    An overview of IHM Pusa.
Placements: The college provides a 100% placement opportunity, which is the best among all existing institutions. Our batch consists of roughly 300 students, and it is an assurance that all of them would be placed in the best options in the industry. Companies like IHCL, Hyatt, Taj, Oberoi, and ITC are among the hotels that come for placement.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is good. I would say the building is old, could be bigger, but is okay. There are enough theory classrooms as well as practical classes to accommodate all students. We have a library but not that well equipped. We do not have Wi-Fi access for students on college campuses; also, the cellular network of the area is weak for companies like Airtel.
Faculty: The faculty is absolutely good. We have teachers with ample amounts of experience in the industry and are very well-versed in their subject. The curriculum is very well set entirely for us and is completely relevant. Although we have yoga as a compulsory subject for first years because of the new education policy.
Other: I think the infrastructure of the college could be better. The campus is a small piece of land of just 2.4 acres, which should definitely increase. This land also includes hostel and faculty houses. The college organizes a lot of events occasionally, which keeps all the clubs occupied. We have innovative things like pakhwadas and nukkad natak.

My description of India's No.1 Hospitality and Hotel Management Institute, IHM Pusa.
Placements: Placement rates are the highest amongst all the IHM institutes in the whole country. Almost all the big international and national hospitality brands are associated with the Indian Institute of Hospitality, Catering, Nutrition, and Hotel Management Institute Pusa.
Infrastructure: Great infrastructure. Even though the red magnificent building is old, it stands tall with the respect of hosting some of India's most prominent figures in the hospitality industry. Well-equipped with modern-edge technology and facilities, this building is a benchmark of success.
Faculty: Excellent faculty with extreme knowledge and experience over a large duration of time in the industry. They have witnessed the shift of the market in the industry. They guide and provide proper aid to all the students walking into the gates of IHM Pusa.

All about IHM PUSA, you need to know .
Placements: The placement percentage last year was 98.7%. The highest package was 9.5 LPA and the lowest package was 2.5 LPA. The top recruiters were Sodexo, Zomato, IHCL, ITC Hotels, and JW Marriott. 100% of my batch got internships at IHCL, ITC hotels, Marriott International, Hayat, Hilton, Radisson and many more. The top roles offered were management trainee, area manager and many more .
Infrastructure: The infrastructure over all is good but the down side is since it is the oldest IHM, the infrastructure lags in my modern equipment. And the condition of the classroom is average. The faculty is very highly educated; most of the faculty hold Ph.D. degrees, mostly in hospitality sector and almost every faculty member has industry experience. But on the contrary, the old faculty is more focused on theory than on practical. The hostels are old and need repair. The food served in the college mess is below average. There is no such thing as a medical facility. There are annual sports events held in college every year on the Commonwealth Games grounds.
Faculty: The faculty is very highly educated; most of the faculty hold Ph.D. degrees, mostly in hospitality sector and almost every faculty member has industry experience. But on the contrary, the old faculty is more focused on theory than on practical. The course curriculum is very relevant. It makes the students industry-ready and more than capable of taking on the position offered by different companies at the end of the course. The semester exams are not at all difficult compared to other courses; they're quite easy. You can easily crack the semester-end exam by studying one night prior to the exam. The passing percentage is 40%.
Other: I chose the hospitality industry because I am passionate about serving people and making them feel welcome. I enjoy interacting with people from all walks of life and helping them have a positive experience. I also have strong communication, problem-solving, and customer service skills. I am confident that my skills and abilities would make me a valuable asset to your team.

India's number 1 hotel management college.
Placements: Our college is India's number one hotel management college. Its record to provide placement is fantastic. Almost 100 percent students get placed every year. Top recruiters companies are ITC, HAAYAT, ACCOR, JLL, DIVERSY, IHG, IHCL, OBEROI, etc. Average package is around 4-5 lakhs per annum.
Infrastructure: The college doesn't provide wifi facilities. However, day scholar students are allowed to have lunch. Hostels get 4 meals a day, which are breakfast, lunch, high tea, and dinner. There is also a library. Food of the mess is awesome.
Faculty: Teachers are well educated and experienced. Most of the teachers graduated from this same institute. The course is not so hard; it is not rocket science. Any average student can definitely go for this course. Semester exams are also easy. However, end semesters are a little bit difficult.

A college which can transform you from an average guy to a professional Hotelier.
Placements: IHM Pusa has a very excellent history of a great number of placements, which is about 97-98% every year. The highest package offered to a Pusa student is about 9 LPA and the lowest is about 3-4 LPA. The average package offered is about 5-6 LPA every year. The top recruiting companies that come to our college are Taj Hotels, The Oberoi, ITC, JW Marriott, Hyatt regency and many more companies. The internship in our college is mandatory for all the students who are a part of IHM Pusa. So the percentage of internships is about 100%. The roles offered are management trainees, operational Trainees and many more posts.
Infrastructure: There are mostly 2 buildings, one old and one new building. The old building mainly contained the theory classroom and one housekeeping lab for housekeeping practical. It contains the mess of the college, where all students have their lunch during college hours and the breakfast and dinner are provided only for the hostelers. The new building consists of the main practical labs for practical operations for all the degree students as well as diploma students. We have: 3 big kitchens for food production practical. 3 bakery labs for Bakery Classes 2 front office labs with computers on each table. 1 Library for students 2 labs for food & beverages and 2 restaurants where we also practice our F&B skills by serving our teachers. There is Wi-Fi in the college but those are only for the faculty members. The hostel facilities are also very good. It has both a triple-seater room with 2 fans and a single-seater room with an air conditioner. The food provided to us has the best quality, which is consumable on a daily basis without any hesitation. We have a basketball court, a volleyball court, a badminton court and a table tennis board to play in our free time.
Faculty: The teachers and other facilities are very helpful and they have great knowledge regarding their department and subject. The teachers do everything in a very friendly manner and they give time and attention to each student with their full focus. The course curriculum is very relevant to the industry with which we are going to be a part. The semester exams are not as difficult as any other college but you have to be quick with your thinking and you have to think outside the box to have a great name in this industry and be creative. The pass percentage is about 30-40% of the marks as per the subject.
Other: I chose this course because I wanted to travel places, meet many people, interact with them and know the cuisine of other states and countries. The college organizes many festivals and programs, such as dandiya, Diwali, Holi, Dusshera and many more.

The college is very strict regarding your grooming standards.
Placements: Beginning in the third year or the fifth semester, the students will be qualified to take the placement exam. Many businesses, including the most well-known ones, came to offer placements. ITC, HAAYAT, Marriott, IHCL, IHG, Accor, and others are a few of them. The MT program's average annual package would be 6 lakhs, while the OT program's would be 4 lakhs. While other students pursue higher education, I will most certainly pursue a college placement.
Infrastructure: Hostel facilities are fine. We get both hot and cold water 24*7. Meals include breakfast, lunch, high tea, and dinner. Single rooms are air-conditioned rooms. We have also provided a badminton court, a volleyball court, and table tennis. There is also the facility of a gym. If someone is looking for a room or pg there are some regions like Todapur and Patel Nagar. Students can also avail rooms there at a cheap price if they search well.
Faculty: The Faculty-Student relationship is very friendly. The Faculty are very approachable, and you can interact with them personally and text them if required in an urgent manner. Some of my favourite teachers are Chef Vineet, Chef Mamta, Pratyush Sir, and Chef Sarthak. I have interacted with them personally, and in that regard, I can assure that no student can have any difficulty in settling with the college or with the faculty. There are about 2 exams in each semester. A mid term exam and an end-of-semester exam. I recently gave the mid-sem exam, and it was very easy to score marks if you just attended the classes attentively and went through the notes given by the teachers just 1-2 weeks before the exam. It’s not that difficult for anyone to pass the exam.
Other: I don't think this college needs any improvements.

    A:

You can gain admission to the prestigious Institute of Hotel Management by taking the NCHMCT JEE. There, you need to have a proper strategy to prepare for the NCHMCT JEE. Some suggestions to help you prepare for this exam are as follows:

    1. Create a preparation plan: After going through the exam pattern and syllabus, you need to make a pre-study plan according to the time available to you.
    2. Select the right study material: You have to select the right study material that covers each topic of the NCHMCT JEE. You can also check previous year's papers to shortlist study material.
    3. Section-wise preparation: There are five sections, out of which English and aptitude for the service sector carry more weight in the score. Therefore, you need to focus more on these sections.
    4. Revision: You need to create topic-wise notes for revision during mock practice. You may make notes only on important topics or on those in which you are facing difficulties.
    5. Practice: To prepare well, you need to practice as much as you can. You can do daily section-wise practice and give a weekly mock test.

Q:   Which is better - BHM or BSc in hotel management?

    A:

The course curriculum is almost the same for both courses. Hence, the Bachelor of Hotel Management (BHM) and BSc in Hotel Management are practically similar. After the BHM course, a student can join the hotel and tourism industry. However, after completing a BSc in Hotel Management course, candidates can also join the airline industry.

Moreover, the BSc in Hotel Management offers a general overview of the industry rather than concentrating on specialised subjects. It is more technical and has an impact on the fundamentals of hotel management. BHM focuses primarily on the management processes and activities involved in hotel management.
