IIFT Kolkata Placement Overview

The highest (domestic) and average package offered during IIFT Kolkata MBA IB placements 2023 stood at INR 76.5 LPA and INR 29.10 LPA, respectively. Furthermore, the highest (international) and median package offered was INR 85.4 LPA and INR 26.50 LPA, respectively during IIFT Kolkata placements 2023. A total of 108 companies visited the campus and many top recruiters visited the campus such as TATA Steel, Deloitte, Loreal, Flipkart among others.

Similarly, the highest, average and median stipend offered was INR 4.40 lakh, INR 2.63 lakh and INR 2.50 lakh during summer placements 2022-2024 batch. A total of 100 companies and 36 new recruiters visited IIFT Kolkata campus.The stipend was offered for a period of two months.

IIFT to an amazing experience and learning.

Placements: All students were placed, top roles were offered by international companies. Top recruiting companies include tata steel, airtel, sharpoji pallonji, vodafone, P&G. Median package was 15lpa and minimum was 10lpa. Top roles were finance and IT. Operations .

Infrastructure: Very good infrastructure. Everyone has a separate room. My room had a balcony also. Everyday maid comes and cleans. It is located outside the city so its calm. No outside food is readily available as located very far off from the city. One mall is there called acropolis.

Faculty: Faculty is very nice, they have Ph.D. and constantly remain in touch with industry. Some faculty like MS Tammanna is very good for trade and agri commodities. Being a very old institution it has attracted lot of good teachers who have done and have experience in teaching IIM A.

A college with good placement opportunities and infrastructure.

Placements: IIFT is known for its excellent placements which are on par with the best B-schools in India. This has been possible due to a very hardworking and dedicated placement team. They ensure that students in both the batches get a shot at their dream job or internship.

Infrastructure: The campus at Kolkata is very new, and the infrastructure is very good. It is a Wi-Fi enabled campus and is equipped with modern classrooms and a state-of-the-art auditorium. There are a gym and other facilities available for sports and games as well. The hostel has single occupancy rooms, and it creates an environment that is conducive to learning.

Faculty: IIFT boasts of some of the most knowledgeable faculty members. Most of them hold doctorates in their respective fields. Faculty members are updated with the latest trends in their respective fields. They encourage students to learn through assignments and projects which are relevant in today's world.

Placements: IIFT has consistently secured 100% placements over the years. The best brands in the country visit IIFT to recruit students. Around 69% of the students of 2017-2019 batch secured stipends of 6 digits. Some of the companies which visit IIFT visit only IIM ABC, apart from IIFT. IIFT has the honour to host a leader in every domain.

Infrastructure: IIFT has two beautiful campuses in northern Delhi and eastern Kolkata of the country. Both the campuses have an excellent hostel, library, auditorium, and ancillary facilities. IIFT, Kolkata has a single occupancy hostel which is an added advantage.

Faculty: The academic curriculum of IIFT adheres to the best standards in the country. IIFT pays special attention to international aspects of the business which is its USP. Faculty members of IIFT have rich academic, industry, government, and research experience. Students get a lot of opportunities to work on government projects.

Absolutely satisfied with my experience at IIFT.

Placements: The placements at IIFT are quite good. The batch of 2016-18 recorded 100% placements with the highest international package of 1 crore per annum. The average salary package offered was 19.23 LPA. Every major brand in the domain of finance, marketing, operations, and trade visits the campus for placements.

Infrastructure: The classrooms are fully air-conditioned, and the classroom infrastructure is new. The campus is fully Wi-Fi enabled. The library is huge with all the books related to the course, and there are books related to other genres too. The hostel rooms are well-equipped with furniture, and there are single occupancy rooms.

Faculty: Each and every teacher at IIFT have completed their PhDs and have good experience in the industry and their domains. Every subject is taught from an international perspective. The course curriculum is rigorous, and it is mandatory for the students to maintain 80% attendance.

Great infrastructure and placements.

Placements: Due to a smaller batch size when compared to other top B-schools, IIFT always has a record of 100% placements in both summer internships and final placements. The placement report clearly states all the companies that visit our campus. Generally, high salary packages are offered for international roles in trade domain, and the highest CTC offered till now is 1.50 crores per annum. In the domestic level, the highest salary package offered is 29 LPA.

Infrastructure: With a batch of around 120 students and a brand new campus, infrastructure is never an issue at IIFT Kolkata. Although, there is a lack of sports facilities. However, the gym and indoor gaming facilities are excellent. The ambience in campus is peaceful and beautiful.

Faculty: Electives are decided based on students voting every year. There is an option to go for dual majors. A general misconception about IIFT is that it has a very tough course curriculum for PG degree in international business which is not true. The courses are very smoothly distributed across the 18 months.

Other: The culture at IIFT improved since last year. Advait 1.0 is the cultural fest organised at IIFT Kolkata. Many other inter and intra sports fests are conducted throughout the year.

Placements for summers and finals are good. A serene campus to live in with an exceptional pedagogy.

Placements: Placements are the most important aspect of joining a B-School. IIFT has maintained its record of having 100% placements every year. Being a trade college, we have the highest paying offers from commodity trading companies with the package in 8 digits and international offers. Most of the companies that visit in summer placements also offer an international project, and on getting a PPO, you can get an international role. So, IIFT stands by its name of specialising in international trade.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure of Kolkata campus is like a resort with many amenities. The library is well-stocked with the books of all domains. The classrooms are well-maintained to give you a professional feel of MBA which is a huge upgrade that you might have had in your bachelors. Our college has three beautiful lakes, a centralised air-conditioning system, a huge auditorium with all technical facilities of sound projectors, etc. There is a digital room which you can utilise for availing computer facilities and to take printouts. Coming to the hostel part, we have a volleyball court, a badminton court, a table tennis room, a TV room, and a dance room where there is a huge mirror to practice. Food in the mess is good and clean, and there is a change in the menu every month, so you don't get bored with eating the same food. There are common rooms to help you with your group assignments and a visiting doctor for healthcare.

Faculty: All the faculty members are well-experienced with high specialisation in all domains. Every classroom has a projector where case-studies are displayed to help the student with real-life scenarios for understanding the subject. IIFT has a port visit in its curriculum where students can not only choose from the domestic ports but also provided with an option to visit international ports such as Dubai, Kuala Lumpur, and Shanghai. The list of electives to choose is varied, and students get a lot of options to choose their specialisation. A student can also go for three or more specialisations in domains like finance, marketing, operation, trade and strategy.
