I'm absolutely satisfied with the faculty, infrastructure, and facilities available.

Placements: The placement option for GIS students is limited compared to other courses. But we do have an opportunity to meet and interact with some great people during our final semester. This allows us to choose which company or platform we are best suited for. And also depend on how we represent ourselves in front of them.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the institute is one of the best. The Library is available and open to everyone. So many books by great authors and the latest magazines and research journals are available to study. The classroom is equipped with a projector. The best part is the labs. The best place to learn and do practical work.

Faculty: All the faculty members are very helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. Their teaching method is very easy and very interesting. The course curriculum is up-to-date, very relevant, and makes the study ready for industry. Assignments are given after every practical.

Really a good Institute for M.Sc. Geoinformatics.

Placements: All the students from my batch got Internship in GIS based companies with very good Stipend ranging from INR 10,000 to INR 18,000. Students are working in NGO's, Small organizations and Top companies as well. GIS Analyst, GIS Engineer, GIS Trainee, Photogrammetry Data Processor, UAV operator, etc. are the roles offered.

Infrastructure: Geoinformatics at BVIEER is worth for your money. The Institute has well equipp updated GIS computer lab, UAV for Demonstration on field, Classrooms give an amazing platform to experience real-time learnings with Video Conferencing lab and Guest lecturers.

Faculty: Teachers are well educated with knowledge of current demands for GIS in world. Very Cooperative and students are very friendly to them whenever the students are required guidance. Geoinformatics course in designed in such way that any graduate from non technical background can also Survive and learn from basics to advance with his/her will power. Here I mention that students are required to give their best in learning and adapting new learnings. Semesters exams are not much complicated but, student has to revise the learnings everyday so that it makes easy to qualify the exam.

Other: Since, I was attending my UG programme in Agriculture, I found a curiosity in GIS and GPS location services. I searched for more information on internet. I was exited to study Geoinformatics and apply that knowledge in Agriculture field.

Two years in BVIEER was fun roller-coaster ride.

Placements: Almost 90-95% of students from my course were placed right after passing out from BVIEER. The highest package-4.2 Lacs, the average package- 3 lacs, and the lowest-2.4 Lacs annually. Top recruiting companies are NEPRA, Forest departments, BNHS, WTI, WWF, Corbett Foundation, and CEE. 70-80% of students got internships in various organisations such as CEE, Forest Departments, Swach, etc. Project Manager, CSR manager, and Field Scientist are some of the roles offered in the course.

Infrastructure: BVIEER has a well-equipped computer lab with high-speed Wi-Fi and licensed software. The library has more than 5000 books in it. Classrooms are big with good ventilation and light and equipped with projectors. The quality of food in the hostel is awesome and the campus has on-campus medical facilities, a playground, and a gym.

Faculty: Teachers were helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. The teaching quality is good. The course curriculum is relevant and up-to-date. It provides activity-based, practical learning which makes students industry-ready. The semester exams in college are intermediate to pass. The pass percentage of college is 90-95%.

Other: BVIEER ACT is a nodal agency to many governments as well as private CSR projects which gives students the opportunity to intern/volunteer for these projects.

Absolutely satisfied with the college, as it has really good faculty and curriculum.

Placements: Internships are provided during the course for us to get hands-on experience. They assist in getting placed in good companies. Almost 90% of students get placed. The starting package is 1 LPA. The course is multidisciplinary, therefore, there are various roles and options in this sector.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure is very attractive, which makes it a lot easier and fun to learn. The library has many relevant materials needed for the course. The institute has a museum, library, and nature trail, while we learn through experiential learning. The hostel provides good quality food.

Faculty: The faculty are brilliant, and the teaching methodology is unique, which helps us not just gain knowledge but build our competencies and skills to work in this sector. The guest faculty that came to the institute our from various organizations and are well-experienced, which helps us in networking. The curriculum is well designed, and it involves all the aspects of the environment and has a holistic approach.

Other: The course is brilliantly designed, and the syllabus, field visits, internships and also extracurricular events, workshops held in the college makes it a complete package. The institute also organizes a summer school exchange program with University of Cologne, Germany, which helps in learning from an international perspective. The plus point is that the institute undertakes many projects that we as students can volunteer for during the course, which helps us individuals grow and build skills in this sector.

Other: College infrastructure is good and campus is awesome. Assignments and projects that are given to students are up to the mark placement is below average. Faculty is not helpful and supportive. Tuition fees are high. Companies are not invited to the College for placements. Computer languages are not at all taught properly here. It lacks good teaching faculty.
