Satisfied with faculty but not with placement.

Placements: As per I know, almost 85% of students were placed in our course every year with no issue, but the others were not satisfied with their placement package, so they don't want to continue with the provided placement. In our course, the highest starting package was 10.2 Lacs per annum offered by Amazon. A minimum I have heard about was 2.3 Lacs per annum, which is very low. But the average salary of our course could be around 4.2 Lacs per annum.

A quick review of IMS Kolkata.

Placements: The placement of this college is better than that of the other colleges. They provide us with a good range of placements. Approximately 60–70% of students were placed on campus. Packages are around 2–3 LPA. Some of the of the top recruiters are Wipro, Tech Mahindra, and Quick.com. Also, they provide some internship facilities.

The faculty members were very supportive but some were very rude.

Placements: I took a Bachelor of Computer Applications (BCA) here. I am from the batch of 2023–2026. 60%–70% students were getting placed in many good companies like TCS, WIPRO, IBM, CAPGEMINI, etc. The average package offered in the BCA course was 4 LPA. In the BCA course, students were getting placed with the good packages (4-5 LPA). 70%–80% of students get internships. Top roles were offered like web development, systems analysis, etc.

Good but needs some urgent changes.

Placements: Our course is a combination of critical care unit and medical instruments unit. They teach us both. Students have the option to apply for jobs in both of these fields. The placement percentage is almost one hundred per cent. But some students get internships in private hospital like apollo, PG, etc.

Need serious improvements otherwise average.

Placements: Zero placement facility. The companies usually just come and placements are arranged but no student is taken in maximum case. They provide various programs to improve our placements but it is worthless because they do not maintain proper routine. It can be improved then I will give 5 stars.

A review of Institute of Management Studies.

Placements: Placements in college are good compared to most of the other colleges. Placements this year were excellent. The recruiters in this year were TCS, Amazon, Samsung R&D, etc. If we talk about the previous year placements, they were also very good. So, placements are average sometimes and excellent the other times.

It was good due to faculty and course.

Placements: The placements were fine and fair for the postgraduate students as they were getting placed in good companies with good packages. Many companies came for the recruitment, but the undergraduate scenario was opposite as few companies came that to very low package and only 3-4 students got placed.

The average salary offered was around three lacs per annum. The students were offered associate level jobs. More than 70% of the students got an internship from college. There is a placement cell in our college, and it is efficient.

My experience with this college has been great and it has all the facilities that a student requires

Placements: The college has a vibrant placement cell which helps the BBA, BCA, MBA and other field students in every possible way to get their dream job. Some of the top management recruiters are HDFC Bank, IndusInd Bank, AXIS Bank, etc. Some of the top IT recruiters are - TCS, Wipro, Cognizant, Tech Mahindra. I myself got placed in Quickr.com, which is a branded company and has a big name in the market.
