Mechanical engineering at JCET.

Placements: I'm a student coordinator in the placement wing of our college. This year, for mechanical engineering, we mainly had campus recruitment from Indian Navy, which started since last year. Major companies like TCS, Zoho, SAP also come up for campus recruitment visits to the campus.

I am not at all satisfied with the college.

Placements: The placements for the EC department is poor. Not many companies recruit from this college and majority of them will recruit for the call centres. They also provide personality development classes. They used to show that they have very good placements in their brochures, which is a blind lie.

JCET: a do or die game for students. Think before you choose.

Placements: No placements. This college didn't conduct any placement drive for aeronautical students. No serious placement assistance or discussion in the college. Only some professors were serious about the students' future and career. The management has a criminal history, regarding the suicide case of a student.

Having some dissatisfaction due to less placement opportunities but happy with infrastructure

Placements: In the case of our senior batch, only a company named P3 (software company related to aero) had come for the placement. But I think that is not enough for a college placement. Totally, 28 students were placed for a temporary post and after 6 months, 4 were selected for a permanent post. The highest salary for placed students was Rs. 18000 in the beginning and after 6 months, the salary raised up to Rs. 25000. The minimum salary offered was Rs. 6000. Companies visited are: 1)P3 2)Infosys Studen...

Placements: Around 80% of students are placed in our college The average package was 10000 rupees and the highest package was 30000 to 40000 rupees We have placement options from Jet Aerospace, Jet space, Air India We can do internship from different companies around India and we have to give an application letter to our company and we have to get approval from that company after that we have to get signature from the principal and then only we can go to internship

One of the best colleges with good faculty members and infrastructure, but placements are less.

Placements: The placements offered in mechanical departments are very few, and there are no mechanical core companies coming to recruit the graduates. Most of the placements are offered by IT firms, and the packages offered by them are not up to the mark. In my batch, nearly 10 percent of students got placed, and to the best of my knowledge, none of them is in core companies.

Review of Jawaharlal College of Engineering and Technology.

Placements: Placement facilities were clearly focused only on computer science students. Most of the visited companies were tier-2 or tier-3. Other branch students didn't get opportunities related to their branches but they were offered sales and marketing or business development roles. Placement opportunities for the aeronautical engineering course were zero. The salary package range offered to computer science students was between 3 LPA and 5 LPA.

Wonderful college and surrounding anyone could apply with their eyes closed.

Placements: About 60% of students are placed and got good reputed jobs all around india and the highest salary offered as a fresher was 25000 and the lowest was 7000 and many offers had came from reputed companies like TCS, TATA, Infosys etc. And so many Kerala based co operates like saarangi, eureka. The best roles was supervisor post and engineer role. The highest package was 1 year trainee and direct sub engineer jon with 30000 salary and the lowest was 2 year package with only 7000 salary. 35% of studen...

It is an Unbeatable college for everything.

Placements: This is the place where your dream will turn into reality. The college provides placements from different prestigious companies like ICICI Bank, Nestle, CSS Corp, Amazon, Tata Consultancy, KPMG, IBS, etc. The stipend is good, and the contract is also negotiable.
