B.Tech. in Electrical Engineering - Batch of 2014

I am absolutely dissatisfied with our college because there are no placements.
Placements: Only 10% of the students have taken admission in our course. There are no placements, and none of the companies visits our college for placements. Still, some students prepare on their own to get jobs. A few students get government jobs. Only 1% of the students got internships from our course.
Infrastructure: Facilities provided in the library, hostel and our department were good. In the library, the Wi-Fi facility was good, and good books and magazines were provided in the library. The quality of the food available in the mess and canteen was very good. Every year, our college celebrates annual function and sports week.
Faculty: Some teachers here were very helpful in completing our training projects. They were highly qualified and knowledgeable. Their teaching quality was good, but some teachers don't have good teaching quality. This course does not make students industry-ready.

This college was very good for students at a time, but it is not up to the mark now.
Placements: There are no placements provided for our batch. When we asked our principal about this, he always ignored us by saying we called the companies and if the companies confirm, then we'll be informed through the notice boards. There were no placements for other branches like computer science engineering, electronics and communications, mechanical, and electrical engineering also. I was very hopeful about placements when I took admission in the college, but the college has ruined my degree.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is fairly good, but the building is kind of old. They have opened a school in the civil engineering building and shifted our batch to another building. The infrastructure of the lab is not good, and all the instruments are old and distorted. There are no lab assistants and no particular repairs to the equipment. The library has 5-6 years old books, and they do not renew them which causes a major problem to the students.
Faculty: Faculty members are not helpful except for one or two. They do not behave well. They just enjoy the company of their colleagues and other teachers, and they are not interested in taking classes for students. When we informed this to the management, they said they would sort it out, but they did nothing. In our 3rd and 4th year of our course, there were no classes at all. We went to college only for mid-semester, and the teachers didn't help students in the exam also. Instead, they insisted students to take private tuitions from them at their home.
Other: Internal assessment marks are not given by the college, and students failed due to this.

I was quite disappointed with the college.
Placements: There are no good placements in this college. The companies that attend our campus for placements are of the other fields rather than engineering. No special steps are taken to provide great placements as such. There were no placements in 2017, and no technical company came for placements. Some companies were of insurance other were of financial sectors. No company hired for a technical position in companies. At most 20% of the students got jobs, so the ratio is not quite good here. The students are not taught about how to tackle the interviews, and even the course we are taught is not related to the job in any way. The highest package which one can find being here is 3 LPA.
Infrastructure: In Marudhar Engineering College, the Wi-Fi facility is available in all the buildings. The labs and classrooms are fully ventilated and had lab equipment. In Marudhar Engineering College, the Wi-Fi facility is available in all the buildings. The labs and classrooms are fully ventilated and had lab equipment. The library is awesome and contains many books related to the respective stream and others. There is less focus on sports, as there are few students. The campus is spread over 130 acres and can be utilized more.
Faculty: Faculty are good, but the curriculum needs to be more updated at the university level. There should be a competitive environment in college and among students. The faculty members are very helpful. They are always ready to clear your doubts at any time. The faculty to student ratio is about 1:60. They do not provide any kind of summer training and industrial visit which is mandatory in the current curriculum, so that's a major drawback.
Other: It is not like a college you see in the movies and the T. V. shows, but you can get a good environment which makes you feel like you are in the college now. College does not have any provision for scholarships. You cannot enjoy being here. Just some events like annual day and some festive events take place every year and that too not on a large scale.

Absolutely dissatisfied with the management team, lack of facilities and co-curriculum activities.
Placements: The placements are normal. No special steps are taken to provide great placements as such. There were no placements in 2017, and no technical company came for placements. Some companies were of insurance other were of finance sectors. No company hired for a technical position in companies.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of college is great, but there is no cooler or AC in the classrooms. Labs are MS and well-managed. The library is good, but books are not revised in it. There are no medical facilities available. There is no word called sports in the dictionary of this college. Poor quality of food is available here.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful, but they have only done graduation, so they lack knowledge, whereas some faculty members are really good. We were not provided industry exposure in the period of our graduation. The teaching quality of the faculty was average; neither good nor bad.

In my views if possible skip this college.
Placements: There is nothing good about this college. Most of the time the companies which visit are mass recruiter and they just take students at very low package. There is literally no assistance from college side they will not help in interviews and even not provide with the tips to tackle the tricky situations. The average package is quite low around 2 LPA. The only visiting companies are tcs and hcl. There is no placement cell and most of the companies offer job in back end developments for technical department.
Infrastructure: The campus is not that good. The building is old and lacks some basic amenities like a water purifier and a proper ventilation in classrooms. This all adds up to make life more difficult in summers. There is big football ground but not well maintained. There is a library but most books are of old editions and even no proper sitting facility there. The canteen food is average and if you cant find anything with you then you can a take a meal there. Labs are not properly equipped and there id no hostel facility provided in campus.
Faculty: The course is very outdated and most of the things we are taught has literally no use in the upcoming field of ours. The teachers are definitely qualified but they lacks the skill to communicate with the students. But they are will give marks easily in the end as they pay very little attention to our academic performance. NO industrial exposure will be provided by college. The teacher to student ratio is 1 is to 30 and they normal give oral lecture using textbook and uses blackboard if needed.
Other: There is nothing much to tell about the other activities as there is hardly any fest or event. Nothing much entertaining here.

THINK! You can end up wasting your four years here.
Placements: There is a placement cell. The average salary package offered was 2.5 Lacs per annum. At most 20 % of student got the job so the ratio is not quite good here. The students are not taught about how to tackle the interviews and even the course we are taught is not related to the job in any ways. The only company which visit here is the mass recruiter and even than only 20% of students got the job, this speaks about the situation itself. The highest package which one can find being here is 4 LPA. The situation is getting worse year by year so please avoid being here.
Infrastructure: There is nothing too special about the college even the campus is just average there is no proper facilities available here. No big ground to play football or other outdoor activities. The labs are poorly maintained most of the instruments are missing from there. There is no auditorium to organize any kinds of seminars, there is a hall to do that but its capacity is very low. The classrooms are old themed only, no projector installed in it. The library here is very small most of the books are of old edition and even they is no proper sitting facility available in it. Canteen is just okay there you can find only ready made foods like samosa, patties and that too at double the standard rates.
Faculty: The faculty seems to under qualified as they always look into the book while teaching and it seems as if they are just reading out what is written in it. They are helpful as they give more than expected marks in the internals so that eventually boost your grades even if you don't know much in studies. Ratio between students and teacher seem to be fine, for every 40 students you will find one teacher. They does not provide any kind of summer training and industrial visit which is mandatory in current curriculum so that's a major drawback.
Other: You will hardly find a any good event or fest here. The life can be very boring here as there is no extra activities going on here. College do not have any provision for scholarships. You cannot enjoy being here.
