My Experience at IPEC Ghaziabad: A Comprehensive Review.
Placements: Batch and Course - Batch: 2020-2024 - Course: B. Teach in Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) Placement Statistics - Placement Percentage: 90% - The highest Package: 45LPA (Microsoft) - The lowest Package: 6LPA - Average Package: 12LPA Top Recruiters - Microsoft - Amazon - Google - Infosys - TCS Internship Statistics - Internship Percentage: 80% - Top Companies: Microsoft, Amazon, Google, Infosys, TCS Top Roles - Software Engineer - Data Scientist - Product Manager - IT Consultant.
Infrastructure: Department Facilities - Wi-Fi: Available throughout the campus - Labs: Well-equipped with modern equipment - Classrooms: Spacious, air-conditioned with projectors - Library: Well-stocked with books, journals, and online resources Hostel Facilities - Room Quality: Clean, spacious, and well-maintained - Food Quality: Decent with a variety of options - Canteen: Available with snacks and beverages Medical Facilities - Medical Room: Well-equipped with a doctor and nurse - Emergency Services: Tied with a nearby hospital Sports and Games - Playgrounds: Well-maintained for cricket, football, etc. - Gymnasium: Well-equipped with modern equipment - Indoor Games: Facilities for table tennis, badminton, etc.
Faculty: The teachers were helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. The teaching quality was excellent, with engaging lectures. The course curriculum is relevant and industry-oriented. Students are made industry-ready with practical exposure. Semester exams are moderately difficult, with a 70-80% pass percentage. Overall, the college provides a well-rounded education.
Other: I am from the 2024-2028 batch of B. Teach in Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) at IPEC Ghaziabad. I chose CSE due to my passion for coding, problem-solving, and innovation. The best things about my course are the practical exposure, industry-oriented curriculum, experienced faculty, and research opportunities. However, I wish there were more emphasis on soft skills development, industry collaborations, and sports infrastructure. Campus life is vibrant, with events like Techsurge, Cultural, and Sports Meet, as well as annual cultural and tech fests. The college offers merit-based and need-based scholarships, and there are various extracurricular activities.

This college is okay overall.
Placements: The placement is said to be good as the college is giving placement in Infosys or TCS-like companies. Not so good but yes, as your JEE percentile, you deserve this. This year, 60 students got into Infosys with 3.5 LPA. And everything is good overall. After some years, maybe more good and enjoyable. And the highest package is 24 LPA.
Infrastructure: Hostel life is good and enjoyable. The college is very strict in the first year, but if you maintain good studies, you can manage and have fun. Hostel life is very good, and rooms are well maintained. The warden is very friendly. The course is very strict, and they force you to go to college and call your parents if any bad activity happens.
Faculty: There are 4 exams in each semester: 2 sessionals, 1 PUT, and 1 University exam. Faculty are not consistent and not good as well. The curriculum is okay but very strict. Exams were too hectic. And very difficult to manage everything. Exams are conducted consistently, and you can grow as a student.
Other: According to the JEE percentile, the college is growing after corona. After some years, maybe good college placement as well.

My college is overall quite average, with subpar placements. The infrastructure is below average.
Placements: Companies do visit, but the quality of students is not good enough, and hence placements remain pretty average usually. However, I've seen companies visit the campus and offer good salaries. The 2022-23 batch was great, though, as they got record placements because of their skills.
Infrastructure: The college infrastructure is very average, to be honest. It's a small campus, and the classrooms are average. The computer labs are a shambles, but it doesn't matter much when you carry your own laptops. However, the Wi-Fi availability is bad; there is no Wi-Fi available, just lies. There are ACs for first-year students, though, and hopefully, all years will get them soon.
Faculty: My college faculty is a blend of exceptional and average professors. Some are highly knowledgeable and engaging, making complex topics easy to understand. However, a few are less inspiring, with limited teaching methods that don't fully capture students' interest.

Not very much satisfied by college.
Placements: When I was admitted, they promised the best placements, but when we graduated, no company came for related fields. The companies that did come were in sales, which is not for computer science students. In 2024, only startups or unrecognized companies came. We got the emails, but then there was no recruitment.
Infrastructure: The college facilities were good. The classes were average, but the outside of the college was not good because there are factories all around, which created very bad air quality. The Wi-Fi facility was only provided to the labs, and it wasn't that good. However, the sports arena was good, and it had a good environment for sports.
Faculty: The teachers and faculty are very helpful and qualified. They teach by relating classroom learning to real-world problems. They use projectors and laptops to enhance learning. They also conduct industry visits for students in related fields. Semester exams are conducted regularly, which enhances student preparation for university exams.
Other: I chose to study computer science with a focus on data science. It was a reputed course and in demand. However, when I was admitted, the college did not have the best faculty for data science, as it was a new course at the time. On the plus side, the college does offer scholarships for students whose parents are not in government jobs.

About my college in a glimpse.
Placements: I graduated in 2024, and in recent years, the placement rate of our college has been declining. The same happened this year as well. In my class, there are a total of 51 students, out of which around 20-25 were placed. In my friend circle, we are a total of 7 friends, and none of us got any offer. The highest offer in our class was, I guess, 5 LPA. A friend of mine from the CSE branch got a package of 9 LPA. The highest package that I heard of was 13 LPA, and the average package will be around 3.5 LPA. This year, there was no TCS and no Infosys.
Infrastructure: Labs were good with proper AC, chairs, and tables, but the drawback was the computers; 30% of the PCs were broken. The classrooms were big with proper lighting and ventilation. The library was also good, though I visited there only twice or thrice in my college life. There were no sports and games in our college. I never got injured in college, so I don't know about the medical facilities. The canteen was something that I really liked as it was big and beautiful. I was not a hostel student, so I didn't know about the hostels and mess.
Faculty: The teachers were helpful and friendly. Almost all were Ph.D. qualified and quite knowledgeable. If talking about their teaching quality, it was neither good nor bad, just decent. The course curriculum was also very decent; it can make students industry-ready only if they pay 100% focus and determination. Semester exams were moderate, and the pass percentage was 30%.
Other: It was not my first choice; I desired CSE, but as I took late admission, I opted for IT. The best thing about my course was that I learned about the tech world, the internet, cyber security, and more.

Dissatisfied because of many factors.
Placements: In data Science branch of batch 2023-24 only 11-20 students are placed. There are no companies coming for placements and those companies which are coming either are new startups or companies with no teach jobs. Last year the highest package was from AWS with 45 or 54 LPA that off campus. And the average package was 12-16 LPA. There is no thing like internships only the students can do is make projects and if someone wants to do one then it's there own cup of tea. If you preparing to opt for data Science you must be excellent in Statistics. There are many roles open for a data Science student in the market.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is average. It have basic amenities like some clean washrooms, some Air Conditioned labs with few working pcs and slow internet facility. In library and reading room the AC is only for show they never turn it on. Cafeteria is normal but the food doesn't taste good paced food items are preferred to eat. Mess in hostel are the most hygienic thing that you can have. There is a big sewage on both the entrance of the college. Medical Facilities are only for show they have a dedicated room for medical but it is empty always and have zero facilities no medicine, no first aids, not even a nurse. Annual Sports day is held every year called Spardha and a zonal competition.
Faculty: The curriculum is fine. 2 sessional of 45 marks each and one Pre University Test (PUT) of 100 and internal practical are held. It is all about theory there is no or less practical knowledge gained by the students. Students get detain in the sessional as well as in PUT if the student's doesn't fulfill the criteria. The passing marks is 30 (internal) + 30 (external) = 60. The students are needed to make themselves industry ready the college don't play much role in it. Talking about teachers there are some who are knowledgeable, helpful but there are most of the teachers who don't know how to teach and simply makes things difficult for students. Most the teachers are based to the students.
Other: I chose this college because it was near to my house and was recommended by some friends and family. Data Science course a booming course all over the as the rise of teach. There must be some industrial setup or something which can give exposure to the students about work culture and industry. So that they can be used to it and wide the knowledge for it. There is annual fest in April- May which is held for 2 days. Campus Crowd is not good. College is located in industrial area so sometimes harder to find auto aur rickshaw. The nearest Metro is Vaishali.
