IIIT Kottayam PhD Admission 2022
Indian Institute of Information Technology Kottayam offers PhD programmes in two disciplines, Electronics and Communication Engineering and Computer Science and Engineering to scholarship holders, sponsored and self-financing candidates, external registrants and candidates pursuing PhD through sponsored projects. Admission to the programme is based on marks secured by candidates in an entrance exam conducted by the institute during odd semester (August) and even semester (January) followed by a personal interview. Master’s degree in Computer Science Engineering/ Information Technology/Mathematics/ Statistics/ Computer Science/ Computer Applications/ Electronics and Communication Engineering / EEE with a minimum CGPA of or 60% aggregate OR Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering / Information Technology/ Electronics and Communication Engineering/ Electrical Engineering from any IIT’s, NIT’s, IIIT’s / other Institutions of National Importance with a minimum CGPA of 7 or 70% aggregate OR Students of IIIT Kottayam who are enrolled in BTech-MS course and have a CGPA of  8 at the end of sixth semester |

Note:Â Such students will be awarded both MS and PhD degrees on completion of the PhD programme without any exit option during the programme. BTech-MS students will receive the cumulative degrees after the completion of the PhD programme. Candidates who will be appearing for their final year examination may apply for PhD programme on a provisional basis.
