The Indian Institute of Information Technology, Bhopal (IIIT Bhopal) offers a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) programme for students interested in pursuing a career in engineering. The selection of candidates for admission into the B.Tech programme is based on their JEE Main scores followed by JoSAA/CSAB counselling. The Joint Entrance Examination JEE Main is a national-level engineering entrance exam conducted by the National Testing Agency NTA that serves as a gateway for admission to various engineering colleges in India, including IIIT Bhopal.

JEE Main exam dates for BTech programme for admission to IIIT Bhopal is scheduled on Jan 24, which is tentative. IIIT Bhopal conducts admission as per the eligiblity criteria based on merit and entrance. Candidate must secure a minimum of  75% in Class 12 with PCM and qualify JEE Main along with the JoSAA counselling. Courses such as MCA require a minimum aggregate of 60% in BSc/ BSc (Hons)/ BCA/ BIT conducted by a recognised University. Candidates must qualify NIMCET to seek admission in MCA. The candidates are selected through national-level examinations conducted by different authorities. Students who meet the minimum eligibility criteria and have a valid score on the JEE Main/MHT CET exam can apply to BTech cousrse. For MCA candidates must have valid eliigbility and qualify the NIMCET exam. 

IIITs are a well-known network of Engineering institutes in India. Students pursuing BTech from IIIT Bhopal get good placements support. In 2023, the highest and average package offered stood at INR 60 LPA and INR 21.94 LPA, respectively. Further, the placement rate recorded was 99.2%. NIT Manipur JEE Main cutoff 2024 has been released for admission to the BTech courses. During the Round 1 cutoff, the closing rank for CSE was 25886 for the General category students under the AII India Quota. Among OBC candidates, the closing rank for B.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering stood at 8750. Candidates preparing for IITs are only required to appear for the JEE Advanced entrance exam after qualifying JEE Main. Students who who secure above the 98th percentile in JEE Main 2024 Session 2 should start preparing for JEE Advanced 2025 immediately. Those who score between 95th and 98th percentile should focus on improving their JEE Main score by taking multiple mock tests and practicing previous year's question papers. By analysing their strengths and weaknesses, candidates can identify their areas of proficiency and topics where they need improvement. If they can achieve full marks in their practice sessions, they can start preparing for JEE Advanced. However, if they cannot score full marks, it is recommended that they appear for multiple mock test series for more practice. 

IIIT Allahabad accpets JEE Main score for admission to the BTech courses. As per the IIIT Allahabad cutoff 2023, the Last Round closing rank for BTech ranged between 5924 and 9558, among which Information Technology was the most competitive specialisation. The Round 1 closing rank for BTech ranged between 4817 and 8428 for BTech. 

So, considering the previous year Round 1 and the Last Round closing ranks, candidates seeking admission to IIIT Allahabad must secure a rank over and above 4800 and 9600 for the General ALL India category candidates.

The total course fee for BTech at IIIT Bhopal is around INR 7.2 lakh. Total fee is calculated based on annual/ semester fee available for the academic year 2023-24, hence is indicative.
