Good education and good jobs are provided.

Placements: Placement wise, it is good in departments like CSE, IT, ECE. The scenario of mechanical and electrical is okay. In 2017, a girl from 4th year, CSE department got a job of 44 Lacs. This year, companies like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Adobe has come for the placement, only eight core companies have come for the placements.

Dissatisfied because of faculty and course.

Placements: Placements are not good hardly 20-30% students were placed and this can be seen from last few years as companies are not coming up and offering good package placement head is also not working properly to get students placed they work in very causal manner.

Moderately satisfied with the faculty.

Placements: The placements are quite good. All the streams might not have ample opportunities, but overall, the placement programme is one of the best in West Bengal. In the previous years, there are a lot number of students with good jobs and many students with more than one job. Overall, the curriculum is good, and if the student has no issues with any of the college authority, then he or she is sure to grab a job.

Strict discipline with more or less good placements and faculty makes it one of the best in Kolkata.

Placements: The placements are mostly in IT companies with an average salary per annum. The core companies in electronics do visit but take only a handful. The placement department is strict, and if you work hard, there is a chance you might end up bagging a highly lucrative job. More or less 80 percent of the students were placed the previous year, and before that every year there was 100% of the placement.

Good placements with an average package 3-4 Lacs.

Placements: The placement is 100%. Many students got 2 or 3 job offers. The average package is 3.6 Lacs. But, there are people who are particularly good in the subject and fetch a maximum of 6 Lacs. But, they are very few. For an average student, IEM is a really good option for not to remain unemployed, but it is nowhere to be a dream college.

Dissatisfied by the disciplines and the strictness of the college.

Placements: As such placements are concerned, they are great. Almost every eligible candidates and students get an opportunity in the well-known companies over the past 3-4 years. The faculty members and the education provided is good and understandable. Even the workshops provided by the college are useful.

Placements have fallen in the past year.

Placements: Our senior batch had quite good placements. The companies like Amazon, Indigo, Wipro, Cognizant, etc. came to our college for recruitments. This year, the placements got a bit low, and there are no companies that can offer a good package. The job roles that mostly offered are Financial Analyst, airport ground staff, Operation specialist.

It is a standard college with decent placements.

Placements: The placements in the core sector are lesser compared to the IT sector. However, the quality is improving steadily, and lots of students have applied and got through to several companies in the core sector. The salaries vary based on the companies and can vary anywhere around 3-8 lacs per annum.

The infrastructure is not much good, but there are good placements.

Placements: Placement of our college is not quite good, but on an average, 80% of students are placed with an annual package of around 3.2 LPA. The companies like TCS, Cognizant etc. come here for placements. Some hardcore companies also come to our college. Most of the students get placed here, but they get a small package.

Three years of BCA at IEM, Kolkata.

Placements: The placements are very good. Probably, the placement is the only thing that is good for the course in this college. The people who sit for the placements usually get at least one job. The jobs are generally in IT sectors with an average package of Rs. 2.1 LPA or Rs. 2.2 LPA. Cognizant, TCS and Infosys are the highest recruiters.

Satisfied with placements, needs improvement in faculty sections and dissatisfied with the food.

Placements: The placements are well taken care of. Many from our batch got placed in reputed organisations like Delloite, Capgemini and even Godrej. The internships are good, but with no payment facilities. The packages offered to my friends for BBA were somewhat not worthy. The institution should take care of bringing MNCs. The highest package that was offered was around Rs. 25,000 per month. The lowest was only Rs. 8,000.

Good college with great industry exposure.

Placements: The placements record in computer science department is comparatively better in IEM as the maximum number of IT companies participated in the recruitment process. However, companies from different sectors also come for placements. Almost 95 percent students got placed from college placement process.

Overall, it is not that bad. It is better than normal private colleges.

Placements: No core branch placements. But CS and IT get placed in TCS, Cognizant and other IT companies. Even students of other branches can get a placement in the IT companies which visit the college, so do not come if you want a definite placement in any core company. If you want a job in IT companies, then you can join. You will definitely get placed.

Best private engineering college in West Bengal.

Placements: Our college is known for 100 percent placements and it was the same last year. The median package was around 3-3.5 lakh CTC which is at par with other colleges. Mostly, we have only IT companies coming for placements except a few. For electronics, there is only one core company called Sankalp which also hires only 1-2 students per batch. TCS, Wipro, CTS and Infosys are common mass recruiters.

It is a well-disciplined college. It is the best private college in West Bengal and it comes under MAKAUT ( formerly known as WBUT). It guarantees for your placement. In 2016 IEM has started its own examination for its few seats named as IEMJEE. The worst part is that it doesn't have a proper campus. There is no hostel in the college. The college has its own uniform. Every morning, we have a morning prayer. This college provides bus facilities but it is costlier as compared to the local bus serv...

The biggest asset of my college was its Faculty Members. A College worth joining to enhance knowledge. We get to learn something more than what the routine academic books facilitates. In terms of placement, its offers better salary package and more job opportunities than what most other colleges offers to BBA graduates. The Infrastructure may not be appealing but the notes and guidance of the faculty members are enriching. Most importantly IEM is a good brand in itself, therefore if knowledge is...

Pros.:- Good Faculty, good academic theoretical guidance. AC Class Rooms. Study environment is good, good location, lots of extracurricular activities, externals are not bad. Cons.:- Too much politics, sometimes using backdoor approaches, not so good placements, meritorious students not always credited.

This Institute has quality students which were the best part. I would not say that it has the best infrastructure. The quality of faculty and placement were average. It roped in students of superior ranks in competition exams, because of being one pioneer in Engineering education of West Bengal. It is still recognized as the best private Engineering Institute of the state.
