IIFT Kolkata applications 2025 are open for MBA(IB) & MBA(BA). The list of shortlisted candidates for second round of admission will be released during the last week of Jan 2025. A few more updates are as follows:

Online Certificate Programme in Export Import Management (Online) applications are closed.
Executive Post Graduate Diploma in International Business Extempore/Interview (online) will be scheduled tentatively in the 3rd week of Dec 2024.
Online Certificate Programme in Global Trade Logistics and Port Operations (Online) applications are open, and the last date is Jan 15, 2025.

Indian Institute of Foreign Trade Fee Structure

Indian Institute of Foreign Trade fee structure for different programmes lies between INR 75,000 and INR 2,097,314. While candidates can pay the fee annually or semester-wise depending on the ask during Indian Institute of Foreign Trade admissions, there are a few components which are paid only once, namely one-time fee. The total fee for MBA in International Business at IIFT Kolkata is INR 20.97 lakh. This fee is inclusive of components, namely tuition, library, internet, medical insurance, course material, hostel charges (for double occupancy, boarding charges, students and alumni activity. The students of SC, ST and PWD categories are given 50% concession in the tuition fee. If the student opts for single or triple occupancy accommodation, the aforementioned fee will vary. The Institute operates Need Based Scholarship Scheme under which it pays interest subsidy on Educational Loan for 27 months from the time the loan in taken from a Bank. Any student who has taken the loan and whose family income is less than 6.50 lakh per year can apply under this scholarship. Depending upon the fee and other expenses the amount of educational loan is revised every year.

IIFT to an amazing experience and learning.

Placements: All students were placed, top roles were offered by international companies. Top recruiting companies include tata steel, airtel, sharpoji pallonji, vodafone, P&G. Median package was 15lpa and minimum was 10lpa. Top roles were finance and IT. Operations .

Infrastructure: Very good infrastructure. Everyone has a separate room. My room had a balcony also. Everyday maid comes and cleans. It is located outside the city so its calm. No outside food is readily available as located very far off from the city. One mall is there called acropolis.

Faculty: Faculty is very nice, they have Ph.D. and constantly remain in touch with industry. Some faculty like MS Tammanna is very good for trade and agri commodities. Being a very old institution it has attracted lot of good teachers who have done and have experience in teaching IIM A.

It is a place that provides excellent placements, great faculty and amazing campus to MBA students.

Placements: IIFT achieved 100% placements in summer internships with the average stipend of around Rs. 1.5 lakhs. Brands like JP Morgan, Goldman Sachs, ITC, GCPL and Shell continued their existing partnership with IIFT and recruited students in good numbers. The current batch for summer internships also saw some new associations with companies like Microsoft, AB InBev, Reliance Industries and Tata Sky. They visited the campus to recruit students. On similar lines, the final placements of the senior batch also saw an upward trend in the average salary package offered with all the students getting placed in well-known brands in the industry.

Infrastructure: IIFT has a sprawling campus of about 6 acres which houses top quality classrooms, a 500-seater auditorium, an open amphitheatre and library. Being a fully residential campus, it has a state-of-the-art hostel facility with round-the-clock staff for cleaning and maintenance. The hostel also houses a mess, a cafe, a utility store and a laundry service. Food provided in the mess is as good as in all B-schools across India. The only lacking aspect of infrastructure can be attributed to less amount of forums dedicated to sports and other recreational activities.

Faculty: IIFT is well known for its pedagogy which comprises of highly qualified faculty members with industry experience. They, along with making candidates understand complex business models with relative ease, also share their rich industry experience which gives candidates a glimpse of applying the concepts in real life business scenarios. Apart from this, the candidates also get to know about the current trends in the industry through guest lectures and summits by imminent business professionals.

Other: As in any prominent B-school, IIFT also hosts various events like business summits, Ted Ex, cultural and sports events to maintain the balance between academics and extracurricular activities.

Infrastructure: The campus at Kolkata is very new, and the infrastructure is very good. It is a Wi-Fi enabled campus and is equipped with modern classrooms and a state-of-the-art auditorium. Absolutely satisfied with my experience at IIFT.

Placements: The placements at IIFT are quite good. The batch of 2016-18 recorded 100% placements with the highest international package of 1 crore per annum. The average salary package offered was 19.23 LPA. Every major brand in the domain of finance, marketing, operations, and trade visits the campus for placements.

Infrastructure: The classrooms are fully air-conditioned, and the classroom infrastructure is new. The campus is fully Wi-Fi enabled. The library is huge with all the books related to the course, and there are books related to other genres too. The hostel rooms are well-equipped with furniture, and there are single occupancy rooms.

Faculty: Each and every teacher at IIFT have completed their PhDs and have good experience in the industry and their domains. Every subject is taught from an international perspective. The course curriculum is rigorous, and it is mandatory for the students to maintain 80% attendance.

Great infrastructure and placements.

Placements: Due to a smaller batch size when compared to other top B-schools, IIFT always has a record of 100% placements in both summer internships and final placements. The placement report clearly states all the companies that visit our campus. Generally, high salary packages are offered for international roles in trade domain, and the highest CTC offered till now is 1.50 crores per annum. In the domestic level, the highest salary package offered is 29 LPA.

Infrastructure: With a batch of around 120 students and a brand new campus, infrastructure is never an issue at IIFT Kolkata. Although, there is a lack of sports facilities. However, the gym and indoor gaming facilities are excellent. The ambience in campus is peaceful and beautiful.

Faculty: Electives are decided based on students voting every year. There is an option to go for dual majors. A general misconception about IIFT is that it has a very tough course curriculum for PG degree in international business which is not true. The courses are very smoothly distributed across the 18 months.

Other: The culture at IIFT improved since last year. Advait 1.0 is the cultural fest organised at IIFT Kolkata. Many other inter and intra sports fests are conducted throughout the year.
