Q:   Where can a candidate find Manipal School of Allied Health Sciences cut off?

A:

Finding the Manipal School of Allied Health Sciences (MCHS) cut-off depends on the specific programme and admission year you're interested in. Here are three avenues to explore:

1.Official Sources :  Visit the official MCHS website (manipal.edu/mchs) and navigate to the "Admissions" section. Look for the specific programme you're interested in and check if past cut-off information is available. They might provide brochures or reports with previous year's cut-offs.

Admission Prospectus: Download the latest admission prospectus for your desired course. It often includes cut-offs from previous admission rounds.

2. Online Resources: Shiksha.com: This website provides comprehensive information on Indian colleges, including MCHS. Search for your desired programme and check the "Cut-offs" tab. They usually list past year cut-offs for various entrance exams accepted by MCHS.

Q:   Can I get into Manipal School of Allied Health Sciences with 50% in 12th?

A:

Unfortunately, guaranteeing admission to Manipal School of Allied Health Sciences (MCHS) solely based on a 50% score in 12th is challenging. Here's why:

Entrance Exams: MCHS considers entrance exams like MET (Manipal Entrance Test) for various programs. Scoring well in the specific entrance exam for your desired programme significantly impacts your chances.

Program Specificity:Cut-offs can vary substantially across different MCHS programs. Some programs might be more competitive due to higher demand or limited seats, demanding higher scores even for admission consideration.

Competition:MCHS attracts numerous qualified applicants, meaning competition can be fierce, and just meeting the minimum eligibility (50%) might not be enough.

However, don't lose hope! Here's what you can do:

Check specific programme cut-offs: Research the cut-offs for your desired MCHS programme for the latest admission year on the official website or platforms like Shiksha.com. Aim for a score exceeding the previous year's cut-off.

Focus on entrance exams: Prepare diligently for the relevant entrance exam like MET. Consider joining coaching classes or utilizing online resources to maximize your score.

Remember, a 50% score in 12th forms only one part of the admission puzzle. Focus on excelling in the entrance exams and showcasing your potential through well-written application essays and relevant extracurriculars.

Satisfied with the faculty and facilities available.
Placements: Even though the majority of students choose to do MPT after this, quite a number go for jobs. For example, out of 10, at least 6 get jobs. From what I have heard, the highest salary is 45,000, and the lowest is about 10,000-15,000, average of about 25,000. You can easily get jobs at NGOs, private clinics, etc. Everyone in the course gets a 6-month internship, which is a part of the course.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is good. There are different labs and classrooms and all sorts of equipment available, everything that you would need to study to operate at a real hospital. A university library is present on campus as well. Different types of hostels are available for your choice; there are AC and non-AC rooms with attached or separate washrooms single/double/triple sharing. Mess food is 5/10; it is edible but not so great. Medical care is available for all students at Kasturba Hospital, and Arena is a sports center that is open to students, with a gym and different sports like basketball, table tennis, badminton, etc., available.
Faculty: Teachers are well-qualified and knowledgeable. They are understanding and will help you out with whatever doubts you have. The course curriculum is one of the best that I know of; it divides subjects into different semesters and is a good way of learning. Regarding exams, we have 3 per semester: first internals, second internals, and then the end-of-semester exam.

Best student life. Amazing
Placements: The year I passed out, only one recruiting company came, for my department to be precise. Only Philips came forward for placements and nobody else. But there were support from faculties regarding any job openings. Since we had hands on clinical training, it gives us an advantage.
Infrastructure: Something amazing is the infrastructure, college with such qualities are very less in India, atleast when I joined in back in 2020. Classrooms were really top notch, with smart boards and air conditioned. Library is huge, 6 floors. Hostel is available in different types according to your budget and needs.
Faculty: Hands on clinical training is something spectacular about the college, nowhere in India would a paramedical course would get you such exposure. Teachers were really helpful, but there were still a a bit push and pull which we needed to crack. The pass percentage is peace.
Other: Campus life is top notch. Nothing as compared to any other place.

Cardiovascular technology is a great course in my college because of the clinical exposure we get.
Placements: About 90% of students got placed in reputed hospitals, with an average salary for B.Sc. CVT being 25-30k. We are provided with internships at Kasturba Hospital Manipal for a year. After that, we are appointed as cardiovascular technologists, echocardiographers, or cath lab technologists.
Infrastructure: The facilities and infrastructure here are excellent. We have classrooms equipped with smart boards, and there is also a cardiac demonstration lab where lecturers conduct classes. The quality of food is good and hygienic, and the hostel facilities are also satisfactory.
Faculty: The faculty members are knowledgeable and approachable for any doubts or clarifications. They encourage us to participate in co-curricular activities. The difficulty level of exams is medium, and we use an e-pad system for writing exams. The pass percentage is 50%.
Other: CVT is a unique course that allows us to explore heart conditions, providing significant clinical exposure where we learn about heart diseases. That’s why I chose CVT. There are also many extracurricular activities conducted in the college.
