    {Source: B.E. / B.Tech students & alumni}

Is JP Institute of Engineering and Technology (JPIET) good for BE/BTech?

Based on the reviews and feedback from students and alumni, here's a summary of the pros and cons:

    Pros:

    * Good infrastructure: New buildings, well-maintained classrooms, labs, sports complex, and hostels.
    * Dedicated faculty: Many professors are knowledgeable, helpful, and supportive.
    * Placements: While not exceptional, some students have secured jobs at reputed companies like Tata, TCS, Byju's, Wipro, and others.
    * Affordable fees: Compared to other private colleges, JPIET's fees seem reasonable.
    * Excellent hostel facilities: Comfortable rooms, campus Wi-Fi, and decent food quality.
    * Opportunities for extracurricular activities: Events like Inceptra and DJ nights are organized annually.

    Cons:

    * Placement issues: Some students reported difficulty finding placements, and those who did found the salaries relatively low.
    * Limited industry connections: Students mentioned that the college could improve its ties with the corporate world to secure better placements.
    * Poor faculty-to-student ratio: This might impact individual attention and guidance.
    * Quality of education varies: Some students felt that certain faculty members lacked enthusiasm and engagement, leading to subpar learning outcomes.
    * Limited resources: Lab facilities, particularly, seemed insufficient for some departments.
    * High expectations: Students may enter with unrealistic hopes of securing dream jobs, only to be disappointed by the reality.

Overall Verdict: JP Institute of Engineering and Technology seems to be a decent option for BE/BTech students, offering a mix of positives and negatives. While it has some strengths, such as good infrastructure and dedicated faculty, it faces challenges in terms of placements, industry connections, and resource allocation. Prospective students should weigh these factors carefully before making an informed decision.

    Overall, the college is excellent.
Placements: Companies like Tata, TCS, Byjus, Wipro, etc., visit the campus for placements purposes. Many students have scored themselves one, but still, some improvement should be made, which will be useful. However, skills like professional communication are taught here.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is pretty good and hefty. Our college provides libraries. Some labs are great, and some are average. But atleast we can do the work in labs. Medical facilities are not great. Most of the sports are available for hostel students.
Faculty: Faculty members in our college are good. Their average age was 38. The youngest faculty age was 31. They are friendly and soft by nature. Their concept, their teaching style, and the notes provided are fabulous. Some practical sessions are not held due to a lack of equipment.
Other: In my opinion, the college has an overall good rating. The college is always trying to provide new opportunities to students.

It is an average college to get an AKTU degree with less price.
Placements: Placements in our college are very bad. Not a single company visited our college for placements. For some years we are waiting to get any chance, but after very disappointment, we find some companies by ourselves. So if you want only a degree, then join this college. Do not join this college with the hope of placements.
Infrastructure: Overall, it is a good college for its infrastructure.
Faculty: Faculty members are average. Everything depends on their mood, and if they want to help students, then they do. Otherwise, they neglect. If you can do everything on your own, then I suggest opting for this college. Passing out students from B.Tech can teach polytechnic students, which is very bad as they teach very little. They don't focus on students' future, and they just ask to study on their own. They are not responsible for anything anywhere, but some faculty members are good and help students.

I was satisfied with all the facilities of this college.
Placements: The placements were not good in this college. But with time, things got improved, and more students started getting placed. The placement team changed, and the work speed got boosted. By the end of 2015, the majority of students got placed and in our batch, around 80% of students got placed.
Infrastructure: In our college, laboratories, infrastructure, hostel, and everything was very good. There was much support from the part of seniors and everyone used to follow the anti-ragging instructions. The Wi-Fi facility was very good. As it is 2015, it still arranged the Wi-Fi facility for the students.
Faculty: Faculty members were excellent in our college. They helped students a lot during the academic years. Most of them were M.Tech and the rest were pursuing their P.hd. They were open to all student's doubts and queries. They helped students during the preparation of the GATE exam, and I was able to clear in the very first attempt with the support of our faculty members.

I am dissatisfied with the placement record, fee structure, infrastructure, etc.
Placements: Our college does not provide placements in the civil engineering course in the year 2019. If you are searching for a college with good placements and study, then I suggest you search for another college.
Infrastructure: Our college provides Jio Wi-Fi facility, but it has very limited data with slow speed. Our college provides good labs for the civil engineering department. Our college provides good classrooms for the civil engineering course. The library is the worst, but sufficient books are not available here. The hostel facility is the worst. The college management is not supportive. The hostel facility is average with the worst food quality.
Faculty: All the civil engineering faculty members were helpful and knowledgeable. They have good teaching quality. All faculty members are GATE qualified. They are very supportive, and they teach each subject in detail. They support us 24x7. I am happy with the civil engineering faculty members.

It is the best college and provides good faculty members.
Placements: Approximately 75 % of the students got placed from college. The highest salary package offered was 25 LPA, and the lowest salary package offered was 2.8 LPA. Top companies like Samsung, Wipro and Vivo visited the campus for recruitment. Many students went to the telecom sector. Many students got selected from telecommunications and some from android.
Infrastructure: Facilities provided by the college were good, and the infrastructure was also good. Labs were available with all the instruments. Classrooms were fine, and there was a smart library. Hostel rooms were good, and the food served was also of the best quality. Medical facilities were available 24x7. The college also provided sports and games.
Faculty: Faculty members in our college were smart and well educated. Teaching quality was excellent. They also helped students to achieve their goals. They were very supportive of students to crack the interview in top companies. They also developed the personality of all students.
Other: I opted for this course because I wanted to go to the telecom sector and to know how it works.
