{Source: B.Sc. students & alumni}

Placement Cell Success Rate for B.Sc. Students

Based on the reviews and statements provided by students and alumni, here's an overview of how successful the placement cell is in securing jobs for B.Sc. students at Hinduja College of Commerce:

* Limited Information: Unfortunately, there is limited information available about the placement cell's success rate in securing jobs for B.Sc. students.
* No Specific Data Provided: None of the reviewed statements provide specific data or percentages about the placement cell's success rate.
* Focus on Infrastructure and Facilities: Most statements focus on the college's infrastructure, facilities, and overall environment, but do not specifically discuss the placement cell's performance.
* Some Positive Remarks: A few statements mention that the college provides training for students to prepare them for industries, which could imply that the placement cell helps secure job placements.

Given the limited information available, it is challenging to provide a concrete answer regarding the placement cell's success rate. However, it appears that while the college may offer some support and training for students, there is no direct evidence suggesting that the placement cell is highly effective in securing jobs for B.Sc. students.

Recommendation: For prospective students seeking more information about the placement cell's success rate, I recommend reaching out directly to the college administration or contacting current students/alumni who have gone through the program. This will provide a better understanding of the placement cell's effectiveness and allow students to make informed decisions about their academic choices.

Absolutely satisfied because of faculty and placements.
Placements: Mostly, more than 50–60% of students get placed in my course. If you are thinking of doing B.Sc. IT, then at least you should score more than 50–60% in the 12th grade or SYJC. Talking about the package offered to our course, the highest is INR 8–9 lacs annually, the average is INR 4-5 lakhs, and the lowest will be INR 3–4 lacs annually. Top recruiting companies for our course are mostly IT companies like LTI, Mindtree, and Tech Mahindra, etc. Talking about internships from our course, almost 80–90% of students get the chance to do an internship from our course. The top roles offered in our course are mostly related to coding, cybersecurity, and many other areas.
Infrastructure: Speaking about facilities and infrastructure of our course, they are good. Wi-fi is only available in some places, like the staff room and computer room, and due to Commerce College, our college has only one lab. Talking about quality facilities in our college, first of all, all of us don't have any hostels inside or outside of college, so if you are an outsider, you have to take rent on any apartment near the college. We have one canteen in our college, which is available on the bottom left side of the building. Talking about the food quality of the canteen, it is really good; they keep hygienic and tasty foods. Medical facilities are also available in our college, and in case of any major accident, there is a big hospital nearby. Our college has one gymkhana where you can play some indoor games at your leisure like carrom, table tennis, and many more. Speaking about sports facilities in our college, students get a great chance to play and train. Sport Day is held every December or January.
Faculty: Yes, teachers are really helpful; they are highly qualified in their field, and they have a good amount of knowledge. Talking about the teaching quality of teachers, they are awesome. You are gonna love it. Yes, our course is curriculum-relevant, and it makes students industry-ready. Semesters are not too difficult; the passing percentage of students in our college is more than 80%.
Other: I have chosen this course because I have a strong interest in the IT sector and coding; this is why I chose this programme. Best things about this course: at the end you are going to get a good amount of knowledge and skills. Talking about what would be better, as per me, everything is good in our course. We get weekly or monthly practical problems like making a website. Talking about events, our college is highly active in events and festivals. Students get the chance to show off their knowledge and skills during events and festivals. The campus crowd at our college is literally crazy; you are going to love it. Our college has good connectivity, and the surrounding area is good. Students also get a chance to apply for scholarships. Our college also offers extracurricular activities.

Our college provides good teaching skills and placements.
Placements: Around 60% of students get placed in our course. The average salary package offered in our course is INR 5 LPA. Top roles offered in our course are web developer, junior, and business analyst. Top recruiting companies are Accenture and EY.
Infrastructure: Our college doesn't provide hostel facilities for students. Some PGs available nearby are costly that is INR 10,000 to INR 12,000 per month. Canteen and food stalls outside the campus are good. Our college needs to develop its infrastructure. There are broken benches, broken whiteboards and air conditioners do not work properly.
Faculty: Teachers in our college are helpful and friendly. Some of them are Ph.D qualified and some are engineers. Teaching quality is great. The course curriculum is relevant and makes students confident, knowledgeable, and ready for the industry. Exams are a bit difficult. The pass percentage is 40%.
Other: Events organised in our college are good.

I would recommend people to join some other college. Consider it as an option.
Placements: Out of 100 students, only 5 students at maximum get on-campus placements. The highest placement package is INR 5 LPA of Hinduja College. The lowest placement package is INR 1.3 LPA of Hinduja College. The average placement package is INR 3 LPA. Top recruiting companies such as BSc IT is Infosys, LTI, Wipro, Deloitte, etc. Internship students can get on their own. Job roles offered are Software Developer, Software Tester, etc.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is not that great. We don't have a campus. Only we have is a big building of only 4 floors. Wi-fi and labs are available. We have two labs- One is on the 2nd floor which is kind of old for the commerce department as they don't need any high Configurations PCs. The second lab is on the 3rd floor which is a little decent. Classrooms are fine enough to have 3 ACs and library is also air-conditioned and big.
Faculty: Teachers are average. Some are helpful, while others are not. They are very much rude. Teachers are qualified but most of them lack Knowledge in my opinion. They give most of the part of the syllabus for self-study and the teaching quality is also average. They don't make students industry ready. Semester exams are quite difficult as they are strict enough. There are no chances of cheating. So, the results are fair and therefore the passing percentage is less.
Other: For events, this college is good and also for extracurricular activities. Fest is also good. Connectivity is perfect and they lack too much in campus and its surroundings.

Review of K.P.B Hinduja College of Commerce.
Placements: Around 50% of students got placed in our course. The average salary package offered was 2.5 LPA. The top recruiting companies were Deloitte, Infosys, and some other small companies. Many internships were offered, but only few students take interest in internships. Data analysis, full stack developer, react developer, and others were the roles offered in this college.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure was average. Our college provides library and computer laboratory to student with Wi-Fi and air-conditioner. Canteen was not provided and students had to eat outside of this college. There was a gymkhana where games were provided for students like carrom and table tennis.
Faculty: Faculty members were very helpful and friendly. It did not make students ready for outside industry. Students had to learn by themselves to work in the industry. Exams were not difficult, and around 70% of students passed without any ATKT. It depends on student also that how they were learning.
Other: I chose this course because I wanted to learn about web designing and development. Data structures were provided in our course. I wish there were some more practical knowledge instead of learning from books. Events and fests were held in this college. Scholarships were not provided and if students were interested then they can participate in extra activities.

I am satisfied with this college because of its supportive facilities.
Placements: Top recruiting companies like Wipro, Cognizant, Accenture, Infosys, etc., visit our college to hire students from our course. About 60% of students from our course got an internship, which increased their visibility on campuses and ability to get placed.
Infrastructure: It has secured accommodation, a library, sports facilities, a gym, development of interpersonal and employability skills, small size classrooms, and career supervisors. Wi-Fi, computer labs, classrooms, library, canteen, and medical facilities are good here.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful, qualified, knowledgeable, collaborative, adaptable, empathetic, and patient. Semester exams are tough, and they may vary. The pass point is 9.6 out of 10 points.
Other: I have chosen this course because IT graduates can perform tasks related to the communication of information between computers, mobile phones, and many other electronic devices. The events and festivals organised are good.

It has best teaching faculty and campus, but placements of 2022 batch were a bit disappointing.
Placements: Until now, only 20-30 students have cleared the aptitude test, and about 50% of them have not been selected. The rest of the students didn't attend the interview. The lowest salary package offered was 2.2 LPA, and the highest salary package offered was about 3.5 LPA. Top companies which visited here were Accenture, TCS, Infosys and Capgemini. I guess only 2-3 students have been selected for internships. Top roles offered here were business analyst and technical analyst.
Infrastructure: There are 2 IT labs with all features like air-conditioners, Wi-Fi and i7th generation PCs and best amenities like great library and classrooms with 4-5 air-conditioners. Hinduja doesn't have a hostel facility. The library system is also good. The best part in semester-1 is there is a practical where we have to prepare PPT in 10 minutes on our college system. So that was very interesting and insightful.
Faculty: One teacher was very helpful, and she taught me the database, which was good. It helped me in my freelancing career because I am a freelance web developer and graphic designer. The teaching quality was impressive like all professors were brilliant in their subjects. The course was relevant, but there should be other subjects related to the industry which will definitely help to gain industry-level exposure. Semester exams were a little bit difficult because some topics were new for students. Still, it was relevant enough.
Other: I chose this course because I was doing my freelancing work. UG BSCIT courses subject was similar to what I was doing, so that is the main reason to join it. One thing I would like to improve is the practical things and subjects. An event organised by the IT department is named Technolution, which is quite good. Other events are organised. There is not any special thing about scholarships. Extracurricular activities include seminars and guest lectures. IV and industry-level workshops should be added for students.
