Overall, it's a good college for hotel management.

Placements: My college provides placement, but I am still in the second year, and the placement interviews start in the third year. Gathering information through seniors, I got to know that hotels like Trident, Taj Hotel, Oberoi Hotel, Hilton Hotel, and many other well-known hotels, as well as airlines and joints like Subways, McDonald's, and Starbucks, come for interviews at IHM Mumbai.

Review of Institute of Hotel Management, Catering Technology and Applied Nutrition, Mumbai.

Placements: They conduct placements from the 5th semester. Many major hotel chains visit the campus and offer the positions of management trainees and executives. But not many students got placed in those. Most of the students got placed in either travel companies or quick-service restaurants or did not get placed at all.

This is a highly recognised institution with a need to update the curriculum and teaching methods.

Placements: There is a placement cell in the college which coordinates post-course jobs, management training programs, and in-course industrial training which connects the students to corporates and hotel companies for prospects. The stipend offered during the industrial training is less than satisfactory, and it is ranging from Rs. 1,000 to Rs. 1,500 per month. Post-course placements are for operational trainee or management trainee programs, with some companies obliging students to a 3-5 year contract. Th...
