Bachelor of Computer Applications (BCA) - Batch of 2020

Great course for aspiring IT professionals.
Placements: 60-70% of students in BCA are placed, and the starting package after graduation is between 3-4 LPA. With experience, it can go up to 25-30 LPA. All IT companies recruit BCA students. Around 30-40% of students get internships in companies like Flipkart, HCL, TCS, and Microsoft in roles like Data Analyst, Software Developer, and Data Scientist.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is good, though I don’t live in the hostel. The course and teaching are also excellent. Wi-Fi is available only in labs, and classrooms are equipped with computers. The canteen provides good quality food.
Faculty: The teachers are excellent, and the quality of teaching is very good. Yes, the exams are difficult, especially in the 4th semester, and students need to score at least 45 marks to pass. The first semester was very tough, and many students failed, but I didn’t lose hope, and I’m glad I cracked my exams.
Other: I chose this course because I want to work in the IT sector. The campus is not very big, but the events are enjoyable and make the experience fun.

After completing the course, students can pursue further studies at the institute. In this Bachelor of Science course, roles offered include assistant lab partner, lab technician, etc.
Infrastructure: Our college has laboratories for various departments like biotechnology, microbiology, chemistry, etc. In college library, students can peacefully study or read various kinds of books, including competitive ones. Classrooms are equipped with digital facilities for students. Hostel facilities include two meals a day with good quality. There is a B.Ed system for students. College canteens offer maggi, samosas, sambar vada, and other snacks.
Faculty: Faculty members are kind and polite. They are also very helpful in everything. Teaching quality is good. Teachers take industry visits with students for their enhancement. Semester exams are conducted every six months. To pass, students must score well in the written exam. Practical and internal marks also help us pass the exam.
Other: Since 10th class, I have had an interest in the science field, which is why I opted for this course, and it is worth it. Our college conducts various programs every year related to occasions like the annual function, quiz competitions, debates, etc. If they are eligible for scholarship schemes, we should apply for them. Our college also runs its activities like Career Katta programs.
