KEC - Kongu Engineering College Placement overview
There is a placement cell that has been functioning in KEC Erode campus since 1998. The cell interacts with the companies and arranges interviews for campus placement for the final year students. The top course during KEC placements is MCA with 100 per cent placements constantly in the past two years. The institute also arranges internship programmes for students in industries.
Also, according to the verified Shiksha reviews of batch-2019, the highest salary package offered was Rs 40 LPA approximately, for BSc in Computer System and Design. For Mechanical engineering, the highest package offered was Rs 5 LPA. KEC MBA placements need some improvement since the placement record is not impressive (38 per cent). CSE and Mechanical placements have improved year on year and the same is shown in a graph further.

KEC Erode Placement Training
Campus placement training is given in pre-final years for all eligible candidates through
- Consultants for inputs
- Staff for practice
- Placement officer for fine-tuning
- Around 150 hours of training is given to all students as part of campus placement training programme
- The campus conducts soft-skills training programme of 100-hour duration for all pre-final year students through the placement staff
- Conducts online test for the improvement around Quantitative Aptitude, Reasoning, and Verbal Ability
KEC Erode Branch-Wise Placement Trend
In placements 2019, Electrical and Electronics branch, there was a dip of 3 per cent. Otherwise, rest of the branches have performed well in 2019 placement as compared to 2018.
KEC Erode Median Salary Trend
In KEC placements in 2018, it was found that the median salary offered to BE/ BTech students got dipped by Rs 38,000 as compared to placements 2017. This is not a very big difference though.

In placements 2018, the median salary for ME/ MTech also got dipped by around Rs 63,000 as compared to placements 2017.

It is the best in Erode with good infrastructure that comes under 150 top engineering colleges.
Placements: Above 90% of the students get placed every year. The highest salary package offered is 14 LPA and the lowest salary package offered is 2.5 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Wipro, Accenture, and Zoho. Almost 10 to 15% of students got internships. Top roles offered are full stack developer, front end and backend developer.
Infrastructure: We have high-tech laboratories, Mac System, and Windows i7 systems. We have libraries in all departments. We also have a common big library. All the students have permission to take a grant of all the facilities. Coming to the hostel, the environment, food, room, and restroom facilities are very good. We have a dispensary near the hostel for any medical emergencies.
Faculty: Teachers working here are more experienced and knowledgeable people. The teaching quality is very good. The curriculum our department follows is relevant to placements. We follow Bloom's taxonomy and have up to k7 level. Our curriculum is based on the interview questions so it will be useful for placements.

Review for Kongu Engineering college.
Placements: The placements were average. In my course, 95% of the students were placed. Some of the recruiting companies were Cognizant, Flipkart, Byju's, and Amazon. The highest salary offered was 5 Lacs per year, the average salary was 4.2 Lacs, and the lowest salary was 3.6 Lacs per year.
Infrastructure: The college has really good infrastructure. The classrooms are big. The lab facilities are good and a huge number of computers are available in the labs. The library facilities are good and a reading room was in the library for the students. There is a hostel in this college. The quality of food available in the hostel is good.
Faculty: The teachers are very helpful and supportive. They always help me to learn and understand things easily. The teaching techniques are good. It makes the students ready for the industry. The semester exams in this college are moderately tough. The passing percentage in the semester exams is average 70-80%.

I joined this course and also the syllabus due to passion.
Placements: Above 70% of the students are placed from this course. The highest package is 80 LPA, the basic package was 8 LPA and the average package was about 12 LPA. This course offers a large number of opportunities and with a good package. Top recruiting companies are Accenture, IBM, etc.
Infrastructure: Our college infrastructure for my course is better in all categories whether it's in playing, study, laboratory, classrooms, tours, events and industrial visits. The library is good with enough books. Hostel quality is okay to stay. The food was average, with free Wi-Fi in the hostel.
Faculty: Talking about teachers, our college has helpful teachers, teachers that are qualified and knowledgeable. Teaching quality is good with well explained subject topics. The course curriculum is relevant and it makes students industry ready. The time table is followed on daily classes.

Kongu Engineering College is absolutely good college .
Placements: Kongu Engineering College has good placement records, with around 90-95 percentage of students getting placed every year. This college has dedicated placement cell, that hard to bring companies likes Tata motors, teach Mahindra, TCS, Infosys etc. Average salary packages is INR 3-8 Lacs per annum.
Infrastructure: Kongu Engineering College has good infrastructure facilities. The classrooms are more spacious and well maintained, and the laboratories are equipped with modern equipments. The college library is equipped with more recent edition of textbooks. The hostel facilities are good but hostel food is average, limited variety of food is available. Basketball ground is available in the college.
Faculty: Kongu Engineering College faculty members are more experienced and knowledgeable. Especially mechanical department staffs are very friendly. They conduct more practical oriented classes so students quickly understand the lessons. 95 percentage students passed in my batch (2021passed out). The college teachers help us in our final year projects.
Other: Kongu Engineering College is one of the best engineering college, so I select this college. I am choosing mechanical engineering course. This college provide s transportation facilities and free Wi-Fi network facilities. This college conducts many social awareness events in every month. This college gives more scholarships to well studied students.

This is the best college for MCA.
Placements: Our college placements are very good. The percentage of students placed this year is 70%. Companies visiting our college are Infosys, Accenture, Wipro, CTS, ZOHO, Robert Bosch, Payoda, etc. Maximum package is 4 Lacs per annum, and minimum package is 1.5 Lacs per annum. Most of the students are selected for development or examination. Companies also provide internships, and a stipend for an internship is around 15k per month.
Infrastructure: Our college has all kinds of facilities. Transport facilities are good as they provide bus services for long distances. Their teaching method is good. Free Wi-Fi is available. The classrooms are very spacious and have AC. The library is available for hostel students on Sunday. Our college conducts sports leagues. Hostel facilities are very good.
Faculty: Faculty members are well qualified and friendly with students. The course curriculum is under Anna University. The ratio is 30:3. Teaching methods are practical and theoretical. Electives subjects may be open. We can learn our course-related topics in different sections.

Absolutely satisfied because of faculty and goof infrastructure.
Placements: Our course has a placement rate of over 80%, and our college management offers training in aptitude, coding, and communication skills to enhance students' employability. The aptitude sessions are conducted by both college staff and industry professionals. The salary packages range from 3.5lpa to 12lpa, with top companies like Zoho, TCS, and Accenture recruiting our students. Additionally, more than 80% of our students secure internships, with software tester and UI/UX developer being the top roles offered.
Infrastructure: Our college boasts incredible facilities and infrastructure. Each department is equipped with air-conditioned labs, and some blocks even have lifts. Additionally, we take pride in having the second-largest conventional center in Asia for hosting cultural events. The spacious classrooms can accommodate up to 60 students, and the library has its own dedicated block. For accommodation, the hostel offers more than 5 blocks for both boys and girls, and the food provided is of excellent quality. Furthermore, we ensure top-notch medical and sports facilities are available.
Faculty: Teachers possess higher qualifications and impart knowledge in a comprehensible manner. They also provide supplementary learning materials. Regular assessments are conducted, and classes continue in a similar fashion. Undoubtedly, this course is beneficial for acquiring additional computer knowledge. After studying for five years, students are well-prepared to enter the industry. The semester exams are not excessively challenging to pass; with proper studying, one can even achieve marks above the passing threshold of 50%.
Other: The reason for my selection of this course is its integrated nature, and its standout feature is the five-year duration, which allows for a comprehensive understanding of the field. To enhance the course, I propose the regular inclusion of cultural events. Additionally, the department will organize various functions, with a major annual event encompassing the entire college. The campus accommodates approximately 10,000 students, spread across a vast area of 160 acres.
