Placements are average here, but faculty members are very good.
Placements: I am in the final year of electrical engineering at Mahatma Gandhi Engineering College. IT companies visit our college for placements. The previous year, approximately 44-45 students were selected for placements, and the salary package offered was 2.5 LPA.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi facility and library facility are available in our college. Classrooms are very good, and the canteen facility is also available in our college. Sports like cricket, badminton, and other games are available for playing. Chemistry lab and electronics lab are very good for performing experiments.
Faculty: Our branch faculty members are good and teach us well. They work hard for us. There are experienced faculty members. Many faculty members for computers, chemistry, electrical machine, and circuit analysis, are available. They teach us in many different ways so that we can clear our exams.
Other: I am interested in the electrical field, so I have chosen the electrical engineering branch. I work hard for our branch. Scholarship facility is available in our college. Events are organised here, and the fee structure of our course is Rs. 70,000 per annum.

The college is the temple of excellence for the students.
Placements: The placement for our batch is not well, but our senior batch, the placements are good in the leading companies. The companies like Sony, Infosys, Systek, Mahindra, etc., visit the college for the placement. The students got 3-6 LPA package from the companies. Around, 55%-60% of the students got the internship. The average stipend is Rs. 13,000 per month. There is a placement cell, which is helpful to us.
Infrastructure: The college is situated in the green campus. The buildings of the college are well-interior. The students take all the facilities from the college, which are well-maintained by the college staff. The college has the classrooms, library, canteen, sports ground, indoor sports, Wi-Fi, labs, etc. There is 24*7 power back-up in the college. The hostel rooms for the students are good, and we enjoyed our hostel life in that.
Faculty: In our college, the faculty members playing a great role in the student's life as they understand the feeling of students firstly and teaches according to that. The faculty members are well-qualified. They focus on the practicals mostly. Time to time, they provide the industry knowledge to the students, and the students visit the industries. The curriculum is useful.
Other: The college holds an annual fest every year, which is named as Radiance. Every year, the sports fest is held. The college is directly connected to the city by the city buses and the other transport facilities by the national highway. The college provides the scholarship to the meritorious students and the category students as per the government rules.

Good college for average students.
Placements: Recently, several IT companies visited the college for placements. Among which Sony, Genpact, Systweak Support, Vodafone are the major hiring companies. In 2016, 45 students were selected in Vodafone and seven students in Sony. The placement percentage is always average in the college. Last year, it was 45%. The highest salary offered to the students was 6.5 LPA. The average salary offered was between 3 LPA to 4 LPA.
Infrastructure: The Wi-Fi facility is available in college. The labs and library rooms are in good condition. All the necessary equipment are available. The library room contains 1000 books related to engineering. Medical facilities are available, but I never saw any medical assistant there. Sports are encouraged in this college. The students are encouraged to play cricket, football. The hostel facility is still not available, but it is under construction. The food in the canteen is not good.
Faculty: The faculty of the college are very supportive. Every teacher in the college tries to resolve the problems of the students as much as they can. Mostly, teachers are M.Tech holders, and few are even PhD holders. The student to faculty ratio is 60:1. RTU designed the course curriculum. Hence it is useful.
Other: Mahatma Gandhi college is a good college overall, for an average student. But if you want to get the quality of education to get placed in good companies then I would not suggest this college. This is my genuine and serious opinion. The education quality is good, but the standard doesn't qualify the needs of higher companies. This college can give you a degree and knowledge too, but you will not be able to apply that knowledge practically. Besides this, the college also facilitates the fee exemption for SC, ST candidates which are very helpful for financially lower people.

This college is not good for a better future.
Placements: There are almost nill placements because our college hasn't provided a quality education. Our college gives many advertisements for placements and mentions that many companies like Sony, L&T, Mecon India Limited, Steel Authority of India Limited offer placements, but in reality, it doesn't provide. It is the worst college.
Infrastructure: This college puts minimum investment on infrastructure, and at least it does not have its own hostel. On our campus, there is only one small playground and spread about 500 square feet. The practical lab doesn't have sufficient equipment for students, and lab assistants also don't have knowledge about them.
Faculty: Our college faculty members are under-qualified to teach, and even our seniors are conducting classes. Teachers also do not have knowledge of subjects. Only first-year faculty members are good, and after this year, faculty members will not attend college on most of the days.
Other: Less festivals are organised in our college. Our college location is the worst as it is situated out of the city.
