MD in Psychiatry - Batch of 2021
3.2

I never suggest this college, and no one values your time here.
Placements: After MD in psychiatry, you are at a very high level already, and it doesn't have anything to do with this institution. You can get a pretty good job in very renowned hospitals in India. The average salary package offered is around 10 LPA-11 LPA. If you have worked well, then you can get better salary packages, and your salary increases with time.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure and hostel here are good and green. The campus is less of campus and more of a forest which is a great thing. The classrooms are very old, but still in good condition. There is no canteen on the campus, and there is only a mess. There is only a badminton court inside the hostel in the name of sports. The mess cook makes good food, but he is not working now. He had a fight with some fellow students, and they stopped the mess service for them. From that time, we all are dependent on a maid who makes pathetic food, but we have no other option.
Faculty: There was only one teacher who actually taught us, and others never conducted classes. We had to discuss and study it all on our own. That one teacher has also resigned from the institute in our first year. There is absolutely no benefit of complaining or any applications or anything. The authorities don't take responsibility for anything. Our course and exams were supposed to be held in October 2021, but now January is near the end. There is still no date for the exams. Otherwise, we would be free until now.
Other: I suggest you do not take admission here, and your time will be wasted. You will be frustrated. Even the stipend you will get here is only Rs. 2,500. Even a maid earns more than that for cooking the food of one person. Please try your luck in NIMHANS, and they offer Rs. 25,000 per month.

MD in Psychiatry - Batch of 2020

Our college has the worst faculty members and a system.
Placements: Only 10 students are selected in our course out of 174 aspirants. The highest salary package offered to students is 13 LPA, and it increases with time. I am employed in a private hospital and approached it myself, so I do not have much idea of the companies. It all depends on the students. Companies don't come by themselves, and students have to reach out to them.
Infrastructure: Facilities like a hostel, mess, Wi-Fi, labs, and everything is so bad here. Anyone does not care about anything, and the authority does not take any responsibility. Our mess cook had a dispute with my mates, and they hired a maid, and she makes pathetic food. There is no Wi-Fi in the hostel. Classrooms are just average here. The library is good, but it could be better. There is only a badminton court inside the hostel.
Faculty: Not even a single teacher taught us, and we had to do it all by ourselves. We talked to the dean, but he did not help us out. Teachers did not even come to the class for months. We only had one good teacher, and he left the institute in our first year. The course curriculum is relevant enough if they teach it to the students. Semester exams are not difficult if you study evenly throughout the year.
