A review of the college from student's perspective.

Placements: Very few students attended placements as most of them went for further studies. I would give 2.5 out of 5 for placements. One student got placed in Amazon. Good companies like Godrej, Wipro, etc. do come to our college for placements. However, I didn't like the job role offered to me.

Studies at JDBI is an amazing Journey.

Placements: The placement department was newly set up in the year 2015, so only 20% of the students got placements through college sources. More than half of the students opted for higher studies while 15% opted for the family business. Overall, the placement department was active and achieved as much as 20% placements within 6 months.

Most of the students don't opt for jobs and go head with further studies. There is one faculty in charge of placing the students.

Placements: Good companies visit the campus for freshers. The college will bring reputed companies for both internship and final placements to students. The companies with good salary package and good name come down to campus for placements. The average salary package can be close to 5 to 6 lacs per annum for selected students. The college has the good infrastructure and faculty.

Placements: It is mandatory for all the students to intern for a few months to get exposure to the practical world. The students are placed in various non-governmental organisations as well as multinational corporations. Non-governmental organisations include hope foundation and NGOs outside Kolkata. Multinational corporations include Tate Steel.

It's all about a tag we get in the end.

Placements: I personally do not have much experience regarding placements, but as I heard from seniors and our principal, there are plenty of placements provided, but the main issue is that the students are not turning up for a job after being selected. So, this is putting the college in a dicey position of calling the companies for recruiting. Top companies like Wipro, Amazon, and HDFC Bank come to our campus for recruitments.

A good management college.

Placements: There was a separate department for placements and placement was offered to only those who opted of it. Many companies came down to our college offering diverse profiles in the field of marketing and finance. Few of the companies were Future first, Swiggy and KPMG amongst others.

I am absolutely satisfied because of faculty members and facilities provided by our college.

Placements: Placements were decent in our college as reputed companies visited for students to enhance their career in the fields they were interested in. Students also got an opportunity to experience the corporate world, which would not have been possible otherwise.

College review of J.D. Birla Institute

Placements: The placements offered to the 3rd year students of JD Birla Institute were quite decent. A lot of different companies such as Wipro came to the college and offered management as well as accounting roles. Salaries offered varied according to the company as well as the designation.

An average college with average placements.

Placements: The placements were poor as only 50% of the batch got placed. The major recruiter was Wipro and it offered the analyst role. The average salary went around Rs. 15000 to 20000 per month. Internship was not compulsory, therefore, the college did not provide any assistance for the same.

Although they did not have very good infrastructural facilities, there was focus on group learning through presentations and with the aid of new technologies like tablets, video learning. Also a lot of guest lectures were held from reputed people from the academic and industrial background. It maintained a perfect balance of academic and non- academic activities and hence provided a brilliant atmosphere for learning.

It is the top management college in the city.

Placements: The placement cell of our college is good. Top companies like Big Four, PWC, Infosys and Wipro visit our campus every year for placements and internships. Almost 70% of the students get placed every year, but most of the students go for higher studies. Jobs that are offered after the graduation are mainly HR, marketing and finance related.

Placements: Placements are pretty decent. I have yet to experience it, but from what I have heard, it is quite good. It is a renowned college of Kolkata, and it always has its perks. We are introduced to successful entrepreneurs at regular intervals. Workshops are even arranged to encourage us.

I am satisfied with my college and the facilities provided.

Placements: In my batch, 200 students got placed. JD Birla provides placement in reputed companies to its students. The most popular offered roles are in Management, operations, and HR. However, our BBA branch doesn't provide placement but they are working on it since last year. The last batch appeared for campus interviews.

The placements provide by the college are very good.

Placements: The total number of students is 250 in every department and M.Com gives 100% placement. The package is starting from INR 96,000 per annum and it goes to INR 6,00,000 per annum and some companies also provide performance incentives. I exactly don't know the percentage of students who got an internship from my course as my course is not yet completed. But, I have heard from my seniors that the placements offered are very good.
