I am dissatisfied because of poor placement cell.
Placements: There is no placement cell in our college. You have to find job yourselves, and the faculty members or college doesn't care about if you are getting the job or not. None of our batchmates got a job, and all of us are still sitting unemployed. The college claims to have a placement cell, but it's a lie.
Infrastructure: The college is green and clean, and it is very pretty from inside and outside. The library doesn't have air-conditioners working properly, and it smells bad. The washrooms don't have a running water facility despite being a girls' college. Nobody cares about running water and the cleanliness of washrooms.
Faculty: The course curriculum is good for bachelor of education, Intellectual disability. The course has enough practicals to make you future-ready. It teaches you how to handle students with multiple disabilities. You get to work in NGOs, special schools as well as inclusive schools.
Other: The best thing about our course is the practicals that we had. College provides scholarships to students who cannot afford them, but even that's not enough because the money they offer you is just Rs.5000-6000. The fest is well-organised in college and is fun to attend.

I loved my 2 years of journey in the college.
Placements: College have called many esteemed schools for placement. 60% of students got placed from our college with 3 Lacs- 5 Lacs package. But only 2-3 students joined because the schools were mostly from Noida. Also for internship, we were sent to Delhi's most reputed schools.
Infrastructure: For our course, college have given a small area with 3 rooms ( 2 classrooms and 1 staff room). We faced problem during summer as we don't have AC in our classes. Rest the college infrastructure is good. Computer and Wi-Fi facility was there but we cannot use Wi-Fi from our classes as the range was not reachable. Resource rooms were not managed but our teachers.
Faculty: I was not satisfied with the faculty. We had 5 teachers out of which only 2 have course knowledge. Even the marking system was not fair. Students close to the teacher gets high marks (internal) regardless of the answers written. They don't even read our answer sheet and numbers were given on the basis of name of the child only. Sometimes we went to the college, SAT there for the whole day (9-5 PM) but not even a single class was taken. Teachers used to sit in their staff room and we were asked to not to leave the room.

Effectiveness of Placement Cell for B.Sc Programs at Lady Irwin College

From the reviews collected, it appears that the college does not have a dedicated placement cell specifically for B.Sc programs. However, some students mentioned that faculty members assist in providing references for internships and job opportunities.

* No dedicated placement cell for B.Sc programs (multiple reviews)
* Faculty members assist in finding internships and job opportunities (some reviews)

Overall, while there isn't a centralized placement cell for B.Sc students, faculty members play a role in helping students secure internships and jobs. This highlights the importance of individual efforts and networks in securing employment after graduation.
