MACE in my point of view?
Placements: Well, our college has excellent placement records, providing an average package of around 3.5 Lacs per annum to higher packages like 16-18 Lacs per annum. Around 65 percent of students are getting placed in our course, and core companies like Bosch, Toyota, and Rather, and technical companies like TCS, Wipro, IBM, etc. are approaching our campus to hire for their companies.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is quite desirable. A well-organized management is functioning, which makes the college activities so smooth. The hostel is very efficient, and the quality of food is impressive. We have a very good sports history, including a good football team and cricket team.
Faculty: Teachers of MACE are well-qualified, and most of them are IITians. But the sincerity of some teachers towards finishing their subjects is questionable. The course curriculum is very relevant. The semester exams can sometimes be difficult or sometimes it's easy. Speaking about my class, only one or two students fail to pass any papers.
Other: Well, I chose mechanical engineering because I was always into automobiles, and I knew that choosing mechanical engineering would give me descriptive knowledge about such machines and their workings, etc. About 75 percent of the course is applicable to real-world applications. As of my knowledge, there are no scholarships provided by the college management except for government-based financial aid like eGrantz, and other scholarships for minority sections, etc.

Completely satisfied about the college, placements, faculty members, and activities.
Placements: Almost 45% of students from the mechanical engineering department are placed in good companies like TATA, TCS, Bosch, etc., at good roles like assistant engineer, designer, etc. The top package for last year was 14.2 LPA, the average is 9 LPA, and the lowest is 5 LPA. We have done internships at Kalkitech, and the final-year students are doing internships at KMRL, BPCL, etc.
Infrastructure: Our college is known for sports and games, so we have a 400m track, various game courts, an indoor stadium, and a helipad. Free campus Wi-Fi is available, smart classrooms, good laboratories, and workshops, etc. I'm staying in the men's hostel, the rooms are clean and tidy, the mess menu is amazing, and the food quality is good.
Faculty: Since mechanical engineering is a core branch, it is a difficult course. But those * are passionate about machines, who can join for this course. The teachers are well-qualified from IITs and foreign universities. The faculty members are very friendly and they are very helpful for the competitions. We have 2 internal exams and 1 final university exam in a semester. Our pass percentage is 74%. The faculty members make us ready for the industry jobs.
Other: I chose this course because I love machines. The best thing is MACE is well-known for the mechanical engineering department because we got top ranks in the national competitions held by SAE and ASME. We have Takshak - the tech fest in the odd semester and Sanskriti - the arts fest in the even semester. Both the fests are 3-day celebrations with pro shows and DJ parties.

A review of Mar Athanasius College of Engineering.
Placements: My batch is good, but there has been a gradual decrease in placements since I joined this college. Top recruiting companies like Bosch, Ascender, etc. offer at least 5-8 LPA based on the student's skills. However, I must say that the placements are just okay.
Infrastructure: The quality is just okay for the hostel and faculty members. There are other colleges that provide better infrastructure and hostel facilities. However, the faculty members are highly talented. In these circumstances, I would not recommend anyone join this college. Nevertheless, the college is one of the best colleges in Kerala.
Faculty: Teachers are highly qualified and talented, having graduated from top colleges like IITs and NITs. They also teach the curriculum relevantly and make the students industry-ready. The semester exams are good, and the pass percentage is also satisfactory.

Chapters like SAE, ASME, IEEE, NSS, and IEDC and more are very active and have won competitions.
Placements: Recently 157 students were placed at TCS, but only 8 were from mechanical. Core companies have yet to arrive for the interviews. Now the final years are attending aptitude tests and online interviews. You have to keep in mind that most companies won't even want people with any arrears at all.
Infrastructure: The top facilities are the Labs. The labs are very much used by the students for academic purposes as well as chapters or clubs like SAE and ASME (main chapters that are mechanical-oriented). As far as the Men's hostels are concerned, the Diamond Jubilee Hostel is the best.
Faculty: The teachers are very helpful and knowledgeable, but they won't teach you the whole syllabus. They want you to learn most of it by yourself as the time is short for semesters. The core exams like Mechanics of Fluids and Thermodynamics are hard, but the total pass percentage is okay.

B.Tech. in Civil Engineering - Batch of 2025

Really good infrastructure and faculty members are also helpful.
Placements: Sometimes in some companies, about 12 or more students get placed from two batches, and that too those who are eligible. The highest package offered in my college was 12 LPA in my branch by Sobha company, but the thing is that the selection was only among boys, and girls can't participate in that one. That was the company's rules as they were selecting for site engineers. About 50,000 per month is the salary provided by L&T. Aarbee provides about 21,000 per month. L&T, Sobha, and Aarbee are among the top recruiting companies for my course. As I am from civil engineering, I think the recruitment that takes place is much lower in every college compared to other branches. About internships, students have done a minimum of 2 to 3, at least for about 15-20 days. The mainly offered role is of site engineering.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi and a library are available, and we have a department library and a central library. The infrastructure is also good, very neat and clean. We are provided with all the equipment in the lab. We have washing machines and Wi-Fi available at the hostel too. The quality of food available in the mess and canteen is also okay.
Faculty: The teachers are always helpful, but the only thing is that there is not enough time to teach all the things, and they will be finishing the last chapters in a hurry, but it's not their mistake as the university doesn't allow that much time. The semester exams are sometimes average or above average; it's for us to study hard anyway. I think we can answer that.
Other: Every faculty here will be ready to support you in any case, and they are friendly too. There will be a tech fest taking place in odd semesters and an arts fest taking place in even semesters. The tech fest is Takshak, and the arts fest is called Sanskriti. The fees may change as per the hostel. The tuition fee is paid to the university. The total count I wrote below includes only the fees we generally need to pay to the college at the starting. Hostel fees will be paid monthly.

A review by an average student.
Placements: The placement cell is active enough, and a lot of students are placed recently from college. Mechanical engineering and computer science engineering students are placed the most. Companies including TCS, Tata Motors, L&T, etc., are the top recruiting companies.
Infrastructure: The campus is equipped with Wi-Fi, but a firewall is installed. We cannot access most of the apps and websites, and the speed is also very low. A Wi-Fi fee of 1000 rupees is charged. Some of the buildings are very old, and some are under construction. Machines are also old.
Faculty: Mechanical engineering faculty are polite compared to other departments. The college is very strict, not good for enjoying the college vibes and freedom. It is better to choose government colleges for that. I don't like my college. It is likely to feel like studying in a private college with some exceptions.
Other: If you like to enjoy college life and freedom, choose any other government college. If you like to focus on academics, this is the best option.
