IHM Kolkata is the best for hotel management, with good placement and good faculty.
Placements: Our college provided 95% placement of students. More than 50 retail and hotel companies come for campus placement in our institute. The highest package is 7 lakhs and the lowest is 2.5 lakhs. The top recruiting companies are Taj, OBEROI, JIO, MARRIOTT, HYATT, LALIT, BATA, and many more.
Infrastructure: Our college infrastructure is very good. All the classrooms have projectors and every bench desk has a charging socket. Hostels are the best compared to others. The food quality is great; you never feel like you are living in a hostel. Hostels provide many facilities such as a gym, sports, and more.
Faculty: The faculty members of my college are excellent. They support students in every situation and help in education. The teaching quality is superb. This course prepares students for jobs in the industry. If you are a little good in studies, then you will pass easily, but if you want good marks, then you need to study more.
Other: I chose this course because there are many job opportunities after it. According to me, nothing needs improvement.

It’s the best college if you're interested in the hospitality industry.
Placements: The placements percentage in IHM Kolkata is approximately 90-100%.The lowest package offered is 1.8 LPA and the highest package is around 8 LPA. There are many big companies visiting for placements in IHM Kolkata like Taj, Oberoi, Marriott, Hyatt, and others. Almost 80% students got internships at Taj, Hyaat, JW Marriot, etc. The students get offers for MT which is management training at IHM Kolkata which is the best thing about this college.
Infrastructure: There are many facilities available in IHM Kolkata. This college has different types of training kitchens for students. There is a Library for the students along with a training restaurant to practice cooking. If we talk about the hostel food and their facilities, the food at IHM Kolkata is really good and hygienic. For medical emergency, the hostel warden lives in the campus with the students to take care of everyone and teaches discipline to every student residing in the college hostel.
Faculty: The faculty members at IHM Kolkata are real life heroes. The way they teach the students I s really great. The college has very highly knowledgeable faculty members. The faculty members not only teach the students for the exams, but they also prepare the students for the industry and help them with facing real life problems. If I talk about the semester exams, they are really tough, it's good for the students who prepare for the management training interviews or want to get into big brands. The facilities prepare the students to handle the situations they are going to face in the interviews.
Other: I chose this course because I love to travel and explore. According to me this industry is best to cater my goals. I have a huge interest in hotel and hospitality industry. I think this course should include visits to the hotels which would be helpful for the students to gain experience from different places and hotels. The campus of this college is quite small, but no stone is left unturned in organizing college events. They make sure the students take part in the events which happen in the college along with other extra curricular activities.

More than satisfied with faculty and good placements in 2023&24.
Placements: My batch is 2022-25, we have our placement interviews from October 2024. But for the past 3-4 years I have been following the placement reports. The placement percentage has been above 95%. This year it is 96% and the previous year it was 98%. Any one can access the placement report from our colleges official website. There is option for various Hotel and Retail companies.
Infrastructure: Our college has 4 kitchen, 2 bakery, 2 restaurant, an auditorium, and I could go on. There's a air conditioned students dining hall and an air conditioned cafeteria as well. The food quality and quantity is good as we have it everyday for 5 days a week. We also have an on-premises doctors chamber for minor injuries and in case of any major issue the faculty members help in any way possible. There is a football ground and a badminton court.
Faculty: Maximum of the teaching staff are passout of IHM Kolkata. They are very helpful in every way possible. Our chefs are very talented. Not only our chefs but our faculty members are also very talented and very knowledgeable. The course makes the students ready for many industries like Hotels, hospital, cruise, retail and so on.
Other: I wanted to be a bakery chief so I joined IHM Kolkata.

They are Ph.D. holders. They have completed their MBA and M.Sc. The teaching quality is good. There is a significant difference between what is learned from books and what is observed in real-life scenarios. The course curriculum is designed to combine practical and theoretical classes to prepare students for the industry. Semester exams can be challenging if you don't study, but if you do, they can be relatively easy. The pass percentage is 90%.
Other: I opted for this course because it is a professional course and tourism is booming. The best thing about this course is guest interaction. The course curriculum should be improved. It is slightly on the higher side. Many events and fests are held in our college.

Discipline and placements go hand-in-hand here.
Placements: There are more than 350 students in my batch. The average package offered here is 6 LPA, and the highest is probably 10 LPA (I am not very sure as I am a first-year student as of 2024). About 50 companies come here to recruit people every year, including Taj, Oberoi, ITC, Park hotels, etc.
Infrastructure: The college has a well-equipped kitchen where students learn to make new dishes every class. Also, there are computer labs. There are two buildings in total, and there are separate hostels for male and female. The hostelites are provided with breakfast, lunch, evening snacks, and dinner every day. The non-hostelers are provided with only lunch every working day.
Faculty: Faculty is well enough. Most of the teachers were themselves students of the college years ago. So their love and affection towards the college and the students is very evident. The course provides IT (industrial training) for an entire semester of the second year (either 3rd or 4th), where students work in hotels and also have the opportunity to earn a small amount of money simultaneously while learning.
Other: The most famous event is gourmet night, which is celebrated in the month of January every year. One thing to keep in mind is their attendance percentage, which is 75%. Students are not allowed to sit for the exams, even if it is 74.9%.
