B.E. in Civil Engineering - Batch of 2024
4.6

Best place for placements.
Placements: Nearly 70% of students from my batch got placed in many IT and core-related companies. The highest package I heard was 10 LPA, and the lowest is 3.5 LPA. Companies come for campus interviews. For my core, there are no top companies, only some MNC companies. Students without arrears got internships from companies.
Infrastructure: Our college is old, but the labs and library are fully equipped. The campus has Wi-Fi, classrooms with projectors and smartboards. The hostel is the same for all; there is no AC hostel, and the food is average. Both veg and non-veg menus are available. Medical support is near our college; the institution medical college is close to us. They support sports and take students to various tournaments if they have talent.
Faculty: Teachers are experienced in our college; they teach very clearly, making it easy to understand. They are also available anytime to answer questions. All faculty members are ME graduates with high teaching quality. Our college is autonomous, so the courses are chosen by our staff to meet our needs and make us industry-ready. We have two semesters per year, and in each semester, we have three internal exams, two unit tests, and assignments to submit. We must score 50% to pass.
Other: This college provides better placement compared to other colleges with high fests. Our staff and practical knowledge are the best things about our course. We need more practical activities like those in industries. We have two major events: Kalam for first-year students and Dhuruva for second, third, and fourth-year students. This is one of the biggest events in Coimbatore among colleges. We have two scholarship options: one from the state and another from the central government for backward and low-class people. The campus has green surroundings and a pleasant environment. We have many clubs like NSS, photography, English, etc.

I am satisfied with good placements and facilities provided to students.
Placements: Top companies visit our college to recruit students. They offer internships to students. Placement classes and training are conducted well for students. The highest, average, and lowest salary packages are offered in our course. I am satisfied with placements.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi, a laboratory, and classroom facilities and infrastructure are very good. Good infrastructure helps students to learn peacefully. Hostel facilities are well-satisfied. The quality of the food is good and tasty. Maintenance is good. Overall, students are satisfied.
Faculty: Teachers are well-qualified and knowledgeable. They are very helpful for exams and project work. The course curriculum is relevant to industries. It makes students industry-ready. Semester exams are easy because of the teaching methods of teachers.
Other: I chose this because of my interest in the electrical field.

Absolutely dissatisfied with the culturals and fests.
Placements: 50 out of 600 only get selected in day 0 companies. The highest package offered was 10 - 14 LPA and the lowest was 3 LPA. The top recruiters were TCS, Wipro, Infosys, and many minor IT companies around Coimbatore. I am a graduate of electrical and engineering and some top posts are available only in IT and not in core departments.
Infrastructure: The department looks good as compared to other departments. But the labs are outdated with old machines. Wi-Fi is only for namesake, and if you have a laptop only, you would get access to KCE Wi-Fi. There are no queries about hostel until now, and the food is somewhat okay. No medical facilities are provided inside the campus.
Faculty: Faculty are somewhat rude, and all focus only on placement drives. Some staff do not properly educate, leading to arrears in the semester. The semester exams percentage was 44 percent for this current semester, all because of rushing to complete a semester in 2 months, including exams.
Other: If u want to enjoy your college life, then this college is not for u because it's a waste to join this college. The events and fests are not worth at all, and campus surrounding is not worthy. Scholarships are provided heavily, but if u join in counseling.

Infrastructure is good, facilities are helpful, and placements are above average.
Placements: Placement is average in this college, with 30 out of 100 students getting placed. TCS, Wipro, ServiceNow, and Accenture are the top recruiting companies. This year, a student gets placed with a 40 LPA salary package. Most students were placed with an average salary package offered was 7 LPA -9 LPA. Students were placed in roles such as Software Engineer and Full Stack Developer. College conducts evening and night classes for placement purposes.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure of this college is one of the best. Wi-Fi is available all over the college, the lab facilities are good, and labs are neat. Students get full access to the library, and classrooms are well-equipped. Every class has a projector. Hostel infrastructure is good, with separate hostels for each year of students. However, mess food is below average. College has playgrounds for separate sports.
Faculty: Faculty members in this college are helpful, and their way of teaching is good. All the teachers are well-qualified and knowledgeable. Syllabus helps students prepare for the industry, but they must improve their knowledge to get placed. If we regularly attend classes and study the syllabus, we can easily pass the exams and achieve a high CGPA."
Other: In this college, many cultural events are conducted. Several workshops and hackathons are held, and each department conducts separate workshops.

Insight about Karpagam College of Engineering.
Placements: Placement training at KEC starts in the first year, but it seems heavily focused on coding skills, which may limit students' preparation for the full recruitment process. Aptitude training begins late, after companies start visiting the campus. The high-paying offers are from companies like Amazon, Juspay, Zoho, and PayPal.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is decent, but some aspects could be improved. The Karpagam Innovation Center provides opportunities for students to explore their talents in areas such as dance and music. The hostel rooms are small and shared among four students, but there are no major power or water issues. The food can be inconsistent, but overall it is considered better than other institutions.
Faculty: The placement offers are good, and the faculty is very helpful. The course curriculum is designed to make students industry-ready.

The placement is good if they were study well and they able to solve the aptitude problems .
Placements: 80 percent of students were get placement if they were good in coding and Aptitude tests The starting packages from 2.5 Lacs to 12 Lacs if they were excellent in CGPA and placement The top recruiting companies like (zoho, ntt data, Walmart, Turning) 40 percentage of student get internship in their college period The Roles the company offered like software manager and trainer .
Infrastructure: The Infrastructure of college is good but the hostel for 1st year student were below average not good please check whether if your joining the hostel for 1st year and for 2nd year is good there are 2nos room and4 nos room are available The Wi-Fi connection are good The laboratory are good (not too bad) The college support for sports event also The college hostel food is good Some of the medical facilities only available in college otherwise need go and check with some other clinic .
Faculty: The teachers are kindly manner and all staff well educated and knowledgeable person and teaching quality is good In the course of curriculum event college make an Industrial visit to companies Semester exams in college good not too hard Before they will conduct 2 Internal test for 100 marks the pass mark is 50 .
Other: The marketing team called my parents make some brain wash like we assured that your son will get 100 percent get placement you don? T worry for the money you paying the will be successful in future like that I was joined Course the providing is good but they have to improve more in teaching.
