Average placements in 2016-17, good infrastructure and facilities, fruitful campus life.

Placements: Placements are pretty good in this college primarily because it is a university department of the leading university in the state of Tamil Nadu. A lot of core companies look forward to recruiting skilled students. But, they are very selective and want nothing less than highly talented and knowledgeable students. For example, students from the electronics and instrumentation department are recruited by top-notch companies like Shell, Caterpillar, Cypress Semiconductors, Microchip (which are all e...

MIT is one of the most reputed colleges in South India. Established in 1949 by Rajam, it was initially an autonomous institution later affiliated to Anna University. The college is known for the departments like Electronics and Instrumentation, Automobile Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering. It also has strong alumni base. Few of the notable alumni are Dr. Abdul Kalam, Sujatha (Writer). So all in all MIT is a great place to be in for Engineering.

MIT was more of a second home to me than just my college. To have graduated from an institute which had the likes of our late President, Dr. A.P.J Abdul Kalam as one of its most illustrious alumni is definitely something that evokes a sense of pride in me even till this date. I'll forever be grateful to this quaint place which has shaped me to the person that I am today.

MIT, is a place which enables you to become what you aspire in your life. The College has limited number of seats in each department which helps the Professors to concentrate more on each student. The Exams are purely based on testing the concepts which the students have learnt from the classroom lectures, rather than a usual theory paper. Apart from studies, the college offers various classes to enhance our skills like foreign language, dance, and sports. It is a perfect choice for a person who...

You create a kind of bonding with your fellow mates, your tutors and other people in the administrative duty of the college which will last forever and which invites you with an ever-grinning smile whenever you visit the institution after you finish your course. Dr.A.P.J Abdul Kalam, former president is our esteemed senior. Our college is one of the few colleges which offers aeronautical engineering. Such an old institution, it carried its reputation throughout the years. The college houses competitive cross-section of more than 950-1200 students. There is a good mix of students from different parts of the country. Students have a very healthy atmosphere to learn and interact here. Seniors are supportive and there is no kind of ragging done here.

MIT is a college where you can get a job just by having your score card clean (without history). As for ECE, you should work hard to get into a core job. If you are a merited student, then your fees is going to be dead cheap. No appreciable hostel and mess. The faculty and the resources are plenty if you know how to use them for your betterment.

It's a beautiful world, I learned a lot. Got a lot of things. Knowledge about studies, out of studies, friends, senior junior relationships, sports events, cultural etc. Words cannot be enough, in odd semester worry about studies. But in the even semester, all students of our college shines like a festival street. Individual department symposiums, activities, competing projects, placements gives a beautiful experience.
