Review of K J Somaiya College of Science and Commerce.

Placements: Almost 50-60% of the students were placed in great companies. The highest salary package offered was 5 LPA. The lowest was in the range of 1.5 LPA - 2 LPA. The recruiters were Line, Rubicon, Kewa Organics, Cipla, etc. All the students were offered internships in the final semester. Top roles offered were scientists, QA, QC analyst, and a chemist.

My college life is best here.

Placements: I don't have any idea regarding placements because I never tried for them. However, there were opportunities for internships in our college. But I think it should be made compulsory for students to do internships so that they can have some experience of work-life and have some experience letter also.

All in one package if you want holistic education.

Placements: Almost 80% of the students got placement, still maximum number of students opted for higher studies. If you are looking for job they have placement cell where a concerned student can get in touch with industry or employer! One of the best placement cell in my opinion.

It is a wonderful college and provides a beautiful campus life.

Placements: When it comes to placements, it was mostly handled by a student's cell as most of the students opt to go for further studies. The highest salary package offered was a 3 LPA. The top recruiting firms are TCS, Avalon Consultants, etc. A very few students opt for internships as most of them are either preparing for CA entrance or MBA.

I had a great experience at this college.

Placements: Placements in our college are good. Companies like TCS, Infosys, Capgemini, LTI, Hexaware, etc., visit our college for placements. The salary package offered was 3.5 LPA. The college has a good placement cell with helpful and well-informed faculty members. Almost all my batchmates who wanted a job got placed in MNCs. Students who did not get placed were referred to other companies, and they did well there.

You will have a good infrastructure and amazing campus life.

Placements: Placements were average for our course, just like in any other B.Sc course. Approximately 50% of the students got placed from our course. Only 5%-10% of the students got internships from our college. Companies like TCS, Here Technologies and Maps visited our college for placements. Roles like analysts, etc., were offered in companies. Most of the students get a salary ranging from Rs. 15,000-18,000 per month.

It is the best college for studies and sports. It is a huge campus and has all essential facilities.

Placements: A minimum of 60% marks is required for the students to be eligible for placements. For my course is B.Sc. IT, the recruiting companies are TCS, Wipro and many more. Most of the students were recruited. You should score 60% marks in all semesters, have good English speaking skills, have knowledge about programming languages C+, Java, HTML and Python to get placed. The college is autonomous and has its syllabus. There are 3 exams in each semester that are internal, external and practical exams. Ea...

It has great infrastructure and college lifestyle, but education is average.

Placements: Mostly, all the students got placements, and teachers also help students for placements with their contacts in the company. All the big companies come to our college like Amazon, Google, TCS and Wipro. Students who don't have chances to get a job in any company, then our college provides them with a job in any department of the company. Hence, they get experience in the corporate world, and they can improve themselves.

Somaiya is home. There are very less students who'd say they're not satisfied.

Placements: Placements are average in Science and commerce. In other colleges it is great. In my course, usually research centres come here to find interns for them. Big Science centres like BARC pick students from our college. We are really lucky to get trained for the same.

Placements: In my course about 70% of the students got placed. The highest package was 6 Lacs and the lowest package was 3 Lacs and the average package was 3.5 Lacs. The institute does not provide internship to the students. The recruiters of the institute are banking companies.

I am satisfied with the quality of education provided here.

Placements: Placements were not provided for undergraduate students. Forms were provided for placements, but they won't conduct any placements. Most of the students went for post-graduation. Hence the placement scenario is not very clear, but whatever I have heard according to that it is decent.

I am satisfied with the faculty members, but dissatisfied with the administration.

Placements: Only the top students who got O grade were offered placements from the college, while the rest of the students were not bothered. The highest salary package offered was 1.8 LPA, and I don't know about the lowest salary package. Placements were informal, and the college doesn't offer internships.

Overall, it is a good college with good campus and faculty members.

Placements: Placement opportunities were provided in the college. Maintaining 60% and above marks will help you during placements. Companies like Infosys, Capgemini, L&T, etc., visited the college to offer placements but the salary packages offered were only 2.20 LPA to 2.50 LPA. Overall, the placements were good. Having a good percentage will give you a chance to attend the campus drives conducted by all the companies that visit the college.

Our college had the best infrastructure and good faculty members.

Placements: There were hardly 15 students in this biochemistry branch, and all the students got placed in good companies. The average salary package offered was in between 2 LPA to 3 LPA. Companies that visited our college were TCS, Black Turtle and many more. The roles which offered to placed students was back office. If students want to do the internships, they can do as it depends on us.

The college is like a personality development cell.

Placements: I haven't took any placement. Many companies were looking forward to recruit the students, but I would prefer higher education like NETSET because it's better if people want to recruit you rather than you go for it. Be greedy for knowledge, and success automatically comes to you.
