Q:   How successful is the placement cell in securing jobs for BCA students at Institute of Management Education?

    A:
    {Source: BCA students & alumni}

Success of Placement Cell in Securing Jobs for BCA Students

Based on the reviews provided, here's an overview of the success of the placement cell in securing jobs for BCA students:

    * Companies visited: The placement cell invites various companies such as Bank of America, Genpact, Wipro, and Kotak Mahindra Bank for campus placements.
    * Job opportunities: Although no specific numbers are mentioned, it seems that the placement cell tries to secure job opportunities for its students.
    * Internship opportunities: In addition to placements, the cell provides internship opportunities and industrial exposure, which can benefit students in gaining practical experience.

However, since there isn't much information provided regarding the success rate of the placement cell, we cannot accurately gauge its effectiveness. More data or feedback from students who have undergone placements could shed more light on this aspect.

It's essential to note that while the placement cell's efforts seem commendable, the overall quality of education, facilities, and faculty play crucial roles in shaping the employability of graduates. A balanced approach, combining academic rigor with extracurricular activities and career guidance, is vital for students' future prospects.

The worst decision of mine is to take admission in this college!
Placements: Placements are not so decent. For Marketing, the placement rate is 35 percent. For other specializations, the placement rate fluctuates between 40-50 percent. Well-reputed companies like Nestlé, etc., come on campus. No one from my batch got an internship, and one of my acquaintances got a 3 LPA package.
Infrastructure: The college campus is small. Classrooms are good. A water purifier isn't installed on every floor; only one water station is there where there is a rush all the time. The canteen is good, but it becomes too crowded during lunch break, and finding an empty chair is hard during this time. Hygiene is maintained on campus. There isn't much greenery on campus.
Faculty: I am doing BCA from IME College in Informatics Practices specialization. It's affiliated with CCS University but is an autonomous institute. The curriculum is updated for the latest industry requirements. The faculty conducts exams every month, but the students' results are not good.
Other: I would not prefer any of my acquaintances and loved ones to visit there for admission.

No fest, no social life, no placement. If no lectures then go home.
Placements: Well, to be honest, our college doesn't give any placement opportunities and there are no companies which come for recruitment from our course. There are no internship opportunities, you have to find them on your own just like many of my batchmates did.
Infrastructure: Our college's infrastructure is not that bad. There is a library from which we can issue books and a proper Wi-Fi-enabled computer lab with more than 150 computers. There's a cafeteria as well which offers a wide variety of products. There's no hostel facility available.
Faculty: I'm a final-year student and all I can say is the old faculty was not enough qualified to be called a professor, they were not friendly enough to have a healthy conversation. But the new faculty is really helpful, knowledgeable and holds industry-level experience.
Other: I chose BCA as this course comes with a lot of opportunities in IT felid. The course curriculum is of ancient times and there isn't any specialisation. However, Java and core software engineering subjects are good and give you a chance to compete in today's tech world. What could be improved is new specialisation courses and batches and they also provide internship and placement opportunities. Also, they don't organize any fest, student selection or any particular events except annual functions and sports events. Yes, there's a scholarship programme named the Radhika scholarship which is truly beneficial for the students who have scored more than 75% and that is the best thing about our college.

Best college in terms of affordability.
Placements: For placements, you have to go outside the college. The placements are not good here; only 10-20% of students get placements, and their average package is only 1.5 LPA. So, you have to study very attentively to get placements from the college. Otherwise, you have to go through off-campus placements.
Infrastructure: The building is normal, not too much hi-fi. Classrooms are decent, and the lab is good. The libraries are quite big; they have almost all types of books and provide a quiet place to study. There is a small playground as well where you can play volleyball, tennis, and there is a basketball court too.
Faculty: Faculty members are very good and supportive. All are highly qualified for their roles and are supportive to every student. The teachers are also experienced according to their job profile. There are also tests happening between semesters for preparation of the course.
Other: There are lots of curriculum activities happening almost every months And also events are also held.

I am not satisfied with this college.
Placements: Around 1-2% of students got placed in our college. The highest salary package offered was 6.5 LPA. The lowest salary package offered was 3.5 LPA. Few top recruiting companies visit our college for recruitment. Around 4-5 students got placed in this course.
Infrastructure: Our campus is Wi-Fi enabled. Laboratories are decent. Classrooms are well-maintained. There is a decent library in this college. Canteen is not available. The food quality is average. Medical facilities are not available.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful. The course curriculum is relevant, but it does not make students ready for the industry. Semester exams are very good.
Other: I chose this course because of my interest in software industries.

IME college is the best college because it is affordable and it comes at 18th rank.
Placements: Above 60% of students can take admission to BCA. The average salary package offered is 1 LPA. HCL, Symbiosis, and Google are the top recruiting companies. About 80-95% of students got internships. Students who study in this college behave well, have helping nature, have good communication skills, and are well mannered. They dress up every day with proper uniforms.
Infrastructure: In our college, there is one big library with a huge collection of new edition books and publishers. The classrooms are big. Quality of food is very good in the canteen. Medical facilities are also available,. Indoor and outdoor games are available. Sports meet functions are also held. Parking facilities are also available. Wi-Fi is available in IME college.
Faculty: Teachers in our college are very helpful and provide notes to every student to get good marks in our exams. Semester exams are held nearby college as ITS engineering college or the modern college at Mohan Nagar. Our teaching staff nature is very good polite and helps every student separately with good human nature and with a low pitch that helps students to feel comfortable. Teachers with high skills are working here.
Other: BCA is a professional course. As we know professional courses are valuable in markets. In this course, we learn about the C language in detail. There are 2-3 campuses nearby. They are very famous in their perspectives.

Our college is good, but the crowd is bad. The teachers and the infrastructure are good.
Placements: The placements in our college are pretty good. Many companies, like Axis Bank, come to our college and give us placement opportunities. Getting a placement is not that hard. It totally depends on you. Around 60%-70% of the students get placement, which is a good number.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is good. There are grounds and greenery, a nice and chill place to study. There is a library which is available for students according to the time allotted to them. The labs were good. The number of computers and labs was higher than expected.
Faculty: The faculty in our college look forward to providing good education and information to the children, and they also help them to increase their knowledge. The teachers help the students a lot in their studies. The difficulty of the exam ranges from easy to moderate, depending on your studies.
Other: There are many extra-curricular activities provided by our college, and they keep the students engaged in their studies. Along with this, students get scholarships. I would only suggest that the faculty should take care of the crowd, or else the college is good.

    Admission FAQs

Q:   Is BCA at Institute of Management Education a good choice?

    A:
    {Source: BCA students & alumni}

Is BCA at Institute of Management Education (IME) a Good Choice?

Based on the reviews and feedback from current and former students, here's what stands out:

Infrastructure: The college has a decent infrastructure, with a library, computer labs, and a canteen. While some students appreciate the cleanliness and maintenance, others mention that the facilities are limited and outdated.

Teaching and Curriculum: Most students agree that the faculty is helpful and knowledgeable, with some even mentioning that they're industry-experienced. However, the course curriculum is seen as outdated, and students may face difficulties preparing for industry standards.

Placement and Internship Opportunities: Unfortunately, the college does not offer on-campus placements or internships. Students may need to rely on off-campus opportunities, which can be challenging.

Campus Life: While the college has some recreational spaces, such as a playground and gardens, students often complain about the lack of extracurricular activities and events.

Scholarships: IME College offers a scholarship programme for meritorious students who achieve 75% or higher grades.

Overall: Based on these factors, it seems that while IME College has its strengths, particularly in terms of faculty support, the limitations in infrastructure and placement opportunities might impact the student experience. Prospective students should carefully consider these factors before making an informed decision.

Recommendation: We recommend that students weigh the pros and cons before choosing IME College for their BCA studies. They should also research potential off-campus placement and internship options to prepare themselves for the real-world challenges ahead.
