Q:   Is B.Sc. at Marwari College a good choice?

    A:
    {Source: B.Sc. students & alumni}

After reviewing the statements from students and alumni, here's a summary of the key points:

    Pros:

    * Good infrastructure: The college has modern facilities such as Wi-Fi, parking, libraries, and a canteen.
    * Knowledgeable teachers: Most teachers are qualified and knowledgeable in their subjects.
    * Course curriculum: While the curriculum might not be industry-relevant, it covers the required topics.

    Cons:

    * Limited opportunities: There is no placement process, and companies rarely visit the campus for recruitments. Internship opportunities are scarce, and most students rely on self-initiative.
    * Attitude issues: Some teachers have a reputation for being arrogant and unhelpful.
    * Poor teaching quality: A few students reported that teachers focus more on theory than practical learning.
    * Limited hostel and dining facilities: The hostel and canteen facilities are not up to par.
    * Medical facilities: There is no dedicated medical center within the college premises.
    * Low student population: With only around 7-8% of students enrolled in the course, it may feel isolating.

Overall, while Marwari College offers decent infrastructure and knowledgeable teachers, its limitations in terms of career prospects and teacher-student relationships might impact the overall experience. It seems that the college focuses more on providing academic knowledge rather than preparing students for the workforce. For students seeking a degree, however, the course may still be a viable option.

You should take admission in this college. Faculty, infrastructure, etc., are really good.
Placements: A total of 36-38 students were placed in my course, i.e., more than 500 students. The highest package was 7 Lacs approximately and the lowest was 2.5 Lacs in my final year. Wipro took students from my college for internships. Roles of accountants are mostly offered in my course. Marwari College doesn't provide placements, and no companies are tied up with this college to bring placements for students. There are no scholarships or internships by the college, and until now, only local companies from Bhagalpur have offered a few jobs.
Infrastructure: Marwari College is newly established, so the infrastructure of the building is very good. It is modern and well-maintained, with a few parks surrounding the college. The college campus has Wi-Fi and well-maintained labs. There are many labs in the college: Chemistry lab, Physics lab, Computer lab, Zoology, and Botany lab. There is a field beside the college named University Stadium, where you can play all the cabs available on the college campus. One more thing, you can join NCC. The hostel facility is not so well; you will not get royal facilities. Normally, the hostel is available only for SC/ST quota. The facilities in the hostel are not well-maintained, and you will not get 24x7 electricity. Actually, it is a free hostel, so it lacks facilities.
Faculty: Teachers are absolutely qualified and eager to help students out with any doubts. They are highly qualified and knowledgeable. The course is relevant and prepares students for a professional career and industry. Semester exams are average in terms of difficulty.
Other: I chose my course because I believe it offers promising career prospects. The coursework is rigorous and demanding, providing me with the opportunity to expand my knowledge, sharpen my critical thinking skills, and overcome academic hurdles. Campus life is also good and full of crowds.

Low fee structure because it is a government college.
Placements: There is no placement process in the college. No companies comes here for requirement for students. Students get internship for their own potential. And students get placement with their own skills. And many students comes here only for degree purpose.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is good and the classrooms are well-equipped. College provides Wi-Fi facilities, parking and libraries have all subject-related books. The college has a canteen. And has a seperate ground area. Sports and games are also provided here. But hostel facility is not here very well.
Faculty: Teachers are qualified and knowledgeable but they have lots of attitude and ego in themselves. The course curriculum is also very good but colleges give very limited classes and do not complete the syllabus on time. Exams are conducted well and questions are much difficult.

    It is an average college.
Placements: Only 7-8% of students are studying in our course. Companies do not visit our college for placements. None of the students from our course get an internship. If you want to get only knowledge, then you can join this course and get admission to this college.
Infrastructure: Facilities like Wi-Fi, labs, classrooms, and library are good in our college. The quality of food served is not too good. We play sports like cricket and football in our college. There are no good medical facilities. If you get injured accidentally inside the college, then teachers may admit you to the nearest clinic or hospital.
Faculty: Teachers are qualified and knowledgeable. Their teaching quality is also good. The course curriculum is not relevant, and it does not make students industry-ready. Semester exams are not difficult. Almost 90-95% of students pass the exams because questions are not too hard and we should read the last 10 years' question bank.
Other: I have chosen this course because I love to know about plants. The best thing about our course is that we can save plants.

It is a really good sports campus and has good education facilities. I love it.
Placements: In this college, only those students who get about 70% to 80% of marks get admission. Until now, offers are not provided in the course I am doing. I think none of the students would have been offered internships. There is no recruitment company related to this course. So there is no offer from any company for this related subject.
Infrastructure: There are Wi-Fi, laboratories, classrooms, library, auditorium, etc. The hostel here is also very good, and the food served in the canteen is also very good. I don't know anything about medical facilities. Apart from sports and games, NCC is also conducted here.
Faculty: The teachers here are very good mentors and educators. Their way of teaching and speaking is very good. There is no such education in this college that any student becomes industry-ready or becomes brilliant.

I love my college. But I don't recommend it to anyone.
Placements: My college is not for placements. It’s just only for degrees. You can take admission. However, I don't think it is worthy. Being a student there I met with many persons who were supportive and helped me in every circumstance.
Infrastructure: All the things were just for showoff. We were not able to use them. There was neither any hostel, nor a mess from where we can have food. Sports was there and that was pretty good. We have a big stadium on which we could play. We have not been to the library. So no comments on that.
Faculty: Teachers were in full attitude. But some of them were really qualified, however they did not help us. The courses are easy in accordance with Bihar board. Passing percentage is around 70-80%. I was among the 3 toppers of my college.
Other: I am good in Chemistry. So I chose this course.

I am absolutely dissatisfied because they don't provide good teaching and other facilities.
Placements: I think that about twenty-two percent of students were placed in this course. The highest salary was offered is Rs 6000 and the lowest is Rs 5000 and average salary was offered is about Rs 90000 in a month. About seven percent of students got internship from this course.
Infrastructure: The facilities and infrastructure available for this course is very bad. Classrooms are dirty and I don't like the labs and library of this college. The quality of the facilities in hostel is very bad, the quality of food available in the canteen is also bad and they don't provide medical facilities.
Faculty: No, the teachers are not helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. The quality of teaching is bad. Teachers does not teach properly, they are passing the time only. No, this course curriculum does not relevant. No, it does not make the students industry ready.
Other: I chose this course because I have interest in this but teachers don't teach properly and I felt many problems because of teachers.
