. There's no Wi-Fi in our college campus, it is provided in the college hostel. The infrastructure is very good. There are many canteens in our college campus. No importance is given to sports.
Faculty: The teachers are very helpful, qualified and knowledgeable. Their teaching quality was awesome. The semester exams are very easy for those who study. The teachers are like our friends and family, they do not to compare the students.

HITECH 2023-2027: Get the Best in Everything
Placements: The percentage of students placed in our college is only 60%. The average salary package ranges up to 3 lakhs per annum, and there is a lack of placements in core departments. Top recruiting companies are Amazon, Zoho, Wipro, Accenture, and others.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure in our college is at an average level. Most of the staff are not highly experienced, but you can gain some knowledge from one or two well-trained staff members. Hostel facilities are at an average level, but the food is very poor.
Faculty: Passing exams in our college is not a big deal if there is a lot of guidance given to the students. The staff will help you pass your end-semester examinations with their guidance. The question papers are not at all tough, so you can pass easily.

Satisfactory with good cost and effective knowledge; room for improvement in other areas.
Placements: While coming to the placement side at Hindustan Institute of Technology, Coimbatore, the placement situation is very poor. For example, if 3,000 students complete the academic year, only about 1,000 students get placed. That means only 30-40% of the students are getting placements, and even among them, some receive offer letters while others do not. We do not know what happens behind the scenes, but it cannot be said that the college is not bringing placement companies. The issue might also be with the students' logical thinking and aptitude test performance.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure at Hindustan Institute of Technology is lacking. There are no facilities like a swimming pool or extensive extracurricular activities. The infrastructure is quite poor, and there is no ground available for sports. However, the hostel facilities are excellent. The hostel is clean, with staff cleaning it weekly. In the first year, you will get a four-sharing room with a common bathroom. In the second year, there are three types of rooms: Ultra, Dual, and Normal. The Normal rooms come with six-sharing and no attached bathroom, while the Ultra and Dual rooms have attached bathrooms.
Faculty: Regarding the faculty, most of the faculty members are not well-trained, but some do provide core knowledge on subjects that can help you succeed in the course. Campus life and exams are manageable, and you can clear your exams with the help of the faculty.
Other: The college is located in a major road in the Coimbatore region. Compared to other colleges in the Coimbatore and Chennai regions, Hindustan Institute of Technology offers a course costing around 7 lakhs, whereas other colleges charge around 8 to 9 lakhs.

    Hindusthan student review.
Placements: When I joined this college computer science and engineering were the best courses for me so I joined this college and about 128 students chose this group. Many top MNC companies have recruited for this group and the average package for this group is 6 lacs.
Infrastructure: The college campus and infrastructure are very good for the students and the college management has been providing libraries and digital classrooms. And the hostel food is not good and the college management charges 40,000 for me to stay in the hostel for a year.
Faculty: When it comes to the college management and faculty members, they have a good, friendly nature toward the majority of students and computer science and engineering is the best course, which will have a bright future for students. The pass percentage will be above 50%, and the fee for the semester is 2600.
Other: I left the college in 2024 but because of the recession, there were limited job opportunities available. They have conducted sports and extracurricular activities as well.

    Hindustan College of Engineering.
Placements: Our batch is enjoyable. This course makes students prove themselves with technical support and developing skills. This allows students to enrich design thinking and verbal. A student who scored more than 7.5 CGPA in our course gets a record of 100% of placements. The highest salary package offered in the previous set is 15 LPA. The lowest salary package offered is 7 LPA. According to our college, the top recruitment company for our course is GUVI. Around 60% of students got internships from the computer science and engineering course in TCS, GUVI, etc. Roles secured by students are HR and managing developer.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is insecure and students cannot access it. The infrastructure of our college is surprising and makes all to study well. The department provides all facilities we require. Labs are in good condition. In a hostel, we have 3 varieties like deluxe, ultra deluxe, and normal. These 3 have similar food. The food quality is average. The Incubation Centre and Start UPAT Hindusthan College of Engineering and Technology promote innovation, research, and entrepreneurial activities in technology-based areas. It provides a platform for start-ups by young entrepreneurs to convert their innovative ideas into commercially viable products. It provides services related to patenting and commercialization.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful at any time. They are well-qualified and experienced. They share their skills and knowledge easily. The curriculum is a bit different from our field. It helps students to get ready for the industry.
Other: I chose computer science and engineering because it was good when I joined college. The lab sessions should be better. Hindustan College of Engineering provides students with better memories in college time but not for careers. If we want to enjoy our college life, we can choose this college want to build a better career, then choose any other colleges that like the most.
