NEET PG 2026 will be conducted on August 30 by NBE. The exam will be conducted as computer based test. To appear for the test, apply online. National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) will soon release the NEET PG 2026 application form. NBE will announce the NEET PG registration date 2026 online at, natboard.edu.in. Candidates have to apply for NEET PG 2026 within the prescribed date. Q: What is application fee for NEET PG 2026?

Application fee and other details is released by NBE. The fee remains the same as it was last year. In 2024, the application fee was reduced by INR 750 for each category. With reduced fee, candidates had to pay INR 3500 for general category while for SC/ST candidates had to pay INR 2500. Earlier candidates had to pay INR 4200 application fee for general category. It must be noted that paying exam fee is mandatory to submit NEET PG 2026 application form.

The National Examination Board in Medical Science will soon release the NEET PG 2026 information bulletin on its website. The exam will be conducted on August 30, 2026.

NBE conducting body has not specified any limit regarding number of attempts in NEET PG exam. At same time, there is no age limit for exam. Candidates can appear as many times as they want in their prusuit of postgraduate medical courses. Q: Which subject in NEET PG syllabus contains maximum and minimum weightage?

NBE doesn't release the weightage for NEET PG exam. However, from last few years record, it can be said that maximum weightage is given to clinical subjects. A good number of questions are asked from general medicine, general surgury and paediatrics. Lesser number of questions are asked from anatomy, physiology etc. Candidates must note weightage for NEET PG syllabus may vary. This is why, candidates are advised not to depend upon weightage and prepare all subjects of clinical, pre and para clinical well so that there is less scope of negative marking.

Q: Does NBE release analysis for NEET PG exam?

No. NBE doesn't release analysis for NEET PG. Several coaching institutes and other experts release NEET PG analysis based on memory-based questions asked from exam-taking candidates. The exam analysis helps candidates to know the tentative score in the exam. Aspirants look for exam analysis to get an idea about weightage from each subjects.

Yes. Mark is deducted for each wrong answer in NEET PG. For each right answer, candidates get 4 marks and for each wrong answer, 1 mark is deducted. The NBEMS will release the result within a fortnight from the exam. So, we can expected that the NEET PG result will be released tentatively by September 15, 2026. The duration of NEET PG counselling depends on number of vacant seats after each round. Usually, the counselling process goes on for over two months time. Each round of NEET PG counselling takes around 15-20 days time starting from registration to reporting. Initial rounds takes a bit more time than last rounds. Around 2 Lakh candidates appear for NEET PG every year. The number varies every year. Around 2.40 lakh candidates had appeared in NEET PG 2025 exam.
