One of the best colleges and best teachers are available.
Placements: 75 percent of students were placed in our college with the highest package of 13 lacs per annum and the lowest package of 2.3 lacs per annum. Top companies offered an internship. Few students got opportunity of internship. Top roles offered are geologist, data analyst, teaching job, etc.
Infrastructure: Excellent infrastructure and good facilities are provided, like Wi-Fi with unlimited access, labs with advanced equipment, a library with research papers and articles, excellent food quality, a mess and canteen that is hygienic, medical facilities that are also available, and sports and cultural events are included.
Faculty: Lectures are very kind and they have good qualifications and knowledge in teaching. The teaching quality is very professional, which we can be able to understand easily. Our course is not curriculum-relevant. Exams are a bit difficult; we have to study to pass 50 percent of the marks required to pass the semester exams.

It is a good college from the academic prospect, but not from placements points of view.
Placements: Students from our department did not get placed in the year 2021. But other departments have a decent placement. A good enough app is there for placements, and anyone can download that and manage their placements. There is a placement guide, which conducts a mock interview and group discussions.
Infrastructure: Our college provides air-conditioned classrooms. Laboratories are well-equipped with the latest equipment. The library is fully furnished. Hostels are well-equipped with facilities like Wi-Fi, a washing machine and water purifiers. The hostels are a bit crowded, and Beds are not enough to provide for everyone.
Faculty: Our college has a very good course curriculum. The course curriculum is helpful for exams like GATE, NET, etc. Faculty members are very helpful, and you will feel like friends. Exams are more or less difficult, but they guide you. Remedial classes are also conducted. Exam analysis is also there.
Other: Scholarships are available here. Events and fests organised are praiseworthy.

The college has good infrastructure and facilities.
Placements: About 86 percent of students got placed here in this course. The highest package is 9 Lacs per year, the average package is 6 Lacs per year, and the lowest package is 3 Lacs per year. Top recruiting companies like Wipro, Accenture, and Mahindra visit here; many students got internships from HP companies. The top offered jobs for the students from this course are geologist, data engineer, etc.
Infrastructure: The facilities and infrastructure available here are good, and the Wi-Fi facilities are good as they provide good Wi-Fi facilities, which helps students. Classrooms are neat and have smart boards and even chalkboards. The library has plenty of books, and they are updating the library as the syllabus changes. The hostel facility is okay as we have a mess here in the hostel itself; they provide us with healthy food, and they keep the mess clean. The canteen is also available here; staff and students can have a meal even if they don't have class; they can come here. The medical facilities are good; they will react immediately if any students or staff need medical attention. Sports and games are even supported; they conduct sports events during the college day. Even many competitions are held to encourage us in sports.
Faculty: The teachers are well-qualified, and teachers will help us to clarify our doubts. They are knowledgeable. Yes, the course is curriculum-relevant, and it makes students industry-ready. The semester exams are a bit difficult, but if you study, you can score good marks. About 90 percent of students got passed.

IIEST is not a bad choice to pursue M.Sc.
Placements: Placements at IIEST are pretty impressive, especially for B. Tech. But as my department is a research-oriented field, placements are less. However, companies like Aakash, etc., hire students for the teaching role, and Zifo also visited to offer the role of a trainee. Internships and training are also provided, which helps you to get job-ready.
Infrastructure: Hostels are great here. The hostel which I got was the best, and it is named Lt. William. It has an elevator, Wi-Fi facilities and washing machines on every floor. Hostel rooms are huge enough to accommodate 3 students. The food served here includes both vegetarian and non-vegetarian. Medical facilities are available for every student for free of cost. Sports culture at IIEST is very competitive. There are all sorts of sports teams, equipment and grounds, and coaches related to them are available to every scholar. Labs are good, and there is almost every equipment. Classrooms are spacious, and the number of students is low in our department, but it has its own perks. The library is the best I have ever seen, and it is named after the renowned mathematician named Ramanujan.
Faculty: Teachers here are really helpful, very much qualified and skilled. The interaction between students and teachers, especially in M.Sc courses is very good. This course helps to gain in-depth knowledge about food science and encourages you to choose it as your research field.
Other: The best part of IIEST is its great alumni network. It the oldest institute of India, and it organises one of the greatest fests in Kolkata of Howrah region, i.e., Rebecca. But unfortunately, we didn't get a chance to attend it due to the COVID-19 pandemic, but it is worth to attend. Cultural fests like Pongal, Kali puja, Diwali, Holi and Saraswati Puja were best and most joyful events of my college life.

It is a very bad institute in West Bengal.
Placements: None of the companies visits our institute for placements and chemistry department at least. Teachers won't tell you or refer you to any company. I suggest students don't take admission in this institute, mainly in the chemistry department. It is very bad.
Infrastructure: There is no hostel, and the course is very boring. The hostel is available only for B.Tech students. Hostels are built before Independence, and they are like the broken old temple. Sometimes, dirt and unhygienic can be seen in the hostel. However, the food served here is sometimes good, and the Wi-Fi speed is somehow good.
Faculty: Faculty members are biased. The course curriculum is old, and the teaching style of the professors is boring. Teaching hours are long. There is no improvement needed except for some tutors in organic and physical departments. The other professors are very unprofessional, and most of them behave poorly.
Other: I have chosen this course by mistake.

The college provides an excellent and productive environment.
Placements: All students of 2019 batch got their placements off-campus. The lowest salary that was offered was Rs. 15,000 per month and the highest salary offered was around Rs. 22,000 per month. Top roles offered in the course are food analysts, food microbiologists, food safety officers, quality control managers, etc. Around 60% of the students got enrolled in various internships.
Infrastructure: Classrooms are equipped with good infrastructure, and various tools and methods are used for teaching. The labs are just fine with all the needed laboratory apparatus which can be used for carrying out research work. The classrooms and library are provided with high-speed Wi-Fi. The Hostels are awesome, and the mess food is just fantastic. The Hostels are also provided with a high-speed Wi-Fi which gives a seamless experience while browsing through the course content.
Faculty: The department consists of highly qualified professors who knows the best way to impart knowledge among students. Professors recruited in the department have a very good background and sound knowledge of their respective subjects. The teaching methods that they use are brilliant, and they give their best in making the course interesting. The course curriculum is designed in such a smart way that it is for sure, going to make the students ready for the corporate world and industry.
Other: Being a student in the field of life sciences and having a biology background, I wanted to stay connected with my field, and along with that, I wanted to give myself some exposure to the industry and corporate world. The course is designed in such a way that its syllabus covers a majority portion of the GATE Life Sciences and CSIR NET syllabus, so I have an advantage to that.
