February 12, 2022: The soon-to-be-launched Lexicon Institute of Hotel Management has partnered with Marriott Hotels India to provide individuals aspiring to a career in hospitality with an employment-driven educational advantage.
The focus of the hotel school is not simply on teaching theoretical knowledge, but on skill development so that each student can live by the motto ‘Believe In Yourself.’ The institute's relationship will be considered as a deliberate attempt to include the sector in cultivating the very people it will employ in the future, in keeping with its objective of creating ‘Day Zero Professionals.’
Marriott India will own a class in the second and third years of the programme, where students will be mentored and provided career advice, as part of the collaboration arrangement. They will also be helped with projects and will be a part of problem-solving teams in their hotels, where they will learn about issues through study and analysis. Senior executives would help in curriculum development, bridging skill gaps that are common in standard Hotel Management programmes.
Students will also benefit from guest lectures and faculty development activities, which will keep students and teachers up to date on the newest developments in the hotel sector. Marriott leadership will support the Lexicon IHM's Executive Leadership Programme, which will assist shape young hospitality hopefuls into confident hospitality professionals.
Lexicon IHM students will also be given priority for internships and placements at Marriott Hotels. All of this will be supported by regular evaluation and performance grading.
Lexicon Institute Of Hotel Management Bags the Best Emerging Hotel Management Institute 2021 Award
January 12, 2022: The Centre for Education Growth and Research named the Lexicon Institute of Hotel Management, the newest member to the Lexicon Group of Institutes, as the Best Emerging Hotel Management Training Institute in 2021. (CEGR). On December 30, 2021, the award was handed during the 16th Rashtriya Shiksha Gaurav Puraskar Ceremony.
With four breakthroughs under its belt, the Centre for Education Growth and Research (CEGR) is India's leading and only education think tank. CEGR's mission is to become the world's top education think tank, assisting governments in adopting policies that benefit society. Lexicon IHM was designated the Best Emerging Hotel Management Institute for Training by the CEGR.
