Indian Institute of Engineering Science and Technology, Shibpur,is the second oldest engineering clg

Faculty: Professors and staff are very helpful and supportive. All are well-qualified and experts in their fields. Academics are slightly harder than in other NITs. The semester examination is divided into two parts: 1. Mid-semester examination 2. End-semester examination. The mid-sem is easier than the end-sem.

Good campus life and exposure. Old infrastructure but enough. Good placements and faculty.

Faculty: Teachers are highly qualified, but only some teachers teach well. Every professor has something unique to teach you other than studies. Some teachers have a personality that will teach you how to enjoy life, and some show you the importance of seriousness in life. Overall, the faculty is nice, but don't compare their classes to YouTube tutorials. The course does not actually make you industry-ready, but when you complete it, you get enough knowledge that you can become industry-ready in the 6-mo...

Review on IIEST Shibpur in my view overall.

Faculty: Yes, teachers are helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. Their way of teaching is good. There are 2 exams in 1 semester. They are divided into mid-semester examination and end-semester examination. In the mid-term, half of the syllabus comes in the examination, but in the end-semester examination, the full syllabus will come.

Dissatised with infrastructure and placements. Really good teaching faculty members.

Faculty: As per my knowledge, the student-faculty ratio is 11:1. All the teachers are good in their subjects, and their background in research is remarkable. Most of the faculty members are good at interacting with students. There are two semesters in a year. The difficulty level of the paper is moderate. The number of classes is very less during the mid and end-semester exams.

My college life at IIEST, SHIBPUR.

Faculty: Most of our faculty are locals who speak Bengali. So their English is mixed with a Bengali accent, which is very hard to understand. The course curriculum is relevant, which makes the students ready for the placements. The semester exams are very difficult so the certificate has a very high value. The pass percentage is 40%.

College with billion dreams, which come true because of knowledge delivered by the teachers here.

Faculty: Here, the best and most important thing is teachers are highly qualified and knowledge is infinite. They will provide and explain every concept in detail to every student. I'm very grateful for that one particular thing. Course is not that much relevant, but it's moreover outdated so students must learn other skills by themselves. I would rate 6 out of 10 for difficult exams.

SHIBPUR beauty of its campus is external and marvelous. The Lords and The Oval have a green campus.

Faculty: All the faculty members are highly qualified, supportive, and have excellent skills in their teaching. Our professors' teaching style and course materials are highly relevant and effective. The exam questions were closely aligned with the course materials and topics discussed in class by our professors.

Absolutely satisfied because of our college faculty and internship opportunities.

Faculty: Our college has very good faculty, and they completed their Ph.D. in very prestigious institutions, holding very good ranks in GATE and having good salaries here. They are very strict, and their correction is very strict, meaning we can’t get full marks in our exams.

My honest review regarding IIEST SHIBPUR.

Faculty: Most of the faculty members for the first year are Ph.D. scholars, and they are experts in their respective subjects. Our teachers' teaching and explanations are really good. Yes, our course is the same across the country, and it is industry-based. The semester exams in our college are really difficult if you haven't practiced. The pass marks for each subject are at least 40, and you need to score a minimum of 40 marks to pass the exam.

Campus Review of IIEST Shibpur.

Faculty: Faculty members are very helpful and supportive, addressing doubts whenever needed. They are approachable and available to assist students. The curriculum is slightly misaligned with industry requirements and requires modifications. Students often need to prepare separately to secure internships. Each semester consists of two exams: midsem and endsem. The midsem is easier to score in due to its limited syllabus and 30-mark structure, while the endsem is tougher as it covers a broader syllabus an...

Good Quality of Education, Moderate Infrastructure, and Placements, Overall Good College.

Faculty: The teachers are the most prestigious assets of this institute. A lot of well-experienced, knowledgeable teachers are present in every department who will guide you through the entire 4 years of college life. The assignments were of good number and tested the knowledge of the subject. The semester exams are moderately tough, with some challenging questions and sometimes matched with previous years' papers. The passing percentage is 40.
