Q:   Is M.A. at Loyola College a good choice?

A:
{Source: M.A. students & alumni}

Based on the feedback from students and alumni, here's a summary of the pros and cons:

Pros:

* Good faculty with many having Ph.D.s and industry experience
* Course curriculum is regularly updated to reflect current trends and developments
* Placements are decent, with many companies visiting the campus, including top names like Infosys, Wipro, and ICICI Bank
* Average package offered ranges from INR 3-10 LPA
* Scholarships are available for deserving students
* Campus life is vibrant, with many events and festivals organized throughout the year
* Facilities like digital classrooms, libraries, and sports infrastructure are well-maintained
* Hostel life is comfortable, with options for vegetarian and non-vegetarian meals

Cons:

* Placement rates could be better, with some students feeling disappointed with the offers received
* While many companies visit the campus, the salaries offered may not be as high as expected
* Limited seats available in hostels, with only 5 students from each department admitted
* Some teachers' performance may not be up to par, particularly those in aided posts

Overall, while M.A. at Loyola College has its strengths, it may not be perfect for everyone. However, those seeking extremely high-paying job offers or a more extensive range of job opportunities may want to explore other options.

Overall, the best college for M.A. in Media Arts Course.
Placements: Nearly 65% of the pupils in our study made progress. The maximum pay that was given was 10 LPA. 3 LPA was the lowest wage that was provided. DNEG, Technicolor, MPC Film, and other major hiring firms are among them. Companies such as Lakshya Digital hired over 55% of the students for internships. Among the most sought-after positions are those of animator and art director.
Infrastructure: Facilities in labs and classrooms are good. The library is the greatest. The library has numerous resources and a large collection of books written by both Indian and foreign authors. During business hours, they offer medical services. There are a lot of sports they play. The facilities in the canteen are quite good. Projectors are found in classrooms.
Faculty: In addition to the classes, there are departmental networking opportunities, and the lecturers have extensive teaching experience. For the pupils, the groups plan sessions. The staff members' teaching methods are clear and effective. The pass percentage for semester examinations is 73%, and they are easy to score.

An honest review of Loyola College for M.A. in History.
Placements: 65% of students were placed with a package of around 2-4 LPA with roles as banker and lecturer in one of the top-notch banks. Nonetheless, there were no internships offered for the outgoing students, which provided more opportunities for the students, which could help them find better jobs.
Infrastructure: The classrooms are well-equipped with smart classes as well as full-paced libraries. The hostels are available for boys and girls separately, with a gym, tennis court, and a mess serving 3 meals a day, which is sumptuous and offers a variety of meals.
Faculty: The teachers of the history department are highly qualified, guiding every student in every way. There are fests organized every year for every department and also the most-awaited ovations, which are the highlight of the city every year where famous Tollywood actors and celebrities are invited and every student gets the opportunity to showcase their talents.
Other: I chose the course to get exposure to all the activities happening on and around the campus and also the very qualified history department. The course feels is also not too high and is affordable. There is no doubt that the history department has highly qualified teachers, but I just wish that they extended the department more and provided more placement opportunities. Overall, Loyola College offers many interesting and unique programs and courses to study and is truly a college of every student's dreams.

Food taste in canteens is average; in hostels, it is less.
Faculty: Teachers provided in my college are educated, good, helpful, and knowledgeable, and the quality of their teaching style is understandable by the students with fluent English . Semester exams are written well and get a good percentage; the pass percentage is also high.

Short Summary of Loyola College.
Placements: From the 3rd semester onwards in M.A. Economics, students with all clear subjects sit for campus placements. Companies like Wipro, Infosys, TCS, ICICI Bank, Avasoft, and TNB Bank recruit many students. The highest package offered is 2.5 LPA, and the placement rate is lower than expected. Many companies conduct interviews but do not announce the results.
Infrastructure: Every year, big events like Ovations are celebrated on the college campus, and the administration is always keen on achieving the holistic development of students. Sports Day and Arts Day are two major events. We have separate labs for every department. The hostel has limited seats; only 5 students from every department get admitted. Both girls' and boys' hostels promise average mess food, but the non-vegetarian food is very tasty.
Faculty: The faculty is generally good, with most of them being experienced. However, their teaching quality is inconsistent. Some teachers are in aided posts and may not be efficient in teaching. The course duration is 2 years, and the syllabus changes every 2 years. The exam papers are quite easy, with some questions repeating from the past 4 years, making it easier to pass all exams.
Other: The college fee is INR 11,500 for the first year and INR 12,500 for the second year. Apart from this, students benefit from scholarships.
