B.Sc. in Nursing - Batch of 2021
4.6

I am satisfied with the teaching, coaching, etc.
Placements: I passed out in 2021. We had campus recruitment from various multi-specialty hospitals like Sri Ramachandra Hospital, Apollo Hospitals, and SRM Institute of Medical Science. The campus interview experience is very good. About 84 out of 100 students got selected in the campus recruitment process. The average salary offered by Ramachandra Hospital is Rs. 17,000 per month for a staff nurse with no experience. Apollo Hospitals offers a salary of Rs. 15,000 per month for a fresher in nursing. The campus interviews held by our college are very good. During the pandemic period, also they tried their level best to conduct the campus interviews and help the students.
Infrastructure: Our college has a good infrastructure to run a nursing course. It has good labs like a medical surgical nursing lab, fundamental lab, nutritional lab, psychiatric lab, pediatric lab, community health nursing lab, obstetrics, and gynecology lab. It has a good library and classrooms. Classrooms are very spacious, ventilated with good light and teaching facilities like projectors. The hostel is average. The menu plan is not great, and it charges Rs. 65,000 per annum for the food in the hostel. The canteen has a schedule for the food. But it is not a great menu plan.
Faculty: Teachers are well-qualified. I think we are lucky to have Dr. B. Tamilirasi mam, as our principal mam who has vast experience in nursing and college management. She had an experience of 23 years in this college. Other teachers also have very good experience in teaching. They also plan for clinical postings regularly and periodically. We go for the PHCs in Kundrathur and Mangadu, Institute of Mental Health, and Government Hospital Chrompet for various postings. Transport facilities are available for the students to go for the postings. Semester exams are not very difficult if you study the subjects. You can achieve a pass percentage of 38% out of 100%. It's easy to study nursing and clear the exams.
Other: I have chosen this course because I have an interest in the medical field. Nursing is a great course to study, which provides care for the needed people with love and faith. I would say that those who study nursing are blessed because no one can provide and take care of the newborn baby except nurses. In the hostel, it should provide proper toilet facilities and purified water. In a mess, the food pattern should be reviewed periodically with the student's representatives and changed accordingly.

It is the best place to study a nursing course in Chennai.
Placements: The placements are provided at Apollo Hospital, Ramachandra Hospital, and Miot Hospital, among other top hospitals. 90% of students selected more hospitals at the same time. Not only hospitals are coming, but medical coding companies are also coming and selecting people. This course has a lot of job opportunities.
Infrastructure: There are four years of duration. They send more people for training each year, according to subject. Hostels are good by nature. Food accommodations are also good. They maintain a clean environment both inside and outside. Security is always here on campus, and without their knowledge, no one can enter or exit.
Faculty: Mentors are well trained. Mentor-mentee relationships were maintained well. They separate the time allocated for the examination (special class). Semester is not easy but acceptable for everyone. Teachers are very helpful, qualified, well-trained, and knowledgeable people.
Other: Placement, cultural events, internships, and trainings are well organized. Mentors are well trained by institutions before reaching students. Caste-wise scholarships are also provided.
