They provide good setup to prepare ourselves for pre placement.

Placements: They provide a good setup to prepare for pre-placement exams, but very few companies come to our college for placements. The college provides links to give the aptitude test. They also provide placement training to us. If you follow all the detailed curriculum, then you can get a job.

Placements in our college are not satisfying.

Placements: Placements are not the best here. Placements are good for civil engineering, computer science engineering and ECE department. This year, the number of placed students has increased in the mechanical department, but the average salary package offered is not satisfactory.

The college provides average placements with good faculty.

Placements: Placements in this college are good. Placements for the civil engineering and mechanical engineering departments are very good, but placements for other departments are average. The future planning of placement is good. Multinational companies do not visit the campus for placements. However, small scale companies offer placements.

Localites can choose this college to pursue engineering, but the placements are not good.

Placements: Placements in college were extremely average. The major recruiter for our batch (2017) was Tech Mahindra, but it recruited only students who had 70% marks in all the academic years so far. So, not many students could attend the placement drive. This was the only major on-campus recruitment for all streams. Other than this, there were a few good companies which recruited only ECE and CS students. There were a few pool campus drives, but very few students could get placements. Placements were extr...

Good college for people who cannot score good enough at entrance exams.

Placements: Very poor, maximum of 30% were placed. The highest salary was 3 Lacs per annum Poor standard of companies like start up mainly and companies were sometimes fake too Internship were totally based on self that you had to arrange for your own internship and they were of no value to the visiting companies or college.

Satisfied and dissatisfied at the same time.

Placements: Placement of our senior batch was not that bad, and this year also the college is giving everything it could, but then the question arises how the neighbouring colleges can offer such quality placements. Our college just couldn't bring depression to the really good students.

Dissatisfied with the college's faculty's teaching methods.

Placements: We got 30% placements from the ECE department in 2015. The company offered 15k as salary which was the highest and 10k which was the lowest salary. Two to three students got selected from our campus in the ECE department. CSE department's placement was higher than the other four departments (civil engineering, mechanical engineering, electric engineering, electronics and communication engineering).

Institutions always provide good education.

Placements: Placements, being the main curriculum in this context, had been great and the recruitment happened by renowned companies like Tech Mahindra, and many other IT companies through campus recruitment. It is the matter of fact that the hiring process does not guarantee a placement of each candidate and leave with the unsatisfactory outcomes. In spite of certain restrictions, many of our friends cracked the course and got placed.

College location is very good. Faculty members are very helpful. It takes 10 minute form Hooghly station and 5 minutes from Hooghly Ghat station. A big play ground in the college premises is there. Computer lab and others labs, all are in good condition.

It is a college situated at Hoogly-Chinsurah, around 2 km from Hooghly station. The management of the college and their degree of responsibility towards the students and faculty members is very poor. The standard of education and the dedication of faculty is very good, but due to lack of seriousness from the management, lack of facilities within the campus, and most importantly, a very poor placement records I am writing a negative review for this college.

The college used to be very good in its early days but the value dropped due course of time and the most valued teachers are no more in the college. It looks like an attrition of good qualified teachers in the college. Rest is up to the candidate's discretion to take decision.

Review of Hooghly Engineering and Technology College.

Placements: Almost 2% or less than that students got placed here. A talented student has a scope of placements, and many students are wondering after finishing this course. Good companies visit our college for placements, and good students are selected. Students have to work harder in order to get employed.

I suggest you do not take admission in this college.

Placements: Our college provides a few placements in civil engineering and mechanical engineering course. Our college does not invite IT companies for recruitment. Placements in our college are very poor.
