Good faculty and staff, decent placements, "85% attendance is mandatory."
Placements: The highest package and average package for B.Tech placements is 41.6 LPA and 15.88 LPA respectively. For CS Department, the highest package is 41.6 LPA and median stood 15 LPA. Placement percentage is 79.07%. For Mechanical Department, the highest package is 20 LPA and median stood 10 LPA. Placement percentage is 76.67%. For Civil Department, the highest package is 20 LPA and median stood 6.28 LPA. Placement percentage is 57.89%. For Electrical Department, the highest package is 36.72 LPA and median stood 15 LPA. Placement percentage is 63.89%.
Infrastructure: Pros: About classrooms and lecture halls, they are air-conditioned, have projectors, and sufficient space. About computer labs, it is free for everyone (except class timings), even at night. The computer labs have 32GB RAM and 11th Gen i7 Intel processors. High-speed Wi-Fi is available in the campus area and hostel rooms. About Mess, the food is good with many varieties. The food is more North Indian in taste and less spicy. If you don't like the mess food, there is a canteen where you can eat anything of your choice but you have to pay for it. There is also a bus facility to help students and professors reach the required destinations both inside the campus and in Palakkad city. The sports facilities are still growing and are actively participated in by many, you will enjoy them on the lush green campus. There are libraries in both campuses, and if you don't find a book in one library, you may get it in the other library. Cons: There are two campuses, Nila and Sahyadri, almost 2 km apart. Some classes are in the Nila campus and others in Sahyadri. You need to catch the bus, and sometimes the buses are full, so you either wait for the next bus or come by walking. Surviving in this college is hard as you need 85% attendance and will be flooded with assignments. Manage your time well.
Faculty: The faculty here are really helpful and friendly. Yes, about the teaching part, they teach well, but you will be flooded with assignments and homework. The course curriculum is not completely relevant; you need to learn some skills by yourself, especially soft skills. About assignments and semester exams, they are moderate to tough, so you need to study well.
Other: One thing is, being a new IIT, the clubs here are active so you can make sure you join them in the 1st year and explore and find your interest.

The best quality facilities, placements and faculty are available for the students at this college.
Placements: IIT's are holding a very good record for on-campus placements. Around 60–65% of the students get successfully placed in the IIT Palakkad Civil Engineering course. The average package offered at the college for computer science was between 3 and 8 LPA. Various government and corporate companies visit the college for placements. Students were getting multiple placement opportunities at this college.
Infrastructure: IIT Palakkad has very good infrastructure for the civil engineering course. The campus of the college is pretty big and beautiful. The campus of the college is lush with greenery. College management offers facilities such as labs, libraries, canteens, Wi-Fi, sports, etc. that are properly maintained. The quality of these facilities is also good. A hostel facility is also available for college students. The food in the mess and canteen is also good to eat. Various sports and other facilities were available for the students entertainment.
Faculty: Professors at IIT Palakkad are highly qualified and knowledgeable. All the professors have good experience in the teaching field. They are giving their best for the students. The course curriculum at our college is relevant and it makes the students industry-ready. Professors were also helpful and supportive of the students during placements. Exams were of a medium-difficult level in our course. Various workshops and industry visits are organized by the college professors for the students.

Decent college for a third generation IIT.
Placements: Due to recurrence, there's been a drop in placement rates. But last year, our seniors got almost a 100th place percentage. The average package was 15 LPA and the highest package is around 50 LPA. Internships are also average. 50 percent of the students got internship offers.
Infrastructure: The campus is still under construction. So we cannot expect a good campus Hostels are average. But food needs to be improved. Hostels have Wi-Fi and classrooms are also good. A library is also available. Institute clinic is also available. Infrastructure, of course, is good.
Faculty: The faculty is good but they are not very experienced. The first year is full of irrelevant courses, just like any engineering college. Teaching quality is good. Evaluation is done continuously, which is good. Semester exams are difficult at times but usually score well. Almost everyone can pass the semester.
Other: I am interested in data science, so I chose this college.

My views on Indian Institute of Technology, Palakkad.
Placements: Overall, under graduation, almost all students are placed. 90.28 percent of students get placed every year, and the majority of the students are from computer science and engineering. The highest package is 46.16 LPA, which is from a student in CSE. The lowest package is 6 LPA and the average package is 13.93 LPA. The top recruiting companies for my course are Google, Amazon, etc. Every student at the college gets an internship opportunity from different companies.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the campus is good there are some buildings that are a little bit old in which the infrastructure is not good and the new buildings, like academic buildings and new hostels, that are given to Ph.D. scholars and fourth-year students, are good. 24-hour Ethernet facilities are available in labs and classrooms. And the classrooms have good infrastructure. The hostels that are provided for first-year students are not good because they are old. There are all types of sports available and there are inter-hostel and inter-IIT competitions also available.
Faculty: The faculty who teach us are very experienced, very talented and friendly; they clarify doubts in offline as well as online and in the training and placement cell, they help us very much. The course in mechanical engineering is the best option for industry purposes, and the faculty also prepares us to be the best in every aspect. There will be mid- and end-semester exams for each semester, and the percentage is 30 percent. The exams are not too difficult; we can easily complete them.
Other: There are almost 5000 students on the whole campus from different states in India and there are also students from countries like Nepal, Myanmar, and Bangladesh. I chose this because this is the best option for my rank in JEE Advanced. There are annual fests and there are many clubs that are very useful for students in their development. The city is near the college, and there is a transport facility that is easily available.

IIT Palakkad includes a nursing home.
Placements: Last year, all students secured 100% placement, with the highest package reaching 50 LPA and an average of 18 LPA. Notable companies like Microsoft, TVS, Hero, Dell, HP, Wipro, and others actively participated in the recruitment process. However, details about internships and top roles remain unknown.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is accessible throughout the campus. The labs are well-maintained, and the classrooms in the newly constructed buildings are impressive. The library, spread across two blocks, primarily contains subject-related books, lacking in literature.
Faculty: The qualified teaching staff, holding Ph.D. degrees and mentored by experts from IIT Bombay, are knowledgeable and supportive. The pace of covering chapters can be somewhat brisk with a mix of both experienced and new teachers. Examinations include test 1, test 2, mid-terms, and end-sems, though writing them can be challenging.
