Institutie of engineering and management review

Placements: The percentage placed of students is quite good and about 80% to 90% students get placed in companies like TCS , cognizant, tech mahindra, wipro. The average placement package is around 7 to 8 lpa and highest is around 70lpa. And if someone just want to come here for placement then I highly recommend this college.

Please don't take admission .

Placements: Only mass recruitment company has come to this college. Companies like TCS, Capgemini, PWC, Infosys, Cognizant etc. The average package around 3-4 Lacs. All the college students feel very frustrated due to poor college management. They only imposed unnecessary discipline on the students without any reason .

Our college provides average placements and has a good competitive environment.

Placements: Oracle is the only product-based company that visits our campus. Rest all are service-based companies. A wide range of companies visits our campus offering a salary package of 6 LPA - 7 LPA. Almost all students are placed in our batch. The average salary package offered is 5 LPA. The lowest salary package offered is 3.6 LPA while the highest salary package offered is 16 LPA.

In short, if you have money then go to another college.

Placements: Placements are not that much high here, but if you are from the course B.Com (Hons) economics hons, Maths hons, etc., then you can expect good amount of salary. Also, my course would give you placement, but for that you need to develop some job oriented skills. The salary offered here by most of the companies ranges between INR 2 LPA- INR 10LPA.

I am not satisfied because of its faculty members, infrastructure, and facilities.

Placements: The placements record of IEM, Kolkata is average in terms of average package. The minimum salary package offered is 4 LPA. There is no student from our batch who get internships. There is no company visit our college for internships offer.

The highest salary package was generally given by Adobe is about 40 LPA, they usually pick 4-5 students mainly girls, every year from the CSE department. Our college is good for CSE, IT and ECE departments. TCS and Cognizant are mass recruiters of our college.

Review of IEM Kolkata - Institute of Engineering and Management.

Placements: The highest salary package offered is 45 LPA. The quality of students is the only thing, which makes IEM one of the best. Students get well placed due to their hard work, and the credit goes to the students only not the college.

They show 100% placements. But won't show you the range of packages offered.

Placements: Almost all students who opt for placements are placed. The highest salary offered was 40 LPA to four girls but it was off-campus. Many students are placed in tcs digital with packages of approximately 7 LPA. Average is around 3-4 Lacs. Top companies who recruit from the campus are NRI fintech, wipro, CTS etc. Many students get internship from our course but they get it through off campus.

Absolutely disappointed with the poor behavior of our faculty.

Placements: The college provides good placement opportunities. The college invites a lot of good companies for placement drives. All the eligible students should be allowed for placements, but sometimes teachers forbid some students from taking part in placements without any concrete reason. This makes the students develop a wrong impression about some teachers. This creates an unhealthy environment in the college because it hampers a teacher-student relationship. A college excels only with the cooperation ...

Don't take admission in this college.

Placements: The placements scenario in the college for core sector is not good. Some of the CSE and IT students got placed in IT industries with very low salary packages. If you want to be in the IT industry, then you can survive here. Otherwise, it is very tough to get placed through this institute.

Experience at IEM Kolkata from batch 2010-14

Placements: When the batch size was small the placements were genuinely 100%. A student used to have even two to three jobs. Majorly, mass recruiters visit the campus. So if you are looking for a variety in placements, you should look the other way. The average salary was 3 LPA. The highest was around 4.2 LPA, and the lowest was 2.8 LPA. The profile offered was of IT.

You have many other options, why join this college and ruin your future?

Placements: Although this college has NAAC grade A certificate, the placement is far below expectations. It depends mostly on mass recruiting companies like TCS, Cognizant, Infosys, etc. If these companies don't come for recruitment then more than 99 percent students (appearing for placement) will remain unemployed. They only show the highest package bagged by one or two students. Actually, those students who get placed with good packages aren't because of the college but because of their own efforts. The a...

If you take admission here, you are trapped.

Placements: To be very honest, placement heavily depends on TCS, Infosys, and Cognizant. Good companies either select 1-2 students or don't visit the college. Trust my words, if you are satisfied with a job of Rs. 2.5-3.5 lacs, only then come here. The director of the college boasts about being the best private college but I am studying here for the past 2 years and I know the reality.

Very poor infrastructure and too much boasting about a single year's sucess.

Placements: Placements were satisfactory in the previous year but not as expected or as told to us by the college. 60% students were placed in the previous year in various companies like Cognizant, Infosys, Sankalp Electronics, Wipro, L&T and many others. The highest salary offered was 4 lacs per annum and the lowest was 2 lacs per annum. Students were given pre-placement training from the college where various interesting aptitude lessons were taught by some professionals. Neither internships or any stipen...

If you want to be disrespected again and again, come here.

Placements: Regarding the placements, college always shows that the placement percentage is almost 100%. But they lack in the quality of placements. The companies are basically mass recruiters like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Cognizant, etc which offer a package of around Rs 3-4 lakh per annum. There are some good companies to which offers a placement of around Rs 6-8 lakh per annum but they recruit only a few students numbered around 10 at a maximum. The lowest placements are of around Rs 2.5 lakh per annum and h...

Institute of Engineering and Management school.

Placements: The placement record is quite high with almost 95% of the students sitting for the placements to get a job. The average salary package offered is 3.4-3.6 LPA. Other than that, there are few people who got around 6.2 LPA. Some went for higher studies and some exceptional students got called for 12-13 LPA. Internships are not so satisfactory enough. But the efforts that this college is putting into its students, are very much appreciable.

Placements: The placement records are good for every year. This year our college has managed a placement record of 78% so far. The highest package offered was 6 LPA and lowest 3.25 LPA. Mass recruiters like Infosys and Cognizant came along with NRI Fintech, Azooba, and PWC.

It is a waste of college life. There is no good faculty except some. Very poor infrastructure including labs. It provides placements to the students but at a very low salary package. College seems like school, rather a jail where you are abducted for 4 years. During the break, you are not allowed to leave with the bag. Instead of improving this college, the administration is building new colleges.
