Course Curriculum for B.Sc. at Maharashtra College of Arts Science And Commerce

Based on student reviews, the course curriculum for B.Sc. at Maharashtra College of Arts Science And Commerce seems to focus on providing a solid foundation in various subjects related to science. However, the curriculum may not entirely prepare students for direct industry placement.

Here's what students have to say about the course structure:

    * Foundation courses: While some students felt that the exams were easy, others mentioned that the course helped build a strong foundation for further studies.
    * Labs and practicals: Although lab equipment might not be up-to-date, lab assistants are reportedly knowledgeable and precise in their work.
    * Teaching staff: Faculty members are accessible and reliable, ensuring each concept is well-understood.
    * Syllabus alignment: The course curriculum appears to follow the syllabus set by the university, although some students noted that it does not necessarily align with industry standards.

Overall, while the course curriculum may have its strengths and weaknesses, it provides a solid educational foundation for those pursuing higher education or entry-level positions in various scientific fields.

    Review of Maharashtra College
Placements: 89% of students received placements in companies such as TCS, Wipro, Toothsi, and Skinsi. The roles were junior web developer and quality analyst; some were marketing jobs as well. I went through a bachelor's in IT, so I mostly looked for technical roles. Overall, it was a good placement drive conducted by our college.
Infrastructure: There were many such facilities in the college, such as WiFi access that was available. We had classrooms in all the classes, and the labs were well-managed and organized with good-quality chairs. There were all kinds of devices and PCs for us to operate on. We could get hands-on experience. We live in a hostel because I live in my house.
Faculty: To be honest, from the IT faculty, the teachers were not so good and guided the students well, especially the HOD of our IT department, who was not at all helpful with our project submissions. Also, the exams were easy regarding the syllabus; it was good for us to be industry-ready, but it did build foundation courses for us.
Other: I chose a BSc in information and technology because getting into a technical field and backend technology services would increase the syllabus relevance to the modern and updated technology world. Foundation building is necessary, but we need to be updated with modern technologies as well. We had Parvaaz Fest because it had everything from the technical department to the elective department as well.

Our college has good faculty members and provides internships.
Placements: We don't have great jobs, but our course is great for further studies. A B.Sc. degree allows students to pursue careers in a variety of fields, not just science.
Infrastructure: The college is currently under renovation, so we can expect it to get better from the outside as well. The campus is good, with a canteen. The gymkhana has indoor games which can be played by anybody. The quality of classrooms is average. Labs are not well-equipped, but they are fine for the courses offered here. There are canteens. We have computers in the library. The library is well-maintained and has adequate books.
Faculty: Faculty members are easy to get to whenever we face problems. They are reliable and make sure each concept is well understood. They also advised us on the future. The course curriculum is great. Lab assistants are knowledgeable and precise in their work, with a great knowledge of practicals and components used.
Other: The college is affordable. Events are conducted. They conduct fun activities at the events and fests, which surely take the stress out of us. The surroundings are filled with greenery, with parks and trees nearby. It has stations and bus stops nearby, which make it easy to reach.

    Maharashtra College as it is.
Placements: Only 40-50% of students get placements in the campus drive. Packages start from 2.2 LPA to 4 LPA, varying from company to company. TCS and Tootsi are some of the companies that participate in the campus placement drive at this college. There are rarely any internship opportunities offered throughout the course.
Infrastructure: The faculty is average; it can't be said it's one of the best but it's manageable. Classrooms are compact with a shortage of seats for students. All labs and classrooms are air-conditioned (only in the IT&CS Department building). The canteen is the worst aspect of the college with little to no room for students as it should be compared to the entire college.
Faculty: The teachers are well qualified for their respective roles and classes. The course itself doesn't make students industry-ready as the syllabus provided by the university isn't at an industry level. The semester exams are above average; they are not very difficult, but one can fail if not taken seriously.

It is the best college with a comfortable environment.
Placements: Placements are good. More than 75% of students are placed in 2022. The highest salary package offered by IBM is 5 LPA. The college will make students job-ready. Many companies like TCS, Infosys, and Accenture visit our college. There is a community for placements.
Infrastructure: There are air-conditioned classrooms with comfortable seats. There is a comfortable and clean environment for studying. Projectors are available in every classroom. Computer labs are available. A Wi-Fi facility is also available. A canteen is available with fresh foods and proper hygiene. There is a water cooler.
Faculty: Teachers are highly qualified. Interaction between students and teachers is very good. Teachers make sure students get every concept right and prepare themselves for the board examination. The passing percentage for the exam is 35%. The way of teaching is very good.
Other: I am a learner who is passionate about making a career in computers and technology. I chose this course based on my interest in computers and computing. My goal is to get a job in the field of web development.

This college provides the best 3 years that students have experience.
Placements: Around 50% of students were placed in our course. The average salary package offered was 3 LPA. Wipro was the top recruiting company. The maximum salary package offered was 5 LPA. This college called a company for an interview after graduation, if students cracked the interview then the company select them directly.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure was average. It provides Wi-Fi, air-conditioned, comfortable seat, and the food served in the canteen was average. The computer science laboratory was excellent in this college.
Faculty: Teachers were great, and helpful in every step. They were also knowledgeable. In exams students cannot cheat easily, if students find doing that then teachers tear students' papers and make them fail.
Other: The future is bright in computer science that's why I opted for this course.
