Q:   Is it worth pursuing BBA LL.B. at Maharaja Agrasen Institute of Management Studies?

    A:
    {Source: BBA LL.B. students & alumni}

Based on student reviews and feedback, here's a summary of the pros and cons:

    Pros:
    * Renowned institution for BBA and Law programs
    * Good infrastructure, with modern facilities and a clean environment
    * Opportunities for extracurricular activities, including festivals and sports
    * Access to a library and computer lab
    * Faculty members are generally knowledgeable and helpful
    * Good placements, although not exceptional, with some students securing packages up to 10 LPA

    Cons:
    * Limited practical training and hands-on experience for law students
    * No scholarship system for meritorious students except for reserved categories
    * High fees, with limited options for financial assistance
    * No emphasis on preparing students for industry demands
    * Some students reported poor behavior among peers, leading to a negative atmosphere in the hostels
    * Limited internships and placements, with some companies offering low salaries

Overall, pursuing a BBA LL.B. at Maharaja Agrasen Institute of Management Studies might be suitable for those looking for a reputable institution with modern facilities. However, students should be aware of the limitations in terms of practical training, scholarships, and industry preparation. Additionally, the institution's placement record and faculty support may not be exceptionally strong.

Recommendation: Interested students should carefully weigh these factors and consider visiting the college to get a better sense of the institution's strengths and weaknesses. While MAIMS may offer a solid foundation in business and law, students seeking a more comprehensive education or stronger industry connections might want to explore other options.

Q:   Question: How is the course curriculum for BBA LL.B. at Maharaja Agrasen Institute of Management Studies?

    A:
    {Source: BBA LL.B. students & alumni}

Course Curriculum Structure for BBA LL.B at Maharaja Agrasen Institute of Management Studies

Here's a summary of how the course curriculum is structured for BBA LL.B at Maharaja Agrasen Institute of Management Studies:

    * Teaching Curriculum: The course curriculum follows the Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU) syllabus.
    * Syllabus Completion: The syllabus is completed on time, indicating efficient teaching and organization.
    * Practical Experience: Although the curriculum does not provide much practical experience, the institute offers various opportunities for co-curricular activities and extracurricular events, such as festivals and competitions.
    * Exam System: Semester exams are held regularly, and passing percentage requirements are around 45%. External exam papers are checked by teachers from other colleges.

It appears that the course curriculum focuses on theoretical knowledge, with limited emphasis on practical skills and industry readiness. While the institute provides opportunities for extracurricular activities, it may be essential for students to seek additional training or internships to gain hands-on experience in their field of interest.

Effectiveness of Placement Cell for BBA LL.B. Programs at Maharaja Agrasen Institute of Management Studies

Based on student reviews and feedback, here's what we found out:

    * Top Recruiting Companies: Top companies like Hindustan Times and Times of India visit the campus for recruitment.
    * Placement Opportunities: The top 10 students in the batch receive priority in placement opportunities.
    * Supportive Placement Cell: The placement cell organizes placement and internship fairs to facilitate job searches for students.
    * Limited Practical Experience: Although the placement cell supports students, the law programme does not provide extensive practical training.

In summary, the placement cell appears to be effective in arranging job opportunities for BBA LL.B. students, particularly for the top performers in the batch. However, more emphasis could be placed on providing hands-on practical training to better equip students for the workforce.

Glimpse about MAIMS as a law college.
Placements: Last year, 50-60 percent of students were placed. The highest package was, I guess, 12 lakhs per annum. Top recruiters were Luthra and Luthra office's in India. Internships are not conducted; we have to get that on our own . Basically, many of them were placed as senior executives due to high scores .
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is good in the college; the building is inaugurated two weeks ago only; it was live on news channel. No doubt, college infrastructure is pretty good; the campus is also beautiful; all classrooms, libraries, and labs are fully AC. I don't know about hostels because none of my friends are from there.
Faculty: The faculty of BBA is average but for LLB subjects, they are pretty good and understanding teachers. There are many industrial visits beside theory; there are also many practical for the practice of a lawyer. Semester exams are a little difficult but if you have good relations with teachers, they'll give good marks in internal.
Other: I chose this course because I am passionate about law and I didn't score well in class, so I took IPU as an option. I wish that subjects should be less because it's become difficult to study 7-8 subjects per semester.

    Good Placements with beautiful campus.
Placements: The placements are average with top companies recruiting like Deloitte, TCS, and Infosys. The highest package goes to 12 LPA, while the lowest is around 3.5 LPA. Around 65% of students secure jobs or internships. Roles offered include business analyst, marketing executive, HR specials, and finance associate, aligning with industry needs. Also, major law firms give internships to students at AIMS.
Infrastructure: Our college provides outstanding facilities, featuring modern classrooms, advanced labs, a comprehensive law library, and dependable IT support. The campus includes secure hostels, sports amenities, green space, well-equipped auditoriums, and medical services. It also boasts a moot court room for practical training.
Faculty: The curriculum is covered with the latest topics which are in the world giving a major experience to the students, the difficulty of the semester exam is also moderate, and the passing percentage is also 70%, making the passing criteria also achievable. The teachers are knowledgeable with Ph.D. degrees.

    College review and placement review.
Placements: It should work on increasing the average package offered. The placement cell can also try and get in touch with more reputable law firms and lawyers if I talk about my course specifically since I am not aware of the other courses. Secondly, internships are a great kickstart for your career, but when it comes to internships, the college faculty doesn't really seem interested or trying their best in assisting students there. Especially in the first internships of most of the students, they don't have any proper guidance as to how to get a good internship. So yes, they should focus on that.
Infrastructure: First of all, I would like to suggest that there should be an open Wi-Fi system for the students on campus. Speaking strictly about MAIMS, they should add more books and expand the library like the one they have in MAIT. As for the classrooms, sports, and medical facilities, I have no complaints or any input for that.
Faculty: One thing that could be really beneficial for the students is if they get more exposure to the practical aspects of their field. It will make the students industry-ready if they know beforehand or have the basic idea of the work culture they will later be dealing with.

Helpful teachers and available books in libraries.
Placements: Placement of our college is moderate if you have done good amount of internships have good marks and also have good skills, then you can easily get the placements our college does not have top recruiters but for gaining experience, you can easily have placements with good skills .
Infrastructure: Everything is very good. The library has a wide variety of books, we have a huge group for sports activities as well, the canteen has good hygienic food, and the medical facilities are also up to the mark, with good Wi-Fi and network connection and a good working environment.
Faculty: Teachers are very supportive; they provide good notes; courses also have a good curriculum with a moderately difficult passing percentage; 40% marks are needed for one to clear the semester; our semester exams are not conducted in the college; we have allotted different centers.

Reviewing college campus and placement opportunities.
Placements: The highest package is 10 lacs per annum, and the lowest is up to 2 lacs as per last year. The placement rate is good. Placement cell or placement programs are conducted every year where several companies come and select students as per their skills. This helps instill a feeling of pride among students by being selected from the campus itself.
Infrastructure: The campus is good, clean, and green, with 4 canteens on the campus. Also, there are several courts for physical training, and the library services are good. MAIMS is a 9-story building where there are several departments such as law, business administration, bachelors of mass communication and journalism, and economic honours. It also includes Wi-Fi services.
Faculty: The faculty of MAIMS is very good and supportive; they are always welcoming, which makes students clear their concepts thoroughly. With their proper guidance and clarity in concepts, students can come out with flying colors. Teachers also provide notes, but self-study is an important tip to clear your semester exams.

Infrastructure- Quite good and satisfactory ( Only ground is small ) .
Placements: The highest package is 10 LPA ( off campus ) the lowest Package: 2-3 LPA Law firms: 3rd-tier firms because obviously Its not an NLU or a government college. I exactly don't know the percentage of students who got placement but it is not 50%; it may be 20–30%, which is common in other private law colleges. Most of the students don't take interest in on-campus placement.
Infrastructure: 1) There is a proper library, Classroom and labs 2) I don't live in college hostel so I don't have much idea about it but I am in touch with some hostel students. Mess is good but the crowd is not good there and the charges are too high. If you could afford it, then its fine for you. 3) Medical staff is present in the college; 3 canteens are there; Sports ground is not too big; and there are trials conducted for selection of a person to represent his/her college in tournaments.
Faculty: The teachers are qualified and knowledgeable, but, to be honest, they are not actually that helpful. Proper queries are not taken; the main aim is to finish the lectures somehow before the exams. ? The law department has a moot court committee, a legal aid cell, an ADR cell, etc., which is necessary in law colleges nowadays. But apart from that, there are no quizzes or practice tests to prepare the students for the future. Only one internal exam is conducted, in which 2 units are asked, and then the main external exam. ? The external exam paper is checked by a teacher from another college, so it has nothing to do with our college. The exam sheet directly goes to the main GGSIPU campus, where it is allotted to different colleges. ? The life is very different from government NLU colleges because here the students are actually not taught practical skills to get a job in the future.
Other: There is no scholarship system in this college. Only If you fall into the SC, ST, or EWS categories, then only that will be applicable. ? Crowding is also not fine. Some students openly shoot, argue, or indulge in fights, and the department doesn't care about it and takes strict action. ? The metro station is 3–4 km away from the college, so there is no chance of walking directly from the college to the metro station. ? Fests happen in the college and are conducted by different college societies. ? Events happen on some particular occasions, like IPR Day, Lawyer's Day, etc., in the college auditorium.
