May 11, 2021: From April 26 to May 7, 2021, IIHMR Bangalore, in partnership with IIHMR University, Jaipur, successfully conducted a 10-day Elective Course on Public Health Nutrition (three credit points). Dr Usha Manjunath, Director, IIHMR Bangalore, initiated the programme with a welcoming message. About 200 people attended the course, including physicians, public health experts, MPH teachers, AYUSH practitioners, academicians, program administrators, health care students, and science scholars from the nutrition and non-nutrition fields. Dr SD Gupta, Chairman, IIHMR University, briefed participants on the final day of the programme, reflecting on emerging topics such as the Triple Burden of Malnutrition and the reach of Public Health Nutrition in India. The 10-day programme was successfully completed with a vote of thanks from the Director of IIHMR Bangalore.

IIHMR To Conduct Three-Day Online Interactive Session on ‘Managing and Sustaining Home Healthcare Business’

April 25, 2021: Demand for Home Healthcare services has increased as a result of the sudden increase in Covid cases across the world. To guarantee that in-patient treatment is available for more urgent needs, hospitals are willing to collaborate with home care providers or start their own programmes. In response to the situation, Institute of Health Management Research (IIHMR), one of Bangalore's most prestigious management institutes, is hosting a three-day online immersive management learning programme on "Managing and Sustaining the Home Healthcare Sector" from March 3 to 5.

IIHMR Bangalore Announces the Launch of ‘Certificate Course in Nutrition and Health’

April 23, 2021: On January 7, 2021, the Institute of Health Management Research (IIHMR) in Bangalore, in collaboration with the University of Mysore's Department of Studies in Food Science and Nutrition, launched the "Certificate Course in Nutrition and Health."

The event was graced by the presence of Prof G Hemanth Kumar, Vice-Chancellor, University of Mysore, Prof R Shivappa, Registrar, University of Mysore, Chief Guest Dr SD Gupta, Trustee Secretary, IIHMR Society, Guest of Honour Prof G Venkatesh Kumar, Dean Faculty of Science and Technology, University of Mysore, Course Co-Ordinator’s: Dr Asna Urooj, Professor & Chairperson, Department of Studies in Food Science and Nutrition, University of Mysore and  Dr Usha Manjunath, Director & Professor, Institute of Health Management Research Bangalore (IIHMR-B).

The course was formally inaugurated by Prof G Hemanth Kumar, Vice-Chancellor of the University of Mysore. He emphasised that the current education programme also opened doors for career-oriented courses that assist practitioners in developing their skills. He contrasted how colleges have improved in terms of quality and course execution over the last 50 years. In the current situation in India, he also stressed the importance of developing technical capacity in nutrition and health. He praised the efforts of the Department of Food and Nutrition Studies and IIHMR Bangalore.

This certification programme will guide nutrition study and practice in the country. Personnel in both the private and public sectors need preparation and capability building in the more recent research-based techniques, as well as the development of expertise to lead transformation. This is a blended platform (interactive online and face-to-face classes) for chosen healthcare practitioners. Participation in this course will enable experts in the field to expand their understanding of Public Health Nutrition and provide improved care to the community. They will learn from daily reports on new legislation, rationales for reforms, and tips on how to integrate those improvements into their day-to-day program delivery and practice.

IIHMR Bangalore Celebrates World Health Day Drawing Aspects of Health on April 7

April 8, 2021: On World Health Day, the Bangalore-based Institute of Health Management Research (IIHMR) took the opportunity to highlight the importance of health. The students' practices reflected the theme of World Health Day 2021, "Building a fairer, better world for all." Students successfully demonstrated their talent and imagination through poster presentations, short films, and blog posts centered on the subjects of Universal Health Coverage, Health Inequity, Better Health and Well-Being, Climate Change and Human Health, and Access to Quality Health Services. During her interaction with the students, Dr Usha Manjunath, Director, IIHMR Bangalore, emphasised the value of tackling health problems and raising awareness about the importance of staying safe. She also discussed the importance of commemorating World Health Day, the negative impact of the Covid pandemic on meeting the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), the position of health administrators in fostering a fairer and healthier environment, and identifying the root causes of health inequities by evidence and data-driven policymaking.

IIHMR University Inaugurates the New Seminar Hall

March 26, 2021: IIHMR University is an institution dedicated to the improvement in standards of health through improved coordination of health services and associated initiatives. With an aim to continue walking the same path of imparting quality education, the University recently inaugurated a new seminar hall that has a capacity to accommodate 150 students at one time. The seminar hall is well-equipped with the most recent audio-visual system, Internet access, video conferencing capabilities, and professionally furnished IT equipment.

IIHMR Group and HxCentral Collaborates to Prepare Talent for the Future of Digital Healthcare

March 24, 2021: The IIHMR University's south campus in Bangalore recently renewed an agreement with HxCentral Pte. Ltd to bridge the industry-academia gap and improve the sharing and coordination of best practices in digital health management and capability growth.

HxCentral is a cloud-based Healthcare Experience solution that has been deployed in over 120 hospitals across India, South Asia, and the Middle East, assisting hospitals in radically transforming their operations by ensuring patient protection, increasing performance, and winning patient satisfaction while enriching the patient experience.

The MoU states that the IIHMR's Centre for Learning and Development and Hx Central will work together to upskill healthcare practitioners in all areas of digital medicine and improve patient quality of care. Placements and faculty in our college are good.

Placements: The placement percentage of our senior batch was 100%. The average package offered is 4.5 LPA, and the highest package offered is 8.5 LPA. Companies like Accenture, Cerner, Manipal, Deloitte, etc., visit our campus to offer placements. Students are offered the roles like network administrators, project coordinators, quality managers, and assistant operational managers.

This is a good college to pursue hospital and health management in Bengaluru.

Placements: Placements in our college are good for our batch and seniors batch. Almost 100% of the students got placed in the college placements. The highest package offered for our batch was 6.20 LPA, and the lowest was 4.50 LPA. MNCs like ICT Health, Dell, Deloitte, Allscripts, Teleradiology Solutions, hospitals like NH, Apollo, Sakra, Asian Heart, and a few other firms like MEMS (Maharashtra Emergency Medical Service), Saphire, Practo, Infinite Research, and Cadabams visit the college to hire students.

Placements: Placement 100%. Placement guaranteed. All placements are in very good organizations. Alumni works as CEO, COO, Senior Manager, Public Health executive, Health supervisor etc. Some companies have startups also at very good scale. Minimum placement is 4lac.

It is a good college because of its teachers, infrastructure, facilities, and placements.

Placements: Placements were good. Around 95% of students were placed in different cities of the states like Maharashtra, Karnataka, and Andra Pradesh. The highest salary package offered was 6.5 LPA. All the students were placed in internships from this college. They were not paying any stipend as students had an internship after completion of 1st year.

We have friendly faculty members and they will guide you in the best way.

Placements: Almost 60% of the students get placed in our senior batch. The highest salary package offered was 8 LPA, and the lowest salary package offered was 4.5 LPA. The organisations which visited our college were Cerner, LV Prasad Eye Hospital, and Narayana Health. Stipend depends on the organisations chosen for internships. There is a useful placement cell.

Yes as per the latest guidlines of UGC if a student withdraws from the program before a specified date, they may be eligible for a 90% refund (10% for deducting administrative charge). IIHMR Bangalore is usually considered a Tier 2 institution. But it does not mean that it is anyway less in its reputation. It is well-respected within its niche of healthcare management although lacks to have the broad recognition or placement power of Tier 1 institutions like IIMs.

The ATMA cutoff for IIHMR Bangalore in 2024 is typically around 60-70 percentile (do see it is not percentage but percentile). Thus, specific cutoffs can vary slightly each year based on the applicant pool, so it's recommended to check the official IIHMR Bangalore website or contact their admissions
