Ambassador Dr Deepak Vohra Interacts with Students

July 12, 2022: There is no substitute for knowledge. To take advantage of the chances to acquire a plethora of knowledge, all we need to do is keep our eyes and ears wide open. IBAians have encountered one such excellent opportunity on June 21, 2022, proving that you never know when the chance to learn comes knocking.

Senior diplomat and Special Advisor to the Prime Minister in Africa, Ambassador Dr Deepak Vohra, conducted a session.

Throughout the following two hours, Dr Vohra's captivating tales from his global experience kept the audience glued to their seats. The story of India's change from the 1970s to 2022 flew in elegantly enough to hold the audience's attention. The progression of India from a conquered people to an independent country was clearly explained. It was fascinating to learn how India used her diversity to her advantage whenever she was faced with a crisis, whether it was a natural disaster or a danger from outside forces, etc. Even the stories of India stepping in to help poor countries, be they large Russia or remote African nations, made my skin crawl. He recalled the mantra of long-held Indian belief: "All in oneness, oneness in all." Nobody could have provided the narratives in a more compelling way than someone who has personally witnessed India's development.

Dr. Deepak Vohra elaborated on the strength of a country (young population). He warned the youth about striking the correct balance between literacy and common sense, aggression and procrastination, and between the past, present, and future, and he did not hold back when doing so. The message is fairly severe and compelling at a time when the younger generation may be at a turning point.

In the end, he addressed the audience members' questions with ease.

His storytelling prowess, sense of humour, and general wealth of travel experience all captured the attention of the audience. At the conclusion, Dr. Vohra stood to thunderous cheers from the IBAinas.

IBA- Making a future of us.

But last year, around 80 percent of students got campus placements. The highest package was 22 lacs, and the average package was 8 lacs. An internship is compulsory for everyone.
