Competitive due to autonomous status but there are better options.

Placements: The placements provided by the college were not great. The highest provided was by TCS with CTC around 4 LPA. Most people opted out of the placement process and did not sit for the companies. This could also have been the case as many were giving their CA and CS exams along with B.Com.

Campus: It’s really awesome. One of the best campus in Mumbai. Placement: You can get good placement. As for myself, I have done B.Com from here and got good placement. Faculty: They are good but frankly speaking some have very arrogance in themselves. For studying: If you really want to study and want to secure good percentage, this college is not for you. If you want to enjoy the college life, then its definately for you. Programme: Various programmes are conducted, so that students can enjo...

K.J Somaiya has a brand name. The college has the best campus in Mumbai. But the college is not up to the mark in quality of teaching and even the college crowd is not that great. Even the fee structure of the college is affordable. Canteen food is great although it is pure veg. There are 4 canteens inside the campus. The campus does provide sports and fitness facility. We do have a hostel in our college campus.

Good campus but management is bad.

Placements: It was all dependent on your name on list and payment you have to make. They go by list process and approximately list close on 75-79%. Majority of students are doing CA CS so as no attendance college this college is best for this type of students, average package is 5-6 Lacs.

Good placements and good faculty.

Placements: The placement cell is working pretty hard. I had my other course exams at the time the recruitment started. So I was left out. But even though they personally called me and said that why dint you appear and all. They even told me to call them after exams. And if, at that time they would have companies they would tell me. The highest firm were KPMG, Deloitte, etc. and they offered good package on an average of 5 Lacs LPA for freshers as internship. The placement cell tried their best to get as ma...

If yo want to enjoy your college life with almost no restrictions, I would recommend you KJ Somaiya.

Placements: There were no notable placements in our college but that was the case for every B.Com graduating students. Most colleges didn't provide placement for B.Com graduates so you have to shape yourself for a job after graduating. I could remember that the result came early than university colleges and they gave marksheets quite early which was required during interviews.

It's a good college, recommended for Gujarati friends circle.

Placements: I don't have much idea but I got quite a good package. Internships and packages are not allowed to leak so I can't talk about it, but it was more than sufficient. About 60% of people from our college of arts and commerce got interns in different places.

It is a good college for studies.

Placements: The highest package offered in my course was 1lpa. The lowest package offered in my course was 50K and the average package offered was 60K. 10 percent of the students got placements in my college and the top role offered in my course was the role of a bank manager.

Dissatisfied due to poor timings of classes. And the crowd isn't very open to different people.

Placements: There were no packages provided for B.A. psychology graduates, as having the qualification of only Bachelor's isn't going to help or make a suit for any job roles. No internships were provided by the college, students had to find by themselves. Also the seats for psychology students are only 25, so you need to complete highly for the seat. Even with no kt, you still might not get the seat got psychology.

Students have below average college life in this college.

Placements: Our college conducts an industrial visit just to Parle-G factory in Asangaon, while students of other colleges visit Rajasthan for an industrial visit. There are no placements in this college.

Our college life is the best.

Placements: BA students are not given any placements through our college. If we want to go in teaching stream, we need to have a higher degree. For creative writings and all other such careers, we need to have the creativity and few certificates. So might be this is the reason for not giving us any placements.

K J Somaiya College of Arts and Commerce is an amazing college.

Placements: Placements process were conducted in a better way with a three-step aptitude test, group discussion and personal interview. Almost 60 to 70% of the students got placed in different companies. The starting salary package was offered Rs. 15,000 per month, according to their capabilities, it gets increased, and it was a very smooth process. We felt blessed so that after final exams we don't have to wander here and there for placements.

I am dissatisfied with the faculty. It provides good placements, best infrastructure and cafeterias.

Placements: The college provides adequate placements for students with a salary package that ranges between 2-3 LPA. The salary offered to students is Rs. 25,000 per month. Many corporates indulge in extracting some hidden qualities of these applicants. Placements in our college are not up to the mark compared to town colleges.

Overall satisfied with this esteemed institution.

Placements: I haven't been to the campus placement programme at the college. However, I heard that it is good. Though there are a few MNCs, it does provide good exposure to the candidates. I cannot give a detailed view of the placements because I haven't been a part of this programme.
