Q:   How successful is the placement cell in securing jobs for B.E. / B.Tech students at JEPPIAAR SRR Engineering college?

    A:
    {Source: B.E. / B.Tech students & alumni}

Placement Cell Success Rate for BE/BTech Students at JEPPIAAR SRR Engineering College

Based on student reviews, it appears that the placement cell at JEPPIAAR SRR Engineering College has some challenges in securing jobs for its BE/BTech students.

    * Limited Placement Offers: Many students reported that the college struggles to provide placement offers, especially for the Mechanical branch. It seems that most placement offers come from smaller industries or companies.
    * No Separate Placement Block: Unlike other colleges, JEPPIAAR SRR Engineering College does not have a dedicated placement block or cell, which may affect its ability to attract top industry companies.

However, some positive feedback suggests that the college makes efforts to improve placement rates, such as organizing workshops and seminars for student development.

Overall, while the placement cell faces some challenges, the college seems to be taking steps to address these issues and improve outcomes for its students.

Our college is very good. I would not recommend joining this college.
Placements: Only small companies visit our college to recruit students.
Infrastructure: We have a library class in the first year. Our hostel is good. We have a separate medical room in our college. It is very helpful. It is one of the best colleges in Chennai in terms of food.
Faculty: Our college has the best teachers in Chennai. They are very good. Their teaching quality is very good. This course makes students industry-ready.
Other: Our engineering college has been closed. Our batch is the last. But 3 years back, our college was one of the top-ranking colleges in Tamil Nadu. Now our engineering college has been converted into arts. It is a strict college. Our college life is very enjoyable. It is an engineering college

I am absolutely dissatisfied with the management.
Placements: Placements were not good. We have a very small number of interviews, and that is also not a good company. Even if we get selected, there is no call back from the selected company. If you're good at technology, you can try harder and get a good job on your own. Don't waste your money by investing in this college for the name of the institution. They have lost their dignity, not even focusing on students and their future.
Infrastructure: There is no Wi-Fi facility, and the classroom does not have good infrastructure either. Even though the library had quite a number of valuable books, it also had a very low number of books overall. The hostel and food are not good.
Faculty: Only the technical and non-technical staff members are the best assets. They are very good in their domain and are also great and very helpful. The course and curriculum are pre-defined. We can even choose the optional subject. They have already chosen one. We just need to confirm that. Exams are all good as they are conducted by Anna University.
Other: The entire management needs to update themselves, and the overall campus needs to improve its quality.

College had decent placements and the faculty was top notch.
Placements: At our college, there were an average number of placement opportunities for the CSE. Around 45% of the students get placements in our college. The highest package offered was 9 LPA. The lowest package offered was 3 LPA. The average package offered at the college was 4 LPA. Top recruiting companies in our course are TCS, WordPress, Wipro, Tata Technologies, etc. At the college, around 60% of students get internships.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure for the CSE course at the college was good enough. In our course department, there were computer labs with Wi-Fi connections. A library facility was also available for the students. The college has a canteen facility for the students. In this college hostel, facilities were not given to the students.
Faculty: The faculty of the college are helpful, qualified and knowledgeable. Teachers were making us learn all the required job skills at the college. Various workshops were organized by the teachers for the students development. The course curriculum followed at the college was relevant. Semester exams were tough, and various students failed.

It is very hard to survive in this college.
Placements: There is nothing. Our college says that they give importance to academics, but they won't. I suggest at least to pay us basic needs as we are paying a debut.
Infrastructure: Everything is below average because of low strength. I think it should be combined with the main branch. Otherwise, it would be in lacks. Teachers, HODs, managers and directors are not suffering, but only students and parents suffer here. Management has to take the necessary steps. NCC is good. We suffer from many issues, mainly transport facility because the distance is very long, and it takes nearly 3.5 hours to reach the students' last stop.
Faculty: All faculty members are below average and the worst. However, their teaching is moderate.

Faculty members and infrastructure are very good.
Placements: Many students got placed in our college. The starting salary package offered is around 1 LPA to 5 LPA. TCS, CTS, Wipro, HCL, Infosys and many other companies are the top recruiters. Students who scored above 8% of GPA got an internship in many companies. Companies are mostly focused on IT and CSC.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is good. Quality of food is good, and every day the menu of the food is changing. Medical, sports, hostel and canteen are also very good.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful in clearing our doubts, and they are well-skilled and knowledgeable. Quality of their teaching is good, and their teaching skills are very understanding. The course makes us ready for companies. In our college, all faculty members are well-skilled and experienced.
Other: I am in the 2nd year of 3rd semester, and I am not yet passed out of this college. I like programs very much, and it is very understandable to me, so I have chosen information technology as my career.

Really good things are available here. Placement offers are also good.
Placements: In our college, campus interviews are altered due to COVID-19 pandemic. However, some of our seniors got placed in campus placements. Campus placements are good, and more students who passed out of the college got placed. Many companies visit for placements.
Infrastructure: Lab and library facilities are good here. Extra courses are available, and only students who are interested in sports and games will participate. Hostel life is good, and beds, system and many more facilities are available in the hostel. Medical facilities are available on the campus. The campus is cleaned well.
Faculty: The knowledge of teachers here is good, and they provide help all the time in the classroom or other time. Teachers solve all problems of students, and they all take well care of students all the time.
