IIHM Kolkata BSc admissions start with an online/offline application process. Candidates have to pay an application fee of INR 600 to submit the applications. No, you cannot join IIHM Kolkata directly. Admissions to the International Institute of Hotel Management (IIHM) in Kolkata are entirely entrance-based. The institute offers various Diploma, UG, and PG courses, and the admissions are done through the IIHM eCHAT entrance exam, followed by Group Discussion and Personal Interview rounds. Direct admission is not possible, as candidates have to go through the e-Chat exam to get admission to IIHM Kolkata

IIHM Kolkata conducts eCHAT exam multiple times in a year. Hence, the aspirants can apply for admission when the registration for the exam opens. The next eCHAT exam is scheduled on Feb 15 and Mar 1. The BSc course aspirants can apply before or till the exam day. There is no other application deadline as of now. While filling out the application, all the details must be filled in carefully and as per the official documents. 

IIHM Kolkata BSc course in Hospitality and Travel Administration lasts three years. This course is ideal for students wanting to make a career in the field of hospitality and travel. The candidates passionate about improving visitor experiences or maximising visitor opportunities should enrol in the Bachelor of Science programme in Hospitality and Tourism Studies. IIHM Kolkata offers only a three-year course of BA. This course is offered across two specialisations. These are Hospitality Management and Hotel Management & Catering. The institute also offers BA in Tourism Studies. Admission to both courses is done through a valid score in the eCHAT entrance exam which is specifically conducted for IIHM campuses. 

Yes, IIHM Kolkata conducts eCHAT exam in an online mode. This is an objective type of test with multiple-choice answers. This is a common exam conducted for all the aspirants. All the aspirants must qualify for eCHAT to secure a seat to BSc course at IIHM Kolkata

The aspirants should first check out the eligibility criteria before proceeding with admission formalities. Students who have passed Class 12 or equivalent exam from a recognised board with English as one of the main subjects are eligible. In addition, the upper age limit is 22 years as of Jul 1, 2025. 

These students need to take eCHAT exam. Selection for the course is based on exam scores only. Shortlisted students also have to appear for interview round for final selection. Following final selection, documents can be submitted and the fee shall be paid for seat confirmation.
