Placements: I am pursuing an M.Sc. in Biochemistry at Karpagam of Higher Education. In our course, approximately 80–90% of students from the previous batch were successfully placed. The highest package was 12 LPA, the lowest was 3 LPA, and the average package was 5 LPA. Top recruiting companies for our course include Biocon, Dr. Reddy's laboratories, and Cipla. Additionally, about 80% of the students secured internships in reputed organizations like Biocon and Syngene, often in roles such as research associate and quality control analyst.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure for M.Sc. Biochemistry is well-equipped with modern laboratories, Wi-Fi facilities, and spacious classrooms. The library has a vast collection of relevant books and journals, essential for the course. The hostel facilities are decent, with clean rooms and a well-maintained environment. The mess provides nutritious food, although the variety could be improved. Sports facilities are available, including a gym and courts for various games, which help in maintaining a balanced lifestyle.

Faculty: The faculty in the M.Sc. Biochemistry department are highly qualified, with many holding PhDs and having extensive experience. This college is the best place to nurture and inspire young mind offering excellent opportunities.

Placements: The placements for my batch and my senior batch were excellent. I think atleast 50% of the students who attended placements classes go placed. The highest was12 Lacs per year and the lowest was 3 Lacs per year and average was 5 Lacs per year. The companies like Wipro, TCS, VWR, CTS, Amazon, TNQ, IDBI Federal Life Insurance, IBM, etc. Visited our campus. The roles were BPS, Technical assistance, Proof readers etc. I think 30% of students got internships. The highest stipend was 10k per month, the lowest was 2k per month and the average was 5k per month. Yes there is a placement cell and it is working efficiently and it helped prune our capabilities.

Infrastructure: We have a registered free Wi-Fi for students and staffs. We have many computer labs and good laboratories for every Science related department. The class are well lighted and well aerated. The library constitutes of over 80,000 books on various topics and disciplines and has over 100 journals, magazines and newspapers. We have in house doctor as well as nurse. The campus offers many sports like volleyball, kabaddi, foot ball, hockey, hand ball, badminton kho-kho, indoor games as well as Silambam, karate etc. The labs are well equipped with state of art instruments. The food available in canteen is hygienic, delicious and cheap. Hostel rooms are good and homely. No, I didn't face any issue.

Faculty: The teachers are very helpful. They are highly qualified in their area of research and the related areas. They always study new things and inspire us to do innovative research. The teaching quality is excellent and they pay special attention to average students. The chalk and board method, presentations, seminars, field studies, etc. For every 15 students there is one teacher. Yes, every year they take us for industrial visits. We went to Ooty pasteur industries, Brewries and Quality testing labs in Bangalore. We went to Chemical Institute and Food Industries in Hyderabad. Yes the course curriculum was according to UGC norms and they added the new technologies also.

Other: We have annual inter and intra college cultural fest called Pranaya where students from all over Tamil Nadu come to participate. And we have Mecatroz, Inauguration function, Pongal Festival etc. The campus boasts of accomodating over 5000 students previous academic year. The campus is well connected by road, rail and air. The campus is lush green with trees, lawns and flowering plants. It is neat and clean. We have sports scholarship and minority scholarship. The extracurricular activities include club activities, blood donar camps, Environmental awareness camps, Women safety camps, etc.
