Review of mechanical engineering at Nirma University.

Placements: In mechanical engineering last year, 110 students applied for placement, in which there was 92% placement ratio. The average salary offered was 7.5 LPA and the highest package offered in mechanical was 14 LPA. The lowest package offered was 6 LPA. Top recruiting companies for mechanical are: Bosch, Tata Motors, Adani, Reliance, Torrent, Power, Tata Power, Mahindra, Amazon, Google, TCS, etc. The roles offered in our college are in IT companies; mostly the roles are managerial roles to lead the te...

Dissatisfied in terms of course, faculty members and infrastructure. Placement was also average.

Placements: Till date, 30 percentage of students have been placed. The highest package is 29 LPA and the lowest is 5 LPA. Average package is around 6-9 lakh per annum. Top recruiting company is Synopsys which has taken around 9 students from ECE branch. All the major companies are I+J companies.

The placements in our college are moderate, but I didn't get placed due to covid.

Placements: The roles offered are like internship, project intern, project management and many others. We have seminars, mini project-1, mini project-2, minor project, and a major project to do in our college. Our college has a very good reputation as the roles offered in our university are good.

It is a good campus with good study and bad placements.

Placements: From the 2018 batch of B.Tech civil engineering, around 10% of students got placed in campus placements. The highest salary package offered was 4 LPA, and the lowest salary package offered was 2.4 LPA. The average salary package offered was 2.8 LPA. Infosys, TCS, etc., are the top recruiters for our course. Every student did an internship in the last (8th) semester in different companies. Civil engineer is the top role offered in our course.

It is a good college in terms of faculty members and infrastructure.

Placements: I have an average experience from this college. The placement ratio for the mechanical branch is decreasing continuously. Nirma University is only known for the computer branch, and rather than that, all branches' performances are average. Placements and the number of companies visiting the campus are decreasing at a very fast rate. If you are in the computer branch, then I suggest opting for this college. Otherwise, find some better options.

Satisfied with the college.

Placements: Approximately 100 out of 120 students of the Electronics branch were placed and the highest package was 14 Lacs and the company was Cyprus. The top recruiting companies are Bank of American Cyprus. Approximately 95 students got internships. VLSI engineer, embedded engineer are the roles offered.

Our college has a beautiful campus, boring classrooms and above 85% attendance criteria.

Placements: Placements for the mechanical branch are moderate here, and around half of the students got placed in good companies. The highest salary package offered was around 11 LPA, but it was offered by a financial company. If you get selected in Robocon or Baja SAE, then you will have a good CV and can get huge offers. The lowest salary package offered was around 2.5 LPA and the average salary package offered was around 3 LPA-4 LPA. Many more companies are still to visit the campus. Not many paid intern...

Dissatisfied because of teaching methodologies and faculty members also.

Placements: The placements for our batch were excellent. Almost more than 50 percent of the students got placed. Many core companies such as Cypress, ARM, Nxp, Bosch, IBM and mass hiring companies visited our campus. The highest package is of Rs 15 lac per annum and the lowest is 3.5 lac per annum. Yes there is placement cell known as III cell. There are working very hard to get student placed in good company for registered students.

It is a decent college with good infrastructure.

Placements: There was a placement cell in our college. Students from our batch were selected as representatives of the batch, who helped in passing of information and other communications related to placements and companies very easy. Placements and number of companies visit here were decent.

Overall satisfactory review of my college.

Placements: Overall good placements for Computer Engineering students. Training for placements is also provided to help students clear the interview. The curriculum is set insuch a way that it becomes easy to clear technical rounds of the interview. Placement cell also tried to conduct activities to help students with their interviews.

Attendance might annoy you, teachers get better with year, no hostel for Bachelor students ***. .

Placements: Placements are average (3-7lpa) just like any other NIT if you want to be placed in a software company. Maximum amount has been up to 28lpa in Amazon. A CS guy is on 50k/month stipend with Nvidia. If you are seeking core companies in your branch then you may be disappointed. Core companies do come but are very less in number and seat availability are also less. Participating in competitive teams like SAE BAJA can get you in Mahindra as it's their competition in India and they look to hire from t...

Nirma University M.Tech programme.

Placements: I've taken admission just because of it's reputation in Gujarat. But here placement is not up to mark in M.Tech programme. As per my knowledge, some local companies comes for internship but there is no surity of 100 percent placement. If you are willing to take admission here in M.Tech programme just because of placement, I would suggest don't go for it.

Dissatisfied with faculty and the strict attendance rules, but happy about good placements.

Placements: Placements for the senior batch were very great. There are a huge group of core and good companies such as Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley, Amazon, Microsoft and much more. These were the companies which provided packages of 16 LPA or more. As of now, the IT industry is growing. So, huge placements are there for IT. And almost all the students got placed in some companies from the college. The placement cell of Nirma University is also very cooperative and has good relations with many companies, s...

I don't suggest for M.Tech. I will suggest only for B.Tech.

Placements: Out of 30 students, in my class, no student is placed. But they are taking a lot of money as the fee. The fee for the college is 2.70 LPA. And placement is 0%. The internship provided is good, but it is not converting into a job. It is a type of money maker machine in the education sector. They provide only good infrastructure and library. But don't give opportunities to the students.

Good option but research well for the other colleges.

Placements: The placements were not enough in the civil branch as compared to the computer science, IT, ,EC, IC and mechanical branches. Surely, there are better chances as compared to other institutes in Gujarat. It is improving every day. But the computer branch has a brilliant placement record as compared to all.

My opinion about Nirma University

Placements: The highest placement went to a guy from the CE department at roughly 20 lacs offered by Morgan Stanley. Amazon also took one guy for the summer internship with stipend equalling to 80,000 per month. Other than these, companies like Goldman Sachs, Infosys and TCS visit the campus every time.

The worst college from my POV.

Placements: The placement of our batch was good. The highest package was 8 lpa, the lowest package was 2.4 lpa, and the average package was 3.5 lpa. The number of students placed out of 120 was 100. This college doesn't provide any facility for internship; you have to find it by yourself. Stipend was provided only to the computer science students. So if you have got good contacts, then find it yourself.

Nirma- a college which makes you realise that placement is not everything.

Placements: Placement is good. You will get decent chemical companies. You may even get placed in government chemical companies. You can get a maximum package of 5-6 lacs but not more than that. The mass package you may get is 3-4 lac. Plus, if you get one back, you aren't allowed to sit for the placements.

Our college has 3 departments, each one caters to similar streams. This is a good design as it minimizes the movement of faculties and students. Faculty: Some teachers are really good in teaching. We had a teacher from RBI who came and taught us economics. But, majority of the teachers are not clear with their own concepts. Placements: Placements are decent. Some good companies visit our campus like Morgan Stanley, HUL, Reliance, Practo, etc. But they are not enough to place everyone. A third of...

The college is good in terms of teaching and learning. Faculty is good overall and helping. They are knowledgeable and great at their respective subjects. The campus is nice and the environment is pleasant, classmates are friendly and there is absolutely zero ragging, they have strict rules for it. The rules and regulations for attendance are too rigid, the attendance should be >85% which is too much.
