My college was as similar to that of my school.
Placements: In our course, about 70 percent of students get placed. However, the package ranged between INR 9000 and 11000, which may have increased. Among them top companies were KIA and a Korean Automobile company very new to the market, I cannot recall the name of the company, and also I think there was a mill too. I am not very sure but few of my friends are currently working there and I am very happy about it.
Infrastructure: There was a computer room, but most of the software was outdated, a few systems even Windows were not installed. The teachers were thorough and precise and were always attentive. To be honest it felt more like a school. Like in school we usually don’t have any problem in keeping up with the syllabus taught.
Faculty: Yes, the teachers were helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. Yes, the course was relevant, but does it make students ready for the world I don’t think so. Most of the students didn’t even know how to use MS Office until it was manually taught to them. Teachers were used to this and it didn’t bother them. Personally, it did bother me initially as I used a personal computer since childhood, however, I now think that it's very common not to know the basics of computers but, I still say that it is very concerning.
Other: I chose this course to understand commerce, accounting, the cash flow of money, and how taxation works so that, I could be knowledgeable on these matters. Outdoor activities and management training will help to better socialize with your peers, but that’s just my perspective.
