NEET PG merit list 2024 for All India Quota 50% seats was released online. The merit list was uploaded online in PDF format. Candidates included in the merit list will be eligible to participate in the NEET PG 2024 counselling to be held by Medical Counselling Committee (MCC). The counselling began on September 20 with online registration. Round-1 seat allotment result was announced on November 20, 2024. The merit list comprising details such as NEET PG 2024 rank, AIQ 50% rank, AIQ category rank etc, can be downloaded from the official website, natboard.edu.in. A direct link has been provided below to download the merit list for NEET PG 2024 AIQ 50% seats. NBE uploaded NEET PG 2024 scorecards for AIQ 50% seats. Candidates will be able to download scorecards for 50% All India quota result from the official website, nbe.edu.in. It must be noted MCC conducts counselling for 50% seats while respective state counselling bodies will conduct counselling for rest 50% seats. 

NEET PG 2024 result was released on August 23, 2024 for candidates who appeared for the exam. The result cum merit list was uploaded online in the form of PDF. The merit list comprises details such as roll number, marks scored, rank etc. Along with the result, NEET PG 2024 cut off percentile has also been released for each category. Candidates must noted the result PDF for NEET PG 2024 will not be sent to individual candidate but he/she will have to download it from the official website, nbe.edu.in.  NEET PG 2024 scorecards were released on August 30 by NBE. Candidates will be able to download NEET PG 2024 scorecard with login details from the official website, nbe.edu.in. Candidates who have scored the minimum NEET PG 2024 cut off have been declared qualified for the exam.

NBEMS has calculated the scores based on normalisation process adopted by AIIMS for many of its exams including INI CET. In the normalisation scoring system, the toppers have been assigned 100 percentile score and the marks secured between highest and lowest scores in the examination has been converted into percentiles of up to 7 decimals. NEET PG 2024 exam was held on August 11, 2024 in two shifts.

Validity of the NEET PG result 2024

The result of NEET PG 2024 is valid for only one academic session and cannot be carried forward to the next session. This implies that the NEET PG 2024 result will be valid for the academic session 2024-25 only. For admission to the next session, the candidate will have to appear for the examination next year.

Cut off Score and Percentile for NEET PG 2024

To qualify the examination a candidate needs to secure more than or equal to the cut off percentile prescribed by the NBE. The cut off percentile for NEET PG 2024 is different for candidates belonging to different categories. NBE will release the cut off scores for NEET PG 2024. NEET PG cut off scores can be revised by the NBE, in consent with the Medical Council of India (MCI), if the number of qualified candidates is insufficient. NEET PG Result: The Types

NBE releases two types of NEET PG result for providing admission to PG courses at medical colleges across the country. The medical colleges use scores of NEET PG for allocating different categories of seats to candidates. The two types of results of NEET PG have been explained below:

NEET PG result for 50% AIQ seats

This category of NEET PG results is for admission to 50 % All India Quota Seats. NBE releases the result in PDF format. The counselling for these seats is conducted by the Medical Counselling Committee. Admission to these seats is provided on the basis of AIQ rank, marks obtained, choices filled, reservation criteria, and availability of seats. The cut off for admission to AIQ 50% seats is the same as the minimum qualifying percentile. NBE released NEET PG 2024 merit list for 50% quota seats on September 5, 2024.

NEET PG result for State quota seats

This type of result is for admission to State quota seats. The respective State authorities conduct counselling for admission to the PG courses in the state quota category. No state is allowed to conduct any other exam for allocating MD/MS/PG diploma seats. 

How Marks Calculated for NEET PG Result

NEET PG result will be prepared on the basis of the marking scheme. NEET PG question paper comprises 200 questions of 800 marks in the exam. The marking scheme for the calculation of the total score of the candidate is given below:

NEET PG result 2024: Types of merit lists

  • All India 50% quota rank: This is an overall merit list and denotes the merit position of the candidate amongst all those who have appeared for the entrance test, irrespective of their category. The overall merit list will include all the names of all the candidates who have appeared for the examination.
  • All India 50% quota category rank: This is a category-wise merit list and denotes the merit position of the candidate amongst all the candidates from only that category (OBC/SC/ST), as opted by the candidate. This list will only include the names of those candidates who had opted for reservations under the respective category.

NEET PG 2024 Score card

NBE will release NEET PG 2024 score card for candidates who had appeared for the examination. Candidates will be able to download the scorecard of NEET PG 2024 by logging into their registered accounts on the official website of NBE. The steps to download the NEET PG 2024 score card have been given below.

Steps to Download the NEET PG Score card 2024?

The candidates who qualify for the examination will have the option to download the scorecard for NEET PG 2024. The steps to download the NEET PG 2024 scorecard are:

  1. Go to the official website of NBE
  2. Click on 'NEET PG'
  3. Login using registration Id and password generated at the time of registration
  4. View your NEET PG scorecard 
  5. Check the details on the scorecard for errors
  6. Download and print the scorecard

  • Father's/mother's name
  • NEET PG roll number
  • Date of birth

  • PWD status
  • Total number of correct responses in the examination

Candidates are advised to check the details mentioned on the scorecard of NEET PG 2024. If there is any discrepancy in the details printed on the scorecard, he/she must contact the NBE authorities immediately and get it rectified. If a candidate fails to get the errors rectified on the NEET PG result 2024, he/she may lose the chance to attend the counselling even if he/she qualifies for the examination. The details should match those printed on the documents of the candidates and his/her photo ID proof.

NEET PG Result 2024 Tie Breaker Guidelines

When preparing the merit list, the authorities often come across two candidates with equal marks in the NEET PG result. To help determine the ranks of the candidates in such cases and efficiently complete the process, NBE has placed a tie-breaker protocol in place for NEET PG 2024 result.

  • Candidates having a greater number of correct responses in the question paper will be placed at a better merit position
  • Candidates having a lesser number of negative responses in the question paper will be placed at a better merit position
  • The older candidates will be placed at a better merit position
  • Candidates securing higher aggregate marks (in percentage) in all MBBS Professional Examinations will be placed at a better merit position

What After NEET PG 2024 Result?

After NEET PG 2024 result declaration, candidates will have to participate in the counselling. Candidates will ahve to register online and declare choice for college and course for NEET PG 2024 counselling. Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) will conduct counselling for allotment of 50 percent AIQ seats while respective state counselling bodies will conduct counselling for rest seats. A merit list will be published by MCC for 50 % All India Quota seats. The merit list will comprise eligible candidates for seat allotment. The seat will be allotted based on different factors including NEET PG marks, percentile, reservation criteria, choice filled, seat availablity etc.

NEET PG 2024 exam was moderate as per the students who appeared in the exam on August 11, 2024. Most of the questions were clinical in nature. Lots of questions were from Surgury, gyneacology, and other topics. Overall 90 percent questions were easy while 10 percent was out of box.
