Overall, KPC Medical College and Hospital is a great choice for students looking for MBBS seats.
Placements: In the MBBS degree, there are no placements but the undergraduate pass-out rates are very high and very admirable. The seniors I know are well-trained and have mostly gotten into good post-graduate colleges. I also hope to get a high scope into a good post-graduate medical school.
Infrastructure: Facilities for students are very good and almost top-class. The lecture halls are air-conditioned with ample space, abundant lighting, fans, and enough windows for ventilation. The canteen named The Tray is very good and provides good food not only for students but also for the visiting people.
Faculty: Faculty members are very good and friendly. They are mostly doctors. They are highly trained and respected. Professors are very helpful and do almost everything to help students become good doctors. Semesters held are a bit tough but this only helps students in their university exams.
Other: I chose MBBS to pursue my father's career and move the line of doctors in our blood. Fests here are of high quality and with great stars appearing over the years.

This college is very affordable and has excellent faculty members.
Placements: The majority of students are placed in MBBS courses. This college also provides nursing courses. All students do their internships here.
Infrastructure: The hostel is very economical. There are no air-conditioned rooms in the hostel. The food served in the mess is average and not suitable for vegetarians. Vegetarians will have to depend on online food services or tiffin systems. Classrooms are good, spacious, and air-conditioned.
Faculty: Teachers are well qualified. The teaching medium is primarily Bengali. Semesters are hard but they are required for you to get ready for the main exam. Professors are skilled doctors and they teach us very sincerely. We also get exposure to patients.
Other: It is an MBBS course so you will eventually end up doing a job.

Bachelor of Medical Laboratory Technology - Batch of 2025

My experience with KPC in two years of my student life!
Placements: In the website, it is mentioned that 90% to 95% of the students get placements, but in real life, there are hardly any recruiters. Some of the cream layer students, the toppers, are merely selected in the hospital itself as our college has a hospital, but most have to search for job interviews in other hospitals, blood banks, or laboratories.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college building is really good; it is very large with all the departments and spacious rooms. The college has a separate library for the students to read in a peaceful environment. In the forest department, we have practical labs where we can do hands-on work to prepare for real-life circumstances.
Faculty: The teachers are really helpful and equipped with technology like green projectors and big hall rooms with audio systems. There is a yearly exam and not semester-wise. On a scale of 1 to 10, I would rate the difficulty of the exams to be around 7 if you study well.
Other: I chose this course because I thought it would be easy to get jobs in this field, but it is not, as the government is only hiring diploma students for low salaries and not bachelor students. There are extracurricular activities in the college going on yearly, such as fests and other programs.

Review of KPC Medical College and Hospital.
Placements: There is no such placement system as engineering. Students who pass the final professional exam start their rotatory internship for one year, after which they can join as junior residents or ICU RMO in various hospitals. They can also prepare for the postgraduate examination.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is good, including large lecture theatres, a library having a large collection of books, and practical labs with efficient lab assistants. Besides that, there is also a central badminton court, a huge playground, and arrangements for TT and carrom in the hostel. This huge campus also has hangout spots like coffee shops and food stalls.
Faculty: All faculty members are very experienced, and care about the academic part. PGTs are also very helpful in guiding students, giving tips and tricks to get good marks even with such a huge syllabus. A total of 9 semesters are there. The preparation seems to make a student ready for the professional examination.

MBBS - Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery - Batch of 2022

Our college gives a mixed bag experience.
Placements: MBBS colleges don't have a placement system like engineering colleges. Students get their permanent practicing number after one year of rotatory housemanship in any accredited medical council college. A basic stipend of Rs.12,500 per month from KPCMCH. After internships, students are free to pursue post-graduation or become junior residents in various departments or can become ICU RMOs or emergency medical officers, or go for rural services. Everyone who passed the final professional exams was an eligible intern in various departments by gaining experience. Around 85% passed the exam on the first attempt.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is good with boys and girls hostels with fee of Rs.3000 per month during the undergraduate years and free during internship period of one year. Quality of food was average in both mess and canteen. Ther is a table tennis board and carrom board in boys hostel. We play cricket, football, volleyball in our college main ground with our equipment. There are annual events of various sports and inter college events. Our annual fest involves a variety of indoor and outdoor sports. Infrastructure cleanliness was top-notch. There was no Wi-Fi and laboratories had mostly faulty microscopes. The lab technicians were very helpful and skilled. Classrooms were large and spacious for the final year with air-conditioners. Rest had normal fans. Library is impressive with spacious tables and a giant collection of books. There was a mini book store adjacent to library with most of our curriculum books and easy xerox provision. Main college building has a badminton court. The whole space of is huge with lots of mini hangout spots like coffee shops and fast food corners. College also has a big pond which has a lot of fishes in store. Campus is huge and have a lot of better infrastructure for future.
Faculty: Teachers are good till 2nd year. They care about academics and are strict about attendance and daily exams. Every subject was a clinical one, helping to learn more things from our seniors and PGTs rather than busy consultants in general. The course curriculum implemented is relevant. The course is not a good material to be industry-ready. There are 9 semesters, that are moderate but easy to pass if you study. Syllabus is a huge burden and nothing is easy without hard work. Pass percentage is 70-75%.
Other: I want to bring a change in a society where the poor is not mistreated or given the same privileged the rich can afford. The best things are friendships and unforgettable memories made for a lifetime. The course has taken its right path currently with new regulations from NBE. But there is so much pressure both from peers and family, that we forget to have a life and should enjoy a bit. Some parents have been very accommodating in understanding the needs of the modern generation but most haven't.
